I think they both did an excellent job although I lean more towards Chris because of nostalia...but my complaint would be with who ever audio engineered the vocals. It's decent enough but if you have good studio monitors and an ear listen to the original mixing of the vocals in the original arcade KI versus this Xbox remake. The older version used much, much heavier compression so it's more in your face, the siblance frequency range ewas boosted so the T's and S's were more pronounced, and it seemed to have a boost in the mids so you can hear more of the M's, B's and P's. Most people wouldn't notice but for an audio guy like me and a huge KI fan I would've tweaked it more like the original :)

As an older gamer who remembers those sweet sounds from the KI arcade machine, Chris just bashes on the nostalgia button. I'm glad they gave us a choice though.
I love Chris simply because it has this refined tone to it, so I use it for characters like Jago. Mike's I enjoy using with characters like Sabrewulf, cuz it feels more demented.
When I max out my 401K every year, I like to listen to this.
Chris use to sound dark and creepy back then which fits KI style back in the day but in here he sounds less enthusiastic compare to mike

1st combo. Chris - Love both, but Chris sounds more old-school KI.
2nd. Chris - Again, old school. Plus it sounded like a declaration of your awesomeness.

Mister Multiplayer the original arcade is What he was going for. There was a limitation on size of sound bite in snes so they compensated due to reduction of quality

Mike. Chris just doesn't sound the same in this one. I still think Chris does "c-c-c-c-combo breaker," "fight on," and "ready" better, but for the combo announcements and for counter breakers, Mike just sounds way more into it. Plus, they forgot to add the reverb on Chris' "danger, danger."

You mean you can switch between them in-game? Thats so freakin' awesome. I like Chris, reminds me of the first game. I love it when they yell combo at the end of each combo too. When they just yell "ULLLLTRRRAAAAAA"!!!! it reminds me of the dumbed down SNES version.
I like Chris better because I played the old Killer Instinct a lot. And that was half the game for me. Plus, I like his voice better, the new dude sounds too unruly.

Mike seems very emotional while Chris seems very flat. You really need to sell the ultra combo to be a great KI announcer. Always loved the KI announcer.

Back then all was very Amazing. How the announcer announced the players name/Combos/Starting menu. But in this one is great because it fits in with the movement of the game and the style. Mike Wins, but back then will always be my favorite.
The best thing ever would be if you could have the same exact sound clips from the original KI.
