The story is so one note, a big discord of "mine is bigger than thine yield, your life sucks I live better, ect". The protagonist always ends up with the bigger better mcguffin in the end.
Can't there be a more realistic end?? Like the protagonist just being like "nope, it's a simple, boring life, but it is mine and I am happy". And at the end of the story it's like the count of Monte Cristo, the antagonists destroys himself because he envies the person who had less, but was a million times happier.
