Video idea: randomly generate a number between 1 and however many pokemon there are in the game and whatever number you get is Pokémon’s Pokédex number and randomize until you get a team of 6

An idea to do, is use a random number generator for the national dex. You can choose to use that Pokémon, use its baby stage or final evolution

You guys should do a randomized in game trade only, so basically you give the trainers the Pokemon they want and you have to use what they trade you no matter what it is and can't evolve them either
You put all typings in a hat and you each draw 6 typings and build a team with one Pokémon per typing that you drew. The type you drew can either be primary or secondary

You should do it with starters again but take turns so for example if Dylan picks the water type replacement Luke would have to pick whatever replaces the grass type. Like proper rival battles

As an idea of something to do, for 2 or more people: Divide up the original 150 (not mew sorry Luke) into 25 different teams you would want to have. Then have your opponent rank the teams on best to worst in their opinion. Then battle, picking 1 of your top 5 teams against an opponents top 5, their choice which team they bring into battle. Then battle using 1 of the “good teams” (rank 6-10), and so on. You could also do a nuzlocke variation of these rules.

Go into randomized files of pokemon sword/shield and do a typelocke.
Start with spinning a wheel to get 1 pokemon typing, then you catch a pokemon with the same type as the one you got from the wheel, then you catch a pokemon that at least one type in common as the pokemon you just caught, and so on untill you have a full team

do this again - but choose each other's teams :D that way youre both using terrible pokemon. thats more entertaining to me than seeing the same megas and legends used all the time. but regardless, i love the strats yall come up with!
