Was at a demonstration of "Psychic" spoon bending where the setup was very similar to this. At the end of the Prestige as the Oooos and Awwwws were free flowing, I picked up the other spoons as well as the bent one to make it appear that I was inspecting them for some sort of flim-flam when I handed the bent one back to the psychic I asked him to use his mental powers to straighten the spoon out to as near original condition as he could. He said something about the uneven consistency of the spoon's metal not allowing it to straighten perfectly and he moved on to the next illusion.
Andy Anderson please tell me you really don’t believe in real magic??? It’s called slight of hand for a reason. You posted this as if you were disappointed there wasn’t any REAL MAGIC!! LMFAO

Well, if reading comprehension were a skill you possessed, you would have detected that he was a skeptic, not a believer.
You intentionally spent less time reading and more time trying to formulate your ill gotten attempt to pointlessly and needlessly correct another simply because they said something.
I deal with one of those simple minds similar to yours every day. It seriously drains one's will to tolerate intentional ignorance.
(It's called reading comprehension for a reason)
@Kaizaro123
Well, he essentially asked for it. lol
I simply do not believe in shortening a response for the ease of the reader.
Reading is a skill everyone must posses for the day when our electricity no longer flows.
And when someone refuses to comprehend what was read, it causes me a desire to leave a dissertation in response. lol
ESPECIALLY when a person is trying to bully via a keyboard.
I really like the way, this gentleman explains it. Excellent.
Hi, I seem to be able bend spoons without having to bend them or even touch them, am I doing something wrong?
@@mimo1983 how you beat me by 17 minutes I do not know, glitch in the Matrix? deja vu?
My dad used to do tricks like this all the time except instead of using a pen he drank heavily and hit my mum.
Thank you for the explanation. Although now I am a bit bummed. I sorta thought there would be a bit more to it than that.
This is just one technique. There are many more. For example you can candidly switch the real spoon for a trick spoon from magic shop.
Most of magic performance has more than 1 technique for their magic tricks. But often the magician only reveal the simplest one.
_"I am a bit bummed"_ is not something you want to say if you're in many parts of the U.K.
Paul weatherbee,
thanks for posting. this is awesome.
Joe rogan brought me here
yeah he must be using different techniques as well. what awas that shit when Joe was bending it and it was all maleable? But this satisfied me enough to realize it's all just con tricks
It's cool but like, if the only reason they think it's cool is because people don't know how they did it then it's kinda dumb eh
Here comes forth! The SPOONBENDER! [epic music]
This guy seems so chill
The real magic here is the mouth-made sound effects 1:44
Paul has great facial expressions, an engaging face is a great distraction.
Thank for letting us know, and I wish you all success and good life.
Illusions, Michael.
Can't wait to see your video.
I just keep picturing that little kid bending it in circles and Neo's face,(he was probably thinking, I knew magic was real) basically told him what they say in Interstellar or in Star Trek "It never occurred to me that space was the thing that was movin"!
In other words, you don't bent the spoon, you bend space!
It's kind of easy to do the trick when the camera is aimed too high to see your hands while you're bending the spoon.
Good job, really thankfull!
Between the Mullet and the Shiny Jacket I would say that is enough of a distraction. My wife and I was laughing through the whole video until you bent the damn spoon with your mind. GOD DAMN YOUR GOOD BUDDY!
thanks for the clip! Well done!! :)
I think there must be more than one way of doing this metal bending trick though, because that doesn't quite look like the way Geller used to do it. I mean, I am sure they're ALL tricks anyway, including when Geller does it, so don't take me the wrong way here but I am also sure his technique was different.
For a start, I suspect Geller used pre-prepared spoons and forks that he already weakened, rather than doing it at the time of the act, plus I think he had a few plants in on the act who pretended to be "randomly picked from an audience".
Which is probably why he bombed out on the Johnny Carson show where he was forced to use things he had no prior access to and he had nobody else in his team on there that night because he wasn't expecting to be asked to do anything, he was fooled into believing he was on that show just to answer questions, which Geller did say to Carson, to which Carson replied "oh I can ask you all kinds of questions" and the audience just laughed at Geller all the more 🤣
Can’t believe dragon maid brought me here🤣 9 years later😆😆😆🤣
I used to bend spoons all the time when I was shooting dope.
0:51 Nothing to see.
oh so excellent!!! I can try it !!!!!
Very cool. Thank you!
Who's watching this in 2020 while in quarantine lockdown?
Anybody else immediately understood what to do when they saw the spoon at the start because the way he held it made it so obvious that it was bent
Thank you!
Thank you,
Thank a million, teacher
Thank you
this guy is great
That's actually pretty good
awesome!
Awesome thanks
thanks
Omigawd! He's got magic powers like Uri Geller!!
I like his jacket. I wonder where I can get one like it.
Can you bend forks too? If so I've got one in my garden.
Awesome.
Uri Gellar uses spoons made of nitinol!!! memory metal that is formed bent and then straightened... it can then be returned to its bent state using heat... hence uri rubbing them with his fingers!!
And became rich with also tv shows all over the world. People are sheeps. Thata why the world is going from bad to worst. Everywhere magicians and sheeps.
to do it in real concentrate your frequency to the ones of spoon feel the energy. and most imp keep your mind calm
wow it's amazing, how did you do that mr. Paul Whetherbee?
Spoons are made of galeuim a metal that softens in body heat
i love it
Ive seen someone bend a spoon wiggling it lnfront of my eyes. I dont know know how they did it, but it did bend where there fingers were so i know they physically bent it somehow. With just 3 fingers though.. was an amazing trick
hello great magecian are you like your own magic?
As with most magic tricks, the big reveal always seems so lame and disappointing. But I guess making it look good is what the art of magic is all about.
please, teach me how to do appear the flower from the hand
Oooo this is good.
If a person could do this with "psychic" powers you would think they would spend their time in a casino at the roulette table instead of bending spoons
Probably too much “negative” or (insert almost any word) energy there for their ability to work. 🤣
How do you make it bend before the audience's eyes? Without bending it beforehand? Because *this* is what's being done on shows.
pls teach us how you do the coin in the glass at 0:01
So I've seen less obvious spoon bending routines such as Gallerian. Are they any good because they are not cheap.
Wow... and I thought it was just the old spoon made out of gallium trick.
Its nitinol also know as memory metal search it on youtube it pretty cool stuff and really fun to play with
But if someone is close enough, on the sides seeing the performer almost in profile, wouldn't they see that the spoon is already bent?
Best Trick!
@Quartrez Lol yeah like the flying card!!!
Ben put that comment before me! Wow, mind reader!
Cool. Not how Uri Geller does it, but very interesting.
ROCK ON!! DUDE
how did they break it into two pieces?
how do you explain Criss Angel's methods? he makes it come off and all that while it is still normal with out bending.
wow!
wooooo you are a good magician wow
I wanna learn the tricks in the intro
at the end i thought he was gonna say "And that's the introduction to spooning" lol
this spoon made from gallium metal, melting point 29.76 C.
@nkBuddy321 its an invisible thread at the middle at the card. and then he got the end of the thread in the mouth our something like that, and just spin it and moves his head&body.
what i think is that when he has it in his hand before he shakes it he lightly bends it and then he turns it so you can see the bend
Nice bro
rock on!
clever
ROCK ON!!! :D
Man, john wick really let himself go
love u sir
how did he do that?
I actually noticed you bending the spoon the first time before you went through the explanation
are you the masked magician in the tv show " breaking the magicians code"?
Who else just came from An Honest Liar?
I was irritated that they wouldn't just reveal how the trick was done. Great documentary. It really irritated me that they wouldn't just tell the audience how the trick was done.
+Spades Spades Good magicians don't reveal how it's done. I personally would rather not know as it ruins it, but this video popped up in my suggested and I couldn't resist.
@@spadesspades1580 It seems The Honest Liar made you do exactly what it wanted you to do...
To be skeptical and seek out the answer. And here you are, finding it.
@@spadesspades1580 even he told the audience how to do it, still don't change fact people will believe anything they want to believe, like the priest who was caught lying showing how he did it simply went back to doing it again and no one cared.
Dude, you're not suppose to give away secrets of these supernatural powers like this. ;)
The Last Spoon Bender
Now I know how to use Gboard!
those trick doesnt work in me its sad
im not giving a thumbs up because i believe in magic im giving a thumbs up because i like how well he tricked me

weatherbe: the last spoon bender.
@WildOnesH4ck i shall tell ya i believe in both.
@nkBuddy321 Thin kevlar tread!
@nkBuddy321 He uses invisible thread and magicians wax.
Awww...I actually wanted to believe that magic was real...So that's how it's done...
The avatar hasn't mastered THIS element yet
That's great but I wonder how one magician was able to break a spoon in half by rubbing it between two fingers.
I accidentally do this trick every time I use a spoon to scoop ice cream out of the container.
especially the cheap piece of shit Ikea ones, what do they do make those at the same thickness as the pop cand mold? \
Did this trick last week too.
wow, you must really want that ice cream. You need a bigger spoon. Or shovel. Now that's a trick even uri geller hasn't tried, shovel bending. Go for it Ace.
Bruh
No that is a cheap spoon
