Deliverance is complete only by the entrance of the word of God. Prayers alone don't do the finished work, that's why Bible says that such one's end will be worse than the beginning, because after the prayers, and the person is still empty (not filled with the word of God) the demon will go look for more powerful demons to come to where it was pursued from. Repentance, prayers, the entrance of the word of God, all together make finished deliverance.

i wish they corrected the mother's statement about her enemies not succeeding over her. Although enemies do exist and they work against us it is only when you give them the right of way. She mentioned Jesus and said short prayers but it was so obvious that the parents laid the faulty foundation for their children . To think that she said all is well with the children when the husband mentioned receiving an urgent text from the pastor. She was clueless. But such is life. I loved this movie and all the lessons that it brought about.
i only hope there will be counselors when the children of God need it, because these people were fortunate.

Hmmm.......interesting story, when my sister gained admission to the university in 1988, my parents sat her down and told her not to join the SU’s. According to them, the born agains and SU’s would teach her to dress shabbily and destroy her chances of marrying a decent young man, fellowship meetings would also distract her from studying and from getting the best grades.
My mum was born again and my dad religious. I remember there were born again parents back then who also instructed their children not to join born again Christians on campus so that they would not be distracted.
My sister had been a Christian so she joined a fellowship and a powerful youth group which gave her an anchor and a focus. When I entered university, I got into fellowship too. Children cannot study all the time, teenagers need a distraction, and if it’s not Jesus, it may end up being sex, drugs or some other harmful thing. . Most fellowships now understand how born again Christians would get a bad reputation if persons who have been straight A students begin to fail so they specifically counsel members to achieve a balance between their studies and their relationship with God.
Annalisa and Victor’s parents are opportunistic Christians who remember God and become prayer warriors only when they find themselves in trouble. May God help us to not be this kind of Christians. We should walk with the Lord and be consistent each day.
Instead of taking responsibility for their shortcomings, the mother insists it’s her enemies who have caught up with her. You left your precious children in the care of a pastor and you did not stay in touch with him. He had not heard from your children and it didn’t matter. The parents were negligent of their duties as parents.

Youngs men and youngs women of this new generations should not always prove they know it all by saying that they don't need Spiritual guidance and counsel especially on marital and others issues of life. They must and should know that life without God is a meaningless life. Though in this case, the parents are not helping the Spiritual status of their children just because they are not Spiritual too. That is why the Bible says that obey your parents in the Lord and honour your biological parents.

Some of the acting could be better
This is a good depiction of what sometimes goes on in the life of born again christians. Somehow the enemy finds a gateway whether it's pride, idolatry, rebellion, deception lust, arrogance, of the flesh and covetousness by compromising with the world's standard as depicted by the parents and then children. One can go to church, read scriptures all they want but it's of non effect unless there's a relationship with the Yeshua through the Holy Spirit who is our advocate and guide. The Holy spirit expose what's in our hearts as we engage earnestly, then we can repent , go through deliverance which is the children's bread and walk with God cause we know have experience the wilderness to be very expensive as God shapes our character. The mother kept speaking of "her enemies" yet she's done nothing but depict selfishness, yelling about her so called enemies using her children as accessories (idols), sitting in agreement with her husband's deception ( he told the children they should be tactful rather than other was disobedient to wrong to lie to the pastor). It would be helpful if more man and women of God(especially Africans), his watchman would be as engaged, loving, honest, persistent,patient, forgiving, discerning,prayerful as called all over the world in the lives of Christians they claim is their spiritual sons and daughters, or congregation, instead of worrying about mammon and a church building, sow the word let the worshippers know about heaven and hell, they're fighting a real enemy, the armor of God and trained how to identify and use their swords effectively with God's help, the blood, power of the Holy Spirit, point them to the cross not to man so their hearts are positioned & in line with God. Head covering was very popular for women in churches in those days during prayers. In fact, some women would quickly find handkerchiefs to cover the head if they ran into a prayer meeting. What changed? The oldest form of Christianity is the closest to the gospel in my opinion.
