    Added convincer:
Place duplicate force cards in two other random books at the same page number. Pick books with interesting first words on your chosen matching page number.
Memorize and associate those words with each book.
Display the three books to the spectators and have one freely chosen. Tell them there’s no way you could’ve known in advance what book they would’ve chosen.
Write your prediction using the word you memorized for that particular book and set it in plain view or give it to a spectator to hold.
Proceed with the trick as Spidey explained.

Since you are choosing the card for them and know what it will be, it would be even more effective if, for example it was a 7 or hearts, if you picked the seventh word on the page as the word you wrote down. then when you “find” their card you could say something like “is this your card” and when they say yes, you then say “ok, so let’s count to the seventh word on the page” (which you have already written) - it just adds one more dimension

And I've been a fan of yours for awhile and since I've been watching I think I have internalized a ot of your techniques and while watching your performance I managed to catch the move where you moved the top card back with your thumb, and I noticed the fakeout where you didn't actually drop the card in, but even though I caught those two moves I didn't know why you did them or how they affected the trick specifically so the reveal was still spectacular. I imagine that many other magicians that you perform for have the ability to catch small moves sometimes but because mentalism is such a niche skill and you're so good at it that they are still so impressed ... thanks for this video!

I have an idea of a trick where the secret is that there are a lot of different ways there could be a coincidence. There already is a trick (in multiple variations) that fits the idea, but I'd like more and better in some way such tricks. The existing trick is a small example of one. In it, an audience member guesses one of four options by selecting two so that there are now two and then selecting one of them. In both cases, the magician chooses whether to interpret that as choosing to leave or eliminate them. (I think I'd realise that after enough times, but I can't test that - it's complicated.) In my idea, there can be many ways it can go. For example, the magician can ask to pick the word in one of ways that seem special, combined with a choice of book where they can always find one for which the trick works. (The latter isn't really from this idea, but it's hard to use it alone to create a large one.) A downside of such a trick is that the magician may have a lot to memorise to only use a small but unpredictable fraction of it

Spectacular. Love these videos and I’m so glad you are like Jane and completely aren’t afraid to teach us that mentalism is all smoke and mirrors.

Uff🔥🔥the ending tale to this trick was absolutely fantastic no words. We need more content from you sir🙏.

The video is very good, but the ending made the trick less enjoyable for me. After the prediction I wasn't sure how the trick was done, but as soon as I saw the cards are 256 257 the only possibility was that _none_ of the cards were random / free choice. After the initial "wow" moment, the ending literally removed a lot of the mystery.

Wow! I love the kicker ending with the cards revealing the page number! And the method is absolutely genius! Great video Spidey!

The video is very well done, but personally I think the ending takes away from the magic of the trick. After the prediction I wasn't sure how the trick was done, but as soon as I saw the cards are 256 257 the only possibility was that _none_ of the cards were random / free choice. After the initial "wow" moment, the ending literally removed a lot of the mystery for me.

@@theadamabrams the fact it’s an open prediction effect already makes it clear there’s a force involved. It wouldn’t be possible remotely, but in person this could be elevated to a mind reading routine, revealing much more than a single word. Though at that point you might as well just stick with Hoy and eliminate the cards all together.

First of all, what an amazing trick. This will fool me a thousand times.
Also the preformance of tricks is something I love. It gives us some deeper insight of the trick.
    I got a few questions.
Does it really matter that the second card you put into the book is the chosen card?
And the reveal on the end. That you show the number cards. Do you have any advice how to make it look magical, like in the tutorial, instead of a set-up trick?
Love your work and thanks for this awesome video.
