Couldn't believe youngsters like him giving importance to engine smoothness in a few gears over safety of their life & their dear family member. Such a mentality always keeps Suzuki cars as a top seller in India. Anyway, it is tough for them to understand safety when they think about resale value & few electronic features.
Some believe safety depends upon driver skills but there are a lot of external factors which are not only in driver control. Seriously? Do you think everything is in driver control??.

Administrative controls la you have awareness how to, when to, why to use two wheelers. Last is the personal protective equipment that includes Helmets, teavel gears etc.

I bought tiago. I do frequent travelling in highway and cruise at 100 to 110 kmph with family and kid. Yes sound varum ulla. Since am first time buyer i researched lot and I tried Swift, Magnite and Kiwd also. Tiago felt better value for money at 6.25L. Stability at even 130kmph is very good due to kerb weight of 1ton.
With respect to accidents, even if you are better driver accidents do happen. Even though NCAP happens at controlled env at 64KMPH and front impact, Instead of having 0 rating, having atleast some decent safety is better and preferred in highways.
Better Govt should make it must for all cars come with 4 cylinder engine and 6 air bags and safety features. May be charge more but thats acceptable.

Very honest review, exactly Maruti Suzuki is taking advantage of selling and deteriorating the built quality day by day. In fact Maruti Suzuki has very good brand reputation and it should focus to improve quality and safety standards to keep their reputation, rather concerned about only profit margin.
I had kuv100, I took test drive of all new Swift, sadly didn't feel it as sturdy and strong as kuv100, very light weight build, especially the floor, when you keep your legs on the floor, you can feel like stepping on a tin sheet. Don't know why this car is so favorite for Indians. Also the top end swift is about 9 lakhs. As in other comments, even though you are F1 or rally level expert driver, mishaps happen due to external mistakes, so safety is very much important. All Maruthi car buyers, should take additional health insurance with car insurance. No offense, this is the truth.

இன்னமும் பாதுகாப்பான காராக இந்த ஸ்விப்ட் மாற வேண்டும் என்பது உண்மை தான். இதன் பிளாஸ்டிக் / மெட்டல் குவாலிட்டி ரொம்ப கம்மி தான். இன்டீரியர் வாங்கும் போது இருக்கும் பீல் இப்போ இல்லை. ஏன் நா பிளாஸ்டிக் குவாலிட்டி. பாட்டில் ஹோல்டர் ரொம்ப சின்னது. ஸ்டோரேஜ் கு கம்மி இடம் தான். பின் பக்க சீட்டிங் லெக் ரூம் கம்மி. நிறைய விஷயத்துல கோவம் தான் வரும் இவ்ளோ விலை கொடுத்ததும் நல்ல features இல்லையே னு. இவ்ளோ பிரச்சனை இருந்தும் இந்த காரை 8 வருஷமா ஓட்றதுக்கு காரணம். பிக்கப் தான். லாங் டிரைவ் ல கொஞ்சம் கூட lag ஆகாம ஓட்டலாம். டிரைவர் சீட் ல உக்காந்தா , இருக்கறதுலயே பெஸ்ட் கார். பின் சீட் ல உக்காந்து போறவங்க கொஞ்சம் கஷ்ட பட்டு தான் ஆகணும். நான் அடுத்த கார் வாங்கறதுக்குள்ள மாருதி இன்னும் பாதுகாப்பான நல்ல அம்சங்களுடன் கூடிய ஒரு காரை அறிமுகப்படுத்தி விடுவார்கள் என்று நம்புகிறேன்.
I own ecosport 3 cylinder engine. Slight vibration only when we start the engine and then its very smooth. Especially when the engine idle after highway trip you may not notice whether engine is on of off condition.

Tata cars like Indica are still running smooth, I have asked this from many taxi drivers, who use their cars 4 times more than any other person. They say one thing only, maintain the engine, it will run like new.

I am sorry but I don’t know why ppl keep making the same mistake of falling for tin can cars like swift. It’s basically wasting your hard earned money. Safety has to be the number one priority. Granted we can’t do nothing about certain accidents and it’s impact but why put yourself in danger line buying these cars? Altroz would have been better. For this money he could have also bought polo comfortline which has excellent build quality.
Polo can be good option but Tata has not refined their engine yet.. like Maruti need to give safety rating..

I am planning to buy my first car but am confused about choosing this Honda City 5G , Honda Amaze , verna ( but it has cruise control only in the top end ). Tata tigor is also in my mind, but I am not sure about the comfort. I know it's good in safety and maintenance, but I always hear that honda with petrol will be top notch, but I am afraid about the maintenance and service cost

Also, Gov is planning to introduce the E20 project, which is nothing but mixing 20% ethanol in petrol. If that happens, petrol prices will reduce, and the price will be 70 Rs 😀 . I hope that above cars will support E20 pgm, right ?

verna - good engine, sporty interior and exterior, space is bit less in rear seat
amaze - comfort, space, but petrol engine power is less
mileage - in city 9 to 13 highway 17 to 20
