kpop band members are so talented, I'm lucky I get to go a ATEEZ concert. But it's nice to see reactions to other bands, especially rock bands like N Flying. I recommend you check out one of Korea's most famous rock band YB (Yoon Do-hyun), he is also on Killing Voice. My favorite youtube channel is ODG and they have a series called Noraeband where singers (including Yoon Do-hyun) meet in a karaoke studio, have conversations with young people then sing one of their songs: czcams.com/video/iEQ-akVZonc/video.html

@@Killdeer25 My 24 year old daughter is taking me to my first concert, she said I had to experience it at least once. I got my fangirl shirt and she's going to share her offical ATEEZ light. If YB ever came to the states I'd find a way to get there.

I am an Exo fan. This is my first time hearing Hwe Seung. He has a gorgeous voice. Going to check out more from him.

1. when chen asked "are you the main vocalist of your group?" i totally get why he asked that awkward question because exo has 3 main vocalists and great lead vocalists too even the main rapper sings so good. chen asked that out of genuine curiosity.
2. when hweseung asked "do you dance?" and chen said yes, he was like ??? i totally get it too like what dance group vocalist could sing this good.
3. hope they can collab in the future their voices blend so well.
4. i love this 1st episode. this totally set the benchmark.

Sounds like "Hway-sung" or "Hweh-sung". N. Flying is a great k-band. He sings in tandem with Seunghyub who is also their rapper. Hwesung is most famous in Korea though for being the super rookie a few years ago on "Immortal Songs", a show where singers from across the spectrum in Korea cover other artists' songs. He's a truly great singer in his own right. He did a phenomenal cover of Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody that basically earned him a Queen musical.

I love watching these two together, yeah he very much was not trying to hog the spotlight, which he very easily could
When i watched the video and chen after finishing the song told him that i could feel your consideration, the support for other singer and the way he asked you seem to be experienced in duets. I remembered one vocal analyst. He said that chen has good ears. He can judge the notes and sounds. He was watching one video where Exo members had to hit their highest notes and chen could tell it perfectly. It was when they were almost rookie. Its mind blowing.
Chen I think I was told has perfect pitch? I am not sure if thats true but he has at least super good understanding and so does Hwe Seung honestly. I think they have enough knowledge to adjust when needed and thats what made this so cool! I need more!

Instead of dance challenge i prefer this kind of Sing challenge like this..
But i bet maybe other will really think it many2 times to join this secret duet challenge coz it will be really challenging, either you failed, or you did it but lack of chemistry coz they didn't rehearse with each other before.
Yeah there is a lot of different reasons foe sure, I think that there are so many competent singers in kpop most should be able to manage a secret duet
@@Killdeer25 yup korean has a lot of amazing singer for sure.. after i dive deeper to korean musics.. i leave my country and western songs without realizing it. My playlist is now full of korean song (mostly EXO and then AKMU, IU, CNBLUE, and some soloist / OST).

One does wonder how someone does not recognise Chen, I also feel though Hwe Seung is also very much admired for his high notes and so is quite recognisable too, was wondering was it anything to do with them singing in English, yes they always slip a few words in but to their ears did it make it a tad bit more difficult, anyway just a thought. Does this make you feel that maybe you have been sleeping on N Flying hahaha???. Was trying to think if they could even have a second episode of this, as when you have peaked with the creme de la creme in the first one but am here for it!!

@@Killdeer25 Oh my golly don't get me started. Three of their members are in the military right now so it's just the two front singers and they just released a song called Star. Flashback live is my go to. Everything live with this group though is great. They are hugely popular in Japan and do a lot of anime covers. One called Gurenge I am obsessed with (let it be known I know nothing about anime.). Rooftop, is another, I adore Moonshot. Trying to remember did you check out the track Hwe Seung did with Hong Ki called Still Love You, people go bonkers for his high note in that. I did think you did that. They are FT Island's hoobae's (younger brothers in the agency) and there is a live that Hwe Seung did with them called Future that is just great.

@Killdeer25 I have seen all the Ft Island videos you have done but just had a quick thought you had done Still Love You as everybody recommends it as both such good singers even though I prefer their Future duet live. For example Hong Ki could not do Secret Duet as his voice is Sooo recognisable

Oh, I'm so glad you did this, it was amazing! I also hope Secret Duet becomes the new Killing Voice or Lee Mujin's Service. I absolutely loved watching these two singing so beautifully without even knowing who they are singing with. Like you said, it shows what total pros they are at working with other singers to be able to adapt that skill to blindly sing with no cues from the other partner.
Speaking of cool collabs, I know you're done recording for EXO week and won't get to EXO for a bit but I just saw Kyungsoo's feature on Lee Young-ji's new song and it is so lovely. She is actually a rapper (a really good one) but she wrote this sweet and relatable love song about worrying that you're not good enough for your partner and the adorable video just fits Kyungsoo's own mv style perfectly. She's super talented and I'm so happy to see Kyungsoo supporting her. It made my day. The song is called Small Girl.

I was thinking the same thing about how he didn't recognize Chen's voice. But maybe he did and just wasn't sure and didn't want to possibly be wrong. I know Chen's voice because I listen to it nearly every day, but not everyone is as does.😂 Even with Chen being a major vocal player in the industry. And Hwe Seung has such a lovely voice himself. I love their chemistry. I hope this broke the ice towards doing another duet sometime soon. ... Thanks for the reaction!

I can understand don't recognize his speaking distorted voice... but his singing voice?!?!? It's so unique that is quite impossible. Hwe Seung could also have been nervous... I would probably be so nervous for the mysterious situation to not be able to remember my own name, so well... everything is possible. But you're right. How is possible!? LOL
I think this will be forever a mystery to me! it's so obvious!
