In fact, a good handful of characters that were in the game that had made some appearance in the first movie were either cast aside as minor characters or just completely missing altogether in favor of the newer characters.

I liked the first movie, this movie didn't need to exist and was written so sloppily. The bathroom scene did get me to laugh.
The second one did become the first movie to receive a highest positive for video game movies review by Rotten Tomatoes. 73%

Fun Fact: This movie had a tough production. The rigs and lava/ice effects were challenging while most of Sony’s best animators were busy on Spider-Verse, and on top of it all, Sony execs moved the movie up by a couple months.
How pissed would you be getting switched from Spider-Verse to Angry Birds 2.

@@Toybox_blue in the part where they’re sneaking to get the keycard, and that guy was in the bathroom so the crew went there, then Leonard told Chuck to “pretend to pee pee” and Chuck uses water to make it look like that costume they’re in is peeing (and Chuck occasionally just swerves it around).
The fact that they had the technology to make a satellite and launch it to space but they had no idea another island exists..
Then it clearly wasn’t made by any of the three races.

I actually worked on this. At the same time, one of my friends was working on Sonic. We had a bet which one of us was on the worse movie. The higher Rotten Tomatoes score buys the lower one dinner. Can't believe I lost.

@@nonamepasserbya6658 Funnily enough, what ended up in the movie actually WAS the first design, internally. Then the director, Sega, and Paramount spent months arguing over the design and turned it into the Frankenstein's monster of all their bad ideas that we all saw

I love the first angry birds movie, it is so different from other video game movies because it’s not CGI characters meeting humans or something. I was so excited to see this movie for my birthday but was upset when it didn’t even fit with what angry birds is! They fall in love for cryin out loud!

The funniest part of the video is Jeremys gradual decline in his metal state, so near the end he just loses it

1. Earth from space is completely filled with ocean because for now they only discovered three islands
2. If the eagles had lava and technology to put it in ice, why didn't they just use the lava to unfreeze the islands?!

So, they talked about how the inflated bird floated to Saturn and popped on that satellite, but my question is, Why was there a satellite, the birds sure as hell didn't build it, the pigs might have, or the Eagles, but I doubt it, so do humans exist on this earth, if they do, how have they missed the three islands that were practically at war for a while
It drives me insane how many people dismiss these movies because of their association with a mobile game. They’re REALLY not that bad. They’re obviously not supposed to be deep, they’re just supposed to be funny, and I think they succeed at that. The second movie in particular has some of the BEST slapstick cartoon violence I’ve seen in cgi.
Based on visuals and writing alone, you can tell that these movies are not half-assed. You can tell that there was someone who cared to make a good kids movie that both kids and adults could enjoy together.
I see a lot of people saying these are the worst movies ever made, and I’m willing to take the leap to say that that is factually untrue. I expected to hate them. I went in already hating it, but by the time it was over my mind had been changed.
I enjoyed them more than the entire Ice Age saga (which isn’t saying a lot I guess), and in my opinion, they’re way more original and funny when compared to the Sonic movie.
