Some people will "do anything" for a good cause, even if it opens them to criticism. Sting is apparently one of them. We need many, many more .

I take my hat off to Sting , he has a better voice and is a better singer than I would ever have guessed from his pop concerts . I am surprised that his Italian is not perfect , as he has a most beautiful villa in Tuscany where he lives part of the year . I have also heard him sing Noel Coward's " I'll Follow My Sercret Heart " not easy to sing , but he puts it across very well .
Angela, impecabila, a salvat duetul! Sting a ratat ocazia sa arate ca este un profesionist: a fost complet lipsit de muzicalitate, de emotie, de haz, de un minim joc scenic (daca s-ar fi obosit sa afle intelesul cuvintelor pe care s-a chinuit sa le rosteasca, ca de cantat nu a fost vorba!).

I would not only be happy to sing with Angela, I'd be happy to have her on one side and Anna Netrebko on the other, sing with both of them, and then I'd be happy to run off stage into the dark with both of them, too : )
I love Sting, but Angela carried the song, he seemed very nervous. Kudos to him for doing this for the Greatest Tenor to ever live RIP Luciano

Very brave of Sting to do this. He did OK considering he's really outside his genre. I am so infatuated with this woman that I'm sure if I ever stood that close to her I would have multiple bodily function misfires.

Actually it's funny. Every people describe her voice differently. They all agree on "a certain timbre" but the adjectives vary dramatically...
Personally it is the richest and most wide-ranging voice - light and dark, euphoria and desperation, flirtation, burning passion and raw bare feelings in constant and organic flux... A marvellous story teller and a charisma that is second to none...

The same sparkling qualities. The Shine. The broad register. The delicate phrasing. Making every note and line different. The storytelling. And the inherently anguish and heart-felt timbre. It's all here .. and then some..
and he even misses a part of it...

well, in any case, this part is very easy for anyone ton sing. (sorry, don't kill me) but I don't see the need to be a great operatic baritone to sign it.
