I am pretty sure it's not, both on dual blades and this grapple combo, if you grapple the enemy you will hit them sooner then if u grapple the ground -> more height, confirmed followup
If you want a takeda ult starter, you can grapple the ground.

okay, but wdym about dual blades? Horizontal into grapple to the ground into charged vertical is possible for the dual blades, if that's what you are talking about. I understand about the height for the fan tho.

@@llexnn555 The 'normal' grapple combos (c.V. -> Grapple -> some focus attack) actually do work when grappling the ground, even for Fan & Dual blades/halberts. (~25 ping, ~120fps)

its a lot more inconsistent, if you do grapple perfectly every time its ok, but if ur slightly late with grappling the ground low ping can often dodge out while if u grapple enemy u have a longer timeframe

its a souljade, assassin lunge does the same, its purple souldjade as well. Technically assassin lunge is better overall

211 and other cn popular combos are very powerful, i just showcased some of the more basic moves here.
Weapon swaps are also top meta, but yeah i guess west is a bit unique, here we do a lot of unnecessarily complicated combos that look good haha
