- The MK4/Gold version of Goro is the cheapest boss in MK1-MK4. "Homing" teleport stomp move, 100% damage from 3 moves etc.... As with the other home versions of MK4 you can actually select him.
As a kid, I kept thinking that Rayden was saying "YOU HURT MY NARDS!..." around 3:31.
A friend of mine from elementary school always thought the same thing.
This is probably my favorite depiction of Goro in the entire series design-wise. Very cleanly designed with a nice defined silhouette, a simple-yet-effective costume and color palate and a nice shapely man-ass. All the things that make Goro Goro. Deception and Armageddon are even better, being HD recreations of this more or less with added elements from MK1, Mk9 came close to getting it right other than his skin being too light, but MKX just makes him look like some washed out ex-bodybuilder fresh off the set of Mad Max.

I agree. The design here is my favorite. It looks clean, and it scared me everytime I had to face him as a kid

In MK Gold, Soul Chamber, Kombat Temple, Scorpion's Lair, and Goro's Lair have same stage fatality, where the opponent is uppercutted to the ceiling of spikes.

Goro is the beastly warrior we love and admire! I wish I had four arms and stomp ability. His strength is off the charts! I like that out world warriors can come and go as they please. Even Shao Kahn can enter Earth, without losing his power. He and Goro are my favorites.
So, by the looks of it, Goro is technically considered one of the good guys?... At least, that's the conclusion I came to after watching his ending.
He defeats Shinnok & after that, buries the hatchet with both King Lao & Kitana?...

Not quite. Goro's attitude has slightly mellowed over the years and he's not the outright savage he was made out in MK1. Goro is now portrayed with a little more sense of honour as he is a Shokan prince. Although he's not concerned with Earth and focuses on protecting his people in Outworld, Goro respects strong, honourable fighters from any realm. But he still served Shao Kahn willingly and is a very brutal fighter who slaughtered mercilessly during Kahn's invasions. MKX still classifies him as Evil. In this case, Kung Lao may consider the debt discharged, and Goro will honour it, but the next time they meet all bets are off and Goro would do everything to kill him in kombat.
In short, Goro has grudging respect if you can stand up to him, but he'll still massacre you.
Also, mk seemed to cut corners with the endings by changing small pieces and calling it a new ending. (I.e. jax, sonya, jarek)
Well during this timeline Shao Kahn was defeated and Goro was out of the scene for awhile after MK1. He finally reappeared here in MK4 just to get another opportunity to fight Liu Kang which never happens. He forms an alliance with Kitana and is supposedly killed during MK5 by the Deadly Alliance forces but fakes his death. He would later return and get smacked up by Noob Saibot in MK 6. Shao Kahn saves him from death and he serves him again.
@@the_lonely_winner2956 strange that in MK2 it tells that Goro was killed in the first tournament but somehow comes back maybe he faked his death there again because dead people in Mortal Kombat are somehow becoming alive again.

It always occurred to me that Goro is a lot shorter than his actual height. Isn't he supposed to be over 8 feet tall? Maybe they scaled him according to the size of the others. I would say he is 7 feet. Shao Kahn is 6 and a half.
Exactly, I don't know his original height but apperently it's over 8 feet. All the other characters have the same size, except for Sonya and Tanya, they seem to be a lil shorter.

For me, Goro is the true boss in MK 4. Look at Shinnok, he can't even use super moves.
