  • Cliffe Knechtle has a great conversation with college students at a campus in the southwest US.
The "Give Me An Answer" ministry began as an outgrowth of the dialogues Cliffe Knechtle has had with students on various university campuses throughout the United States. These universities include the University of Maine, Harvard, MIT, University of Florida, University of Texas, University of Wisconsin, University of Minnesota, University of California Los Angeles, University of California San Diego, Berkeley, Stanford, University of Hawaii and the University of Washington. Cliffe spoke on these campuses in front of the Student Union or Library at noon for five to ten minutes. At the close of his initial remarks, he'd open up the time for questions and answers, which usually turned into a two to four hour dialogue with students. His crowd size ranged from 25 - 500 students at a time, and between classes, new students would join the discussion. This was an extremely effective way to reach a large number of university students with the Gospel of Christ.

This talk was interesting in a sense that Cliff exposed the dis-ingenuity of the person claiming he is merely expressing his own belief, when in fact the person has a very strong agenda of his own world view (and saying Cliff's faith is wrong). "You are not here to just enjoy the beautiful sunshine". This is the spiritual aspect of a debate Cliff well tackled on.

It's actually both. The law of God is written on every man's heart, so we are born with a sense that there is right and wrong.
At that same time, we have to be taught the particulars of how it is to be expressed. Just like some musicians are born with great talent but they still have to practice and study with the help of a teacher to bring that talent out in full.

The supposed atheist says: "Everything is subjective."
Fine, except that the above statement is an *OBJECTIVE* statement (untrue, but objective nonetheless),
and is therefore self-defeating and clearly false.
    Cliffe: "You disagree with me."
Kid: "No, I don't disagree with you."
Then you do disagree with him! LOL
Then that little clown has the nerve to claim that logic is wasted on Cliffe?!? Wow.

Kid says "Morality isn't something you get from a book, or... like... from other people."
Then he needs to shut his mouth on the subject and stop trying to push his incorrect morality
on Cliffe and everyone else who hears his silly lies -- unless he thinks he's not another person! LOL
He then has the nerve to say: "...the moment that you externalize to someone else and you try to project your faith onto someone else, is when everything goes wrong."
The problem is that he is attempting to externalize to, and to project his faith onto someone else
(onto Cliffe). The believer in atheist Dogma is such a convoluted and ignorant hypocrite,
it is an amazing thing to behold.

There is a serious disconnect here between the guy in the black and Cliffe, Cliffe misunderstands what he's saying about everything being subjective.. the guy does not mean that everything is acceptable, clearly, there are guidelines in life, but how we view those guidelines are not clear and well defined... we all see things thru our own personal lens, and make decisions based on how we view things . . . .subjectively. Good discussion.

Selja Zhang Well, you made the claim that Jesus did mention homosexuality in the bible, I'm just asking for clarification as to where he says it in the bible? You seem to be moving the goalposts now. If you're now saying God said it, and because Jesus is God that means Jesus said it, you're kind of shifting things around it seems to me. Most people would claim that Jesus is the son of God.

Historical error on Cliffe's part; the Greeks and Romans did not celebrate homosexual practices as acceptable behavior in their cultures. The Greeks had quite harsh punishments for men caught with other men / boys, and Romans also punished and admonished men and women for same sex relations. The lies of post-modernist activist historians of the 1960's subverted our views of the ancient world and tricked generations into thinking that homosexuality has been tolerated throughout history. It has not. It has always been an abnormality.

cliffe has said before that you’d have to be a lunatic to believe in Christ because the “bible is the word of god”. He said it would be blind faith. But then here he justifies his argument against homosexuality by saying Jesus followed the Torah as the word of god. So was Jesus a lunatic? God did not literally write that bible. People wrote it. And Jesus broke the rules of the sabbath, so he did not follow the Torah like a Jew should, hence his punishment of death on the cross and the break away to a new religion of Christianity. There is no moral argument that you can make that homosexuality is wrong, if they are in a long term monogamous relationship. The real sin is in those who believe homosexuality is solely about lust and promiscuity. It is not. It is quite possible to fall in love and be in a monogamous relationship. To put homosexuality in the same box as murder or adultery is false and hateful. It is those people that will face hell on their day of judgement.
