How To Write Engaging Nonfiction Books With WRITE USEFUL BOOKS By Rob Fitzpatrick - Book Summary #31

- Most nonfiction books either fail to attract an audience or achieve only short-term success. The few that manage to generate a high volume of sales often do so through expensive marketing campaigns, temporary media buzz, or author popularity. As a result, it’s rare for new authors to break through and create a lasting impact.
Write Useful Books by Rob Fitzpatrick provides an alternative path. It explains how to plan, write, test, and refine engaging nonfiction books using proven strategies from the world of entrepreneurship. The approach can help a new author create a truly useful book that automatically attracts new readers through word-of-mouth referrals.
Let’s explore three of my favorite insights from the book.

Hey everyone 🙋♂️. I'm Rob, the author of this book. Rick pretty much nailed it (thanks!), but let me know if you have any extra thoughts/questions/whatevers and I'll do my best to answer :).
Thank you for writing the book, and for offering to answer viewer questions!
Rob, your new book has also inspired me to begin laying out a book idea that will take me some time to eventually piece together. However, I am pretty excited to get started! My question is.... Before writing a full book, my plan is to first write a series of short articles to gather feedback and refine my idea based on a future book concept. Do you think your book could be used to lay out a path and narrow down content ideas and audience outside of writing a book. To put that more concisely, can this book be used to help blog writers narrow down an audience and construct a plan for writing more short form content?
Again, I am very excited to read this book and I love the concept. This is a much needed read I feel for many content creators.
Thanks for being so accommodating for our questions!
@robfitzpatrick Keen to read your book and hopefully hire someone like you to write my book. If you are interested we can connect
'building a story brand' is a perfect example of a 'DEEP' book
Yeah, as is Marketing Made Simple by the same author, Donald Miller.
@@RickKettner I'll take a look next month or so but this one, thanks to you, is also in my list...glad for the additional insight.
Thank You, Rick! Got this video at the right time. I'm on the journey of writing my first draft.
Nice timing :)
Thanks for this review! This is a subject I have been thinking about for some time now. These tips all seem like I can apply my own idea towards, will dig into the rest of the book shortly and have a go at this process.
It's a great book and a must-read for aspiring authors :).
Thank you!
Very useful video! Heard about this book and was curious to learn more about it myself. Your overview provides a great synopsis, and is already starting to get the gears turning as I prep to write my next Kickstarter book :)
Nice, it’s a great read! In fact, I should probably read it again this year as it’s been a while.
Thank you
thank you
Useful!!
Good stuff man! Another idea for a video would be books on boosting creativity, especially in business and marketing. Im sure most people including me would appreciate that
Sounds interesting, thank you for the suggestion!

Perenial seller
I've done a summary on Perennial Seller here on YT. Great read!
The more unique the message in your book the more unique your audience. The more your book is useful to them because there is no other book that solves their problem. Their unique problem. These 3 tips I was instinctually employing. Perhaps I am just lucky my message and solved problem are unique. But now I will activly incorporate this into marketing. The promise to solve the problem is number one. is it?
On write well

Hi Rick. How does this book help people in business?
Writing a book is a great way to spread an idea, initiate a movement, or even promote a business more directly. Many entrepreneurs become authors for these kinds of reasons. In fact, I plan to write a book based on the information and advice contained in this guide :).
@@RickKettner I never thought of it like that. I look forward to your book and when will it be published?
@@katlehosuping5663 - I'm still very early in the process, so it's difficult to say. Perhaps in 12-18 months? That said, I will be looking for early beta readers much sooner. Probably within 2-3 months.
