    Beautiful.
I plan to buy a boat in a few years, and this was a wonderful demonstration of how to tie up.
    Thank you for the video!!

Thanks for that! I’m no expert, but I’m trying to learn as I go. Good luck with your plans, it’s a journey you won’t regret! 👍

Some fenders on the port side, in case of accidents but otherwise well done. have you got Duncan Wells stress free sailing?

Gus VDS34 Thanks, having a yacht is a steep learning curve, and I’ll always still be learning I think!

That was fun to watch thanks. Docking in wind is tricky and you have it well sorted.

Nice single-handed docking. Always a challenge for solo sailors. Well done.

Thanks Patrick, coming from you that’s much appreciated. I’ve watched all of your videos. They’re very informative, instructional and of very high value in the Internet Sailing World!

Awesome video , loved the point of view from the camera...where’s it situated? I can see your adjustable back stay so I assume a solar panel frame or similar?
Lol, cultalry draw going for a burton hahah we’ve all been there.
Yup really enjoyed seeing how she handles .
What keel type do you have?

    • @briangetsaround4851
      @briangetsaround4851  Před 3 lety +1

Hello, thanks for that, I’m still learning! Camera is on a radar pole that we have right at the stern, that I’ve also now mounted a 150watt solar panel to. Can’t wait to get out again after lockdown...

Forgot to add our keel is a fin,, swept back in angle. The draft is only 1.3m, but it’s a lead keel, so she stands up to her canvas pretty well.

Thank you, watched it til the end , really good. Never been a fan of in mast furling systems but it clearly works with your boat. Loved the way you had it balanced so sweetly. I have an Elizabethan 29 long fin keeled boat, mine suffers terrible weather helm even at low
Wind speeds but when she’s balanced like yours sails nice, and cuts through the waves too and keeps on going( wish I could say the same
For the contents of my stomach at this point) .
      Anyway great video and commentary.
What drone you using and why aren’t you scared of losing it???
I bought a dji mavik pro for my shots but am too scared to fly it in case I can’t get it back ...I’ve lost drones before at 🌊 sea 😭

Very well done, smart sailing. I see so many people sailing with too much sail, as You know , all that you need is enough sail for the conditions. Your boat is under total control and no adverse heel. Looks like a comfortable sail .

Thanks, yes you’re right about sail area. I see it as well. Maybe people think it looks like excessive caution, but it just feels better for me and the boat!
