Every single one of Dimash's music videos is like a mini movie and he switches genres with every one. Going from cyberpunk in Golden, pure comedy in Be With Me contemporary romance in Akkuym, art pieces with a story like Know and Love of Tired Swans, historical romance in Okay to his magnum opus of The Story of One Sky which he both composed, wrote the script and acted the main role. It took 3 years and a cast and crew of 400 people to bring to life. Even his autobiographical work Omir has a beautifully put together video to accompany it. I've never seen a music video from him that was anything less than perfection, he's got input into everything he does and is quite often seen examining the recorded footage as he has firm ideas on what he wants. He self directed his music video for Qairan Elim mid pandemic and that is such a beautiful video, he was granted a scholarship to attend the New York Film School in Los Angeles but is still working on his PhD in musicology and felt it would take too much time from his music so gifted the scholarship to someone else who he felt would get more out of it. He's probably got the greatest creative mind of our generation and his ability to switch genres, often within the same song is very different from any musician out there today.

Yeah, this guy is easily one of the most artistically gifted people on Earth! There is even a joke within the fandom {he calls us his 'Dears'} that he is actually an alien because of the sheer number and depths of all of his talents and skills... Dimash's MVs are exceedingly cinematic and of very high quality. This MV was filmed in Astana Kazakhstan. A very talented film crew brought Dimash's vision to life. Dimash produces all of his songs and also composed this one. Note the production company is DimashAli Creative Center which is wholly owned by Dimash and his family. Dimash is currently in China making guest appearances on tv shows but will make his way back to Kazakhstan for his scheduled Sept concert in Astana. The concert sold out in a little over three days with 30,000 tickets. The demand is still so great Dimash has added a second day concert which will go on sale tomorrow. So far 9,000 fans from 40 countries around the world managed to snag tickets. Usually his concerts have up to 70 or more countries flying in to wherever Dimash's concert is being held in the world so the fans who did not get to buy a ticket will have one more chance. 😄His last concert in Kazakhstan was 2 years ago so this is a very hot venue for the Dears (fans). Kazakhstan is a very beautiful country to visit in addition to seeing and hearing the most beautiful voice in the world. Dimash puts on a fantastic show.
@@bejewel4669 I hope you don't mind me making one correction? The MV was filmed in Almaty. I believe it was the Czech Dears who pinpointed the actual building that was used. I believe it was either a private house that was converted to a hotel or the other way round, I can't remember which now.

Really enjoyed your reaction! The MV was shot in Almaty Kazakhstan, it's a small fancy boutique hotel. It's actually the same location from the outside as well. Small is a supermarket chain in Kazakhstan and they have been sponsoring Dimash for a while now. His next concert is sponsored by them as well. We all love the vampire costume! He wore it for few performances and concerts and we got to see it up close. There is so much details in it. It looks amazing! Dimash is the kind of artist who does whatever he wants so he has many different MVs that each have their own style and feel. Everyone already recommended it, but I will recommend The Story Of One Sky as well. Dimash was involved in almost every part of that video, he composed the music and wrote the story\script for the MV for it. Qiran Elim is another MV I would recommend, there Dimash helped direct it himself and even stood behind the camera for some of the scenes.
Many reactionaries listen only to Dimash’s voice and don’t notice the small details of the video, but you’re great, you notice everything and formulate your thoughts correctly

You might find it interesting to know the brilliant genius Dimash is also a humble, kind human being, working to bring the world together with his music in 15 languages and concerts. He fills stadiums with people from 50 to 70 different countries. He is a Goodwill UN ambassador for Central Asia, working on ethical treatment of migrants. He yet remains humble and feels he needs to be with his conduct an example for people, particularly young people. His fans, his Dears, love and admire him so much that there was a tiny bit of shock and concern among some that word of his being a vampire leaked last fall, that he was going to the “dark side.” Then he performed this song in his concert in Hong Kong last winter/spring. “Oh my gosh, it’s the vampire song!” I really feel that this was a tiny bit of a joke he played on us (that tiny smile when he is by her neck but does not bite her!) He had the freedom to play around in this genre but still remain our beautiful, pure Dimash. It was all a dream.

I think that most people watching a movie or video will say they liked it very much, not necessarily knowing why - it just looked great and everything seemed to blend together naturally. I found your explanation of colour grading and especially the lighting to be enlightening - pun intended. Yes, others here have mentioned Dimash videos are always professionally produced and for some reactors will notice more the music and the vocals over the movie aspects, yet others concentrating the other way round. But even when Dimash sings live, you will see incredible visual effects that are obviously well thought through. You have found a rabbit hole into which you can float easily down through the musical life of Dimash (so far), at the same time, lifting your heart and soul. Go with the Dimash flow and be prepared for surprises every time!

Be prepared to be moved and impressed all over again by his voice. Dimash really is the greatest voice of the century, maybe ever, and I’m really not exaggerating! And each one is different - just like his songs. Dimash is a musical chameleon. One day he might sing opera and the next he sings pop, then he might rap or work on something with electronic sounds. 😅 The only thing that is consistent is the outstanding quality of his voice! And the work he puts into everything! And his voice is one of a kind. I would feel remiss if I didn't recommend The Story of One Sky. Dimash spent 3 years composing the music, writing the screenplay, and creating an absolutely awesome short film. I can not recommend it highly enough. His vocal agility, creativity, hard work and world vision set him apart from all others. I often liken his ability to capture the soul to that of the mythic Orpheus. He is made of music. He is a national treasure of the people of Kazakhstan.
This was an interesting and rather unique reaction. I quite enjoyed it. The reaction's uniqueness was the result of contradictions. You have a solid understanding of film production, yet you are completely unaware of Dimash's vast musical abilities. Most reactors to this video are just the opposite and are taken by yet another genre mastered by Dimash. Thank you for an outstanding view. SMALL was identified by a professor (Russian?) in his CZcams reaction as a supermarket in Almaty, Kazakstan. He also identified the mansion as being on the outskirts of Almaty. I don't recall its name. You had an interesting perspective for a reaction. I love it when someone brings serious expertise to a review that's relevant in in some way. And yours is.

@@manondereeper yes, it was all done in the same building, both exterior and interior. It was obviously dressed to look very different from usual but all of the filming was done in It's various rooms. Dimash is extremely private and only gives out just as much information as he thinks we need so Dears have become very good detectives and I believe they also discovered pictures from when the building is up for sale so we got a very comprehensive look around the building from the inside. As an independent artist who was last year given the award of People's Artist of Kazakhstan, he gets sponsorship and the use of whatever he wants in his own country so he'll quite often use buildings like hotels and areas of Kazakhstan because it's seen as a huge endorsement if Dimash uses your facility. Small is a major chain of supermarkets in Kazakhstan who not only sponsored this video but are also sponsoring his concerts in September. This enables Dimash to take his concerts in his homeland to a level rarely seen outside of something like Wembley Stadium.
DQ is paying homage to the old horror film classics of Hammer films showcasing famous actors Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee. Indeed he looks a lot like Michael Jackson's Thriller. There is Paulina arriving like "Interview with a Vampire". Finally, the butler looks like Lurch from the old TV show, the Addams Family. Note the snapping of fingers which was in their theme song. Small in the beginning and the end credits embeds the videography in the film so editing won't diminish the recognition. DQ can claim so many genres with seamless transition yet make even the mundane a masterpiece. He is an artist of many generations and is astounding his fans, "Dears". Enjoy the ride.

Rarely do we get to enjoy such a knowledgeable reaction by a real expert - kudos to Manon. Like so many before, I recommend The Story Of One Sky, but with a warning. It is a densely packed work of art, easily overwhelming the first-time viewer, so take your time, repeat sections to really understand what they mean and don't lose track of Dimash's stunning vocals. Here in When I Got You, you heard only a tiny fraction of his mighty instrument. The Story Of One Sky covers maybe 75 % of it, and that alone makes the video so overwhelming.

Yes, various nods to various movies and to MJ's Thriller. Vampire in Love and Interview with a Vampire. He leaves the ending open. Did it happen? Was it just a dream? Will there be a sequel!? But we see her story already in print in her hands in the car... And the car is returning - not departing. Did he decide not to take her into his vampire bride harem, but to let her go. Is this a test of her love? Will she return to stay with him, not of compulsion / possession, but of her Free Will?! Is she his real 'Gateway To Heaven'? Has he 'GOT' her - or not?!!! So many questions! Fun. Dimash has produced some serious works with strong humanitarian and anti-war messaging, so this is a relatively 'light' piece, and tailored to a broader - perhaps more 'Western' market. In terms of his extraordinary vocal prowess, this is also just a taste test. There's only one other film maker reactor (that I've seen, and I've seen an embarrassing amount of Dimash reactions) that reacts to Dimash's mvs and he didn't go in depth the way you have. Dimash sings from classical to rap, he is full of surprises, have a good swim in this vast Ocean of pleasures. Do you remember the Diva song from The Fifth Element, a movie with Bruce Willis? In this film, the song of the alien Diva was made half with the voice of an opera singer, and half synthesized on a computer to show an alien voice so that human capabilities could not cover the range and jumps of this song, and so: Dimash sang it calmly, which proves that Dimash is an alien. When heard Dimash sing, I thought that he was not human. When heard what he said in an interview, realized that Dimash is more of a human than all of Us.
This is a great video for you to start out with to get a sense of the quality of his music videos especially given that he runs his own production company. The song, however, as good as it is, does not come anywhere close to showcasing his true vocal talents.

В 1994 году Майкл готовился к свадьбе, накануне свадьбы он подарил на память медицинской сестре, которая работала в усадьбе, свою афишу с автографом и датой. Спустя много лет эта леди стала поклонницей Димаша - юного певца из далёкого Казахстана. В результате невероятного стечения обстоятельств ей удалось встретить Димаша и подарить ему эту афишу. Dimash provides the full package- incredible vocal skills and visually stunning videos. Dimash loves to participate in the production of his videos and has participated in directing some of his own music videos. (One of the other dears could perhaps confirm the rumour I had heard that - before he opted to continue touring with his Stranger tour - Dimash had contemplated studying in the US for filmmaking? He already holds a Masters degree in composition.). One of the first videos Dimash was heavily involved in directing was Qairan Elim (my spelling is possibly off!), but it is already impressive (in Kazakh) and demonstrates well some of the evolution of Dimash’s more contemporary videos. Dimash has always had beautiful music videos, I recommend of course story of one sky, Know, Screaming, and Love of tired Swans, there are plenty more but those are the first to come to mind. Every single one of Dimash's music videos is like a mini movie and he switches genres with every one. Going from cyberpunk in Golden, pure comedy in Be With Me contemporary romance in Akkuym, art pieces with a story like Know and Love of Tired Swans, historical romance in Okay to his magnum opus of The Story of One Sky which he both composed, wrote the script and acted the main role. It took 3 years and a cast and crew of 400 people to bring to life.
Even his autobiographical work Omir has a beautifully put together video to accompany it.
I've never seen a music video from him that was anything less than perfection, he's got input into everything he does and is quite often seen examining the recorded footage as he has firm ideas on what he wants.
He self directed his music video for Qairan Elim mid pandemic and that is such a beautiful video, he was granted a scholarship to attend the New York Film School in Los Angeles but is still working on his PhD in musicology and felt it would take too much time from his music so gifted the scholarship to someone else who he felt would get more out of it.
He's probably got the greatest creative mind of our generation and his ability to switch genres, often within the same song is very different from any musician out there today.

Dimash's MVs are exceedingly cinematic and of very high quality. This MV was filmed in Astana Kazakhstan. A very talented film crew brought Dimash's vision to life. Dimash produces all of his songs and also composed this one. Note the production company is DimashAli Creative Center which is wholly owned by Dimash and his family.
Dimash is currently in China making guest appearances on tv shows but will make his way back to Kazakhstan for his scheduled Sept concert in Astana. The concert sold out in a little over three days with 30,000 tickets. The demand is still so great Dimash has added a second day concert which will go on sale tomorrow. So far 9,000 fans from 40 countries around the world managed to snag tickets. Usually his concerts have up to 70 or more countries flying in to wherever Dimash's concert is being held in the world so the fans who did not get to buy a ticket will have one more chance. 😄His last concert in Kazakhstan was 2 years ago so this is a very hot venue for the Dears (fans). Kazakhstan is a very beautiful country to visit in addition to seeing and hearing the most beautiful voice in the world. Dimash puts on a fantastic show.

We all love the vampire costume! He wore it for few performances and concerts and we got to see it up close. There is so much details in it. It looks amazing!
Dimash is the kind of artist who does whatever he wants so he has many different MVs that each have their own style and feel. Everyone already recommended it, but I will recommend The Story Of One Sky as well. Dimash was involved in almost every part of that video, he composed the music and wrote the story\script for the MV for it.
Qiran Elim is another MV I would recommend, there Dimash helped direct it himself and even stood behind the camera for some of the scenes.

You might find it interesting to know the brilliant genius Dimash is also a humble, kind human being, working to bring the world together with his music in 15 languages and concerts. He fills stadiums with people from 50 to 70 different countries. He is a Goodwill UN ambassador for Central Asia, working on ethical treatment of migrants. He yet remains humble and feels he needs to be with his conduct an example for people, particularly young people. His fans, his Dears, love and admire him so much that there was a tiny bit of shock and concern among some that word of his being a vampire leaked last fall, that he was going to the “dark side.” Then he performed this song in his concert in Hong Kong last winter/spring. “Oh my gosh, it’s the vampire song!” I really feel that this was a tiny bit of a joke he played on us (that tiny smile when he is by her neck but does not bite her!) He had the freedom to play around in this genre but still remain our beautiful, pure Dimash. It was all a dream.

I think that most people watching a movie or video will say they liked it very much, not necessarily knowing why - it just looked great and everything seemed to blend together naturally. I found your explanation of colour grading and especially the lighting to be enlightening - pun intended. Yes, others here have mentioned Dimash videos are always professionally produced and for some reactors will notice more the music and the vocals over the movie aspects, yet others concentrating the other way round. But even when Dimash sings live, you will see incredible visual effects that are obviously well thought through. You have found a rabbit hole into which you can float easily down through the musical life of Dimash (so far), at the same time, lifting your heart and soul. Go with the Dimash flow and be prepared for surprises every time!

I would feel remiss if I didn't recommend The Story of One Sky. Dimash spent 3 years composing the music, writing the screenplay, and creating an absolutely awesome short film. I can not recommend it highly enough. His vocal agility, creativity, hard work and world vision set him apart from all others. I often liken his ability to capture the soul to that of the mythic Orpheus. He is made of music. He is a national treasure of the people of Kazakhstan.
This was an interesting and rather unique reaction. I quite enjoyed it. The reaction's uniqueness was the result of contradictions. You have a solid understanding of film production, yet you are completely unaware of Dimash's vast musical abilities. Most reactors to this video are just the opposite and are taken by yet another genre mastered by Dimash. Thank you for an outstanding view. I read somewhere that the mansion is actually a Hotel also in Almaty transformed for the purpose of the video and that "SMALL" is a Kazakh supermarket chain.

SMALL was identified by a professor (Russian?) in his CZcams reaction as a supermarket in Almaty, Kazakstan. He also identified the mansion as being on the outskirts of Almaty. I don't recall its name.

@@manondereeper yes, it was all done in the same building, both exterior and interior. It was obviously dressed to look very different from usual but all of the filming was done in It's various rooms.
Dimash is extremely private and only gives out just as much information as he thinks we need so Dears have become very good detectives and I believe they also discovered pictures from when the building is up for sale so we got a very comprehensive look around the building from the inside.
As an independent artist who was last year given the award of People's Artist of Kazakhstan, he gets sponsorship and the use of whatever he wants in his own country so he'll quite often use buildings like hotels and areas of Kazakhstan because it's seen as a huge endorsement if Dimash uses your facility. Small is a major chain of supermarkets in Kazakhstan who not only sponsored this video but are also sponsoring his concerts in September. This enables Dimash to take his concerts in his homeland to a level rarely seen outside of something like Wembley Stadium.
DQ is paying homage to the old horror film classics of Hammer films showcasing famous actors Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee. Indeed he looks a lot like Michael Jackson's Thriller. There is Paulina arriving like "Interview with a Vampire". Finally, the butler looks like Lurch from the old TV show, the Addams Family. Note the snapping of fingers which was in their theme song. Small in the beginning and the end credits embeds the videography in the film so editing won't diminish the recognition. DQ can claim so many genres with seamless transition yet make even the mundane a masterpiece. He is an artist of many generations and is astounding his fans, "Dears". Enjoy the ride.

Like so many before, I recommend The Story Of One Sky, but with a warning. It is a densely packed work of art, easily overwhelming the first-time viewer, so take your time, repeat sections to really understand what they mean and don't lose track of Dimash's stunning vocals. Here in When I Got You, you heard only a tiny fraction of his mighty instrument. The Story Of One Sky covers maybe 75 % of it, and that alone makes the video so overwhelming.

I'm late to the comments but this was so refreshing. There's only one other film maker reactor (that I've seen, and I've seen an embarrassing amount of Dimash reactions) that reacts to Dimash's mvs and he didn't go in depth the way you have. With this song, you just wet your fingertips in the ocean under the name Dimash... React further to it and millions of Dimash fans will simply blow up your channel with hundreds of thousands of views and subscriptions. Dimash sings from classical to rap, he is full of surprises, have a good swim in this vast Ocean of pleasures. Do you remember the Diva song from The Fifth Element, a movie with Bruce Willis? This is a great video for you to start out with to get a sense of the quality of his music videos especially given that he runs his own production company. The song, however, as good as it is, does not come anywhere close to showcasing his true vocal talents.

Me gustó mucho tu reacción a este tema, tus comentarios son totalmente acertados, Dimash es fanático total de Michael Jackson y siempre que puede introduce aluciones a él. Con respecto a lo que consultabas de que se trataba la palabra SMALL, es simplemente un patrocinador. Pero como veo que tus analisis se enfocan mas en lo cinematográfico te recomiendo "The story of one sky", es casi un cortometraje, dura 13 minutos y le llevó 3 años terminarlo. Dimash, si bien es de religión musulmana, es muy respetuoso de todo tipo de religiones y creencias, y tiene muchas canciones cuyas letras abogan por la paz. Ese tema es durisimo, muestra la crueldad de la guerra, los origenes de los conflictos, pero termina con un mensaje esperanzador. Me gustaría mucho ver tu analisis de ese tema.

Dimash provides the full package- incredible vocal skills and visually stunning videos. Dimash loves to participate in the production of his videos and has participated in directing some of his own music videos. (One of the other dears could perhaps confirm the rumour I had heard that - before he opted to continue touring with his Stranger tour - Dimash had contemplated studying in the US for filmmaking? He already holds a Masters degree in composition.). One of the first videos Dimash was heavily involved in directing was Qairan Elim (my spelling is possibly off!), but it is already impressive (in Kazakh) and demonstrates well some of the evolution of Dimash’s more contemporary videos. On February 26, 2024 in Istanbul, Dimash Qudaibergen presented a music video for a new work “When I’ve got you”. The premiere took place as part of a press conference held by the artist in connection with his upcoming solo concert in Turkiye.
The main idea of the clip belongs to Dimash and the MV’s director Galym Asylov: “A world-famous artist, who leads a very private lifestyle, decided to give his first open interview. The young journalist chosen by him goes to the meeting in great excitement, immensely worried and tormented by the question: “What if?…”. The woman’s vivid imagination suggests a mysterious image of the main character and plunges her into a mystical story.
“Everyone knows that Dimash is a kind and simple person. Not much is known about his personal life, he does not often appear in the media space and does not give particularly personal interviews. We wanted to present the artist from a slightly different side, in a “book”, fictionalized image”, - shared the director.
Galym Assylov and Zhanibek Gusmanov - the second director of the project and line producer say that the shooting process was very interesting, it took place in Almaty. A creative team of more than 70 people worked on the clip with the involvement of specialists from China. It was there that the costume of the main character was sewn and together with Kazakhstan specialists created the whole image of the artist.
The casting was not simple enough: many actresses and models were tried for the role of the main character and other characters. Three locations were used in the clip, and the search for ancient culture was not an easy task. In a creative atmosphere, a large international team tried to create a mysterious story in every element of the interior, in every detail of the costume, in every frame.
The composition itself was written by Dimash. The author of the lyrics was Candice Kelly. The co-writer of the lyrics, co-producer, orchestrator and arranger was Dmytro Gordon.
“Working with Dimash is a dream for many, and I felt extremely honored and privileged that he has entrusted me to work on this song with him. It felt like a great responsibility, as “When I’ve Got You” was a step into a new direction for Dimash as an artist, and it was also something different for his core audience. Dimash told me that for some time, he wanted a track on the verge of blues, jazz, rock, and r&b, and my suggestion was to make it sound fresh and edgy - something raw but beautiful, something truly unexpected. That has resulted in a blend of some heavy drums, electric guitars and piano together with the orchestra, synthesizers, harmonica, and even a choir. Dimash said: “It is impossible to convey the emotions at the moment when you perform a new composition for the first time with words. Dimash has always had beautiful music videos, I recommend of course story of one sky, Know, Screaming, and Love of tired Swans, there are plenty more but those are the first to come to mind. That Mansion is in North Khazakistan from my understanding, I don't know if it all was shot there, I assumed it was but never know 😊
