Lyrics
You've got to stand up, stay strong start movin' in the right direction
Don't wait, too long, for people promising divine intervention
19 nine three, now I'm taking matters into my own hands
So fast, I can't see
A revolution is the only way that we can change change change
I wanna fight the power
Well it's hard times, white lines, kids of nine gettin' down with gun crime
War zones, no homes, ain't it time we gave the dog a bone
Say brothers, sisters, step up and put yourself in the picture
This time you know a revolution if the only way that we can change change change
I want to fight the power
Question, answer, shake your hand and smile for the camera
But it's no good you should spend time in your neighbourhood
Where black kids, white kids
Now you're working overtime to be a crack kid
No job, no cash, a revolution is the only way that we can change change change
I wanna fight the power
Still we don't seem to understand we need a revolution
Everybody wants a revolution
Who is, this man, I'm having trouble finding out where I'm coming from
Preconceptions, it's eternal human infection one chance,
Learn how you're gonna change the habit of a lifetime my soul, concerned,
That revolution is the only way that we can change change change
I wanna fight the power
Higher, higher, now we're gonna learn to fight the power
Sunshine, new day, I only know how to get the right way
Faster, stronger, I help my brother and my soul lives longer
Blinded, I can't see
That revolution is the only way that we can change change change
I wanna fight the power
No doubt, in time, everything is sweet sunshine
But in the meantime, mankind, is having trouble where to draw the line
We still don't, respect, and yet I thought we had intellect
Sometimes I think the music is the only hope we have for revolution
Still we don't seem to understand we need a revolution
Everybody needs a revolution - Hudba
Still probably the most underrated Jamiroquai track. Still my absolute fav track
Flute solo is unmatched!!!
❤💓🧡🖤💛💚💙💜🤎💝💘💌
Agree love thiz hell i love everything Jay Jays n group makes
Hiz music is the only music that brings me out of my depressive times thanks man truly
Drums wow n trumpets fire
This year 2023 marks the 30th anniversary of this great song, excellent band and say no more 😀👍
"Sometimes I think the music is the only hope we have for revolution" 😍
My favorite sentence on this song too 😎
I can remember being mangled on mushrooms and figuring out the entire universe to this song when I was a teenager.
Still carry that feeling to this day. More refined now, but same spirit.
Funky music on shrooms is awesome indeed
R.I.P. Toby Smith😭😭❤️
That crescendo 7:36 when Jay says c'mon, c'mon, c'mon... Perfect gym jam, my heart explodes 💪🤠
Oh I get that!! And them drums? My soul has exploded
one of the sickest songs on album
One of my favorite Jamiroquai tracks. I always loved the synthesizer solo at 02:45. Too bad that Toby (or even Matt) never played it live. Heck, same with the flute solo, as they always went with a trumpet solo live instead. And the orchestra just pumps me up from 07:03 onwards. Sick!
This song is so good, it doesn't feel like it's 10 minutes long, it could go on for much longer.
@3:30 , the transition is just brilliant into the funky Jamiroquai we know😎😎
3:22
ジャミロクワイらしくないメロディー
だけどここから超好き
ピアノのスピード感がたまらん
Live performance of this song is way much better. Martin Shaw solo-trumpet live is just from another planet...

The concert in Japan is in my opinion one of the best live performances ever.
@@irener.3503 Thank you so much!
Best song on the album.
Also, song gets real at 3:21.
I could listen this bridge all day long !
always loved that part
For me at that point, song actually becomes unreal C:
True , also it is the best part , flute , thrumpet 👍😋😋
One of my favourite moments of all time. It literally made me cry once
My favourite Jamiroquai track!
✔️✔️✔️😉
Every track off this album is Gold!
i never thought that a 10 minute song would be this good
That break!!!!!
Okay 3, 2, 1, lets jam!
Cowboy Bebop
I think it’s time we blow this scene…
Christ, a jamiroquai version of Tank! would be in-fuggin-sane
Вы опередили время лет на 25-30 с этими клмпозициями,респект! Я лично сделала открытие для себя как слушателя! Respect, and enjoy the music!
This sounds like a late 60's to 70's blaxploitation time peace movie soundtrack in a scene where the leader boost the morale of his group.
this is music to my ears.jamiroquai♥️
Pezzo fantastico dei Jamiroquai!!!!! Per me il più bello
Underrated and a very cool song of Jamiroquai 😎👍
This is just masterpiece.
I’d forgotten the title was in Arnold Bocklin font.
I love that font. I many memories. That break at 3:30, so beautiful
This is by far my favourite Jamiroquai song and one of my favourite songs in general

LE meilleur morceau de l’univers
Avec funktion
Just fukkin' amazing, seen him at nymec arena, Manchester, wow.
I BLAST this regularly, especially the instrumental chorus. Luckily I'm in a detached house own land 😂😂😂
Sto pezzo ha quasi 30 anni..sembrano 30 giorni..quando vieni a Napoli, Jay? Manchi da tanto tempo,troppo..
2020 theme
His music is a drug and so beautiful ... I have tears in my eyes 🥲😌
Publicado in my birthday, yeah!
🤩🤩👽
やばい曲。最高です
MVになってるメジャーな曲差し置いてこれが一番ジャミロクワイの中でかっこいいと思う。
ほんとにこの曲お洒落を言語化した曲。
Google translate translated this as “Bad song. It’s the best” lmao

I traded this record from a friend because it had Emergency on Planet Earth on one side, and this one on the other. Didn't knew this one before that. I ended up liking this more :)
Jay kay power 4 ever
3:28 - 4:27, 7:45 - 9:15, is when then, I die !!!
🎶🎶do doo doo,,do doo do 🎶🎶love it
3.29 is the funkiest breakdown ever heard
King For a Day and Revolution 1993 trying to decide whos more underrated of all:
I'd say that Hey Floyd and Dr buzz should also be on the list.

This was a different Jamiroquai on the first two albums...
This song is powerful, inspiring, beautiful. I always get emotional at the first bridge with the flute solo. It sounds like Jay and the guys were giving everything they had, trying to get the message across...
*Please stop destroying this planet.*
It's so moving.
Jay Kay now seems like a totally different person to me, he has no spark in his eyes. So sad.
I own a 12" vinyl of Emergency on Planet Earth and on the back of the cover it shows a weighing scale with the bankers and corporate/political elite on the heavy end of the scale and us everyday people on the other side. Showing the imbalance of power. I'm afraid that Jason Kay has joined their side of the scale.
SINCE SYNKRONIZED JAMIRO IS DEAD, THE LAST ALBUM ITS OK BUT IS NOT GREAT LIKE THEIR EARLY WORK
@@noahmarshal1987 Synkronized was a good album, I think the fact that the roster has changed so much is what caused their decline. The original lineup, Jay Kay, Stu Zender, Toby Smith.
Jamiroquai is a very good band, but so much change of members and taking too much time between albums weakens Jamiroquai's fame and reach, I'm a big fan of them but I'm also a fan of another band that keeps their members intact since ever and they keep more active doing concerts and albums more often and they become more famous and evolved in their sound, Rammstein
And age isn't a factor as both bands have the same age range
You should listen to Dr buzz and Automaton, they very much have strong messages, even if they're a bit less obvious. I think that their songs are getting better, Automaton is my favorite album, followed by RDLS.

Revolution 2021 😑
1993, perro
Jamiroquai need to remake this for next year.
REVOLUTION 2023.
Or is that ivory tower too comfortable?
Bruh nobody wants to hear them rehash old shit. Take those rose tinted glasses off and take a step in the tower
Jason Kay is too comfortable in his ivory tower full of helicopters and sports cars. I love the band but the face of it is a hypocrite.
@@bburner7065I agree
The green pass song.
