great job! so many just throw away these items and then wonder why they have problems later on. I worked 12 years as a BMW tech at a dealership and was constantly installing the small clips and connectors when i did a service.
I found similar plastic inserts from Ace hardware for cheap , seem to hold fine . I will definitely start using anti seize in the threaded holes . THANK U !
Great job. That is a brutal skid plate to put on while underneath the vehicle. You positioned in the front and then bolted the rear bolts on. I am going to try it that way. It might be a little easier to do it that way
I love watching and learning from all your videos. If I may offer a tip, please do more videos on Camrys and Corollas since they're the most popular and most sold Toyotas on the market. It will probably get you more channel views and subscribers. Thanks.
Looking for the part number of the three other screws/retainers. Have part #s for Splash Shield 51410-0C010 and Radiator Support Splash Shield Bolt 90119-A0169. The other three are the mystery. I cannot find them on the parts diagrams. Anyone know? Thanks
I confirmed that the part numbers are: Retainer Clips 52116-0C090 - Screws 90159-60440. I bought three of each for my 2010 Toyota Sequoia and they work perfectly.
After 60k miles and having other people do oil changes they have lost, stripped, rounded off all the hardware. That setup is a PITA. Trying to source all the correct parts is proving difficult.
I have a 2015 sequoia. That skid plate is a pain in the a**. First lining up the hooks, then trying to line up the recessed bolts, oy vey, The engineers who designed it should have been required to lay on their backs and take the skid plate on and off 10 times.
This skid plate design/manufacture should be an embarrassment to Toyota. It is cheaply built, and its installation is not simple. What makes it even worse is it has to be removed in order to replace oil filter. Toyota dropped the ball on this one.
When you buy parts such as the little plastic retainers, please give us a part number to make it easier to order! Thank you for doing these videos.
I always have a hell of a time replacing that damn skid plate.

My Sequoia came with a skid plate. It's massive. I bought my Sequoia used (2013) but it will definitely be handy I am sure. Great video!

can you please give me the part number for the 3 plastic retainers that go on the front?

I'm not 100% sure, but I think the part number for the three clips/retainers is 521160C090 described as "Splash. Shield. Clip. (Front)"

Does anyone know the exact screws needed to connect bumper to the skid plate? For a 2014 tundra
Your Dealer knows, it is one phone call away .......
Can you do one on the Toyota Sequoia
anyone have the sizes of the metric bolts and screws up front?
😮
Should have just bought an aftermarket RCI skid for 300.00 much better protection and has a window for the filter.
I called RCI they only make one for the Toyota Tundra 4x4
It will fit 2wd also I own an 08 2wd and a 19 4wd both use the same skid plates.
@@cparkerz2968 ok thx for the info 👍

If you add what size the bolts are this would make the video worth something.
lol that's why I came here! 🤷♂️
Me too darn dealer left mine off today 🤬
Yup....I need a complete new set myself.
Cut a 5 or so inch hole in the plate once and never remove it again at least for oil changes.
You can also make a small removeable cover for the hole if you like.
