I recently rented a 2021 Audi E-tron for a week. The charging curve on this thing is fantastic. I was pulling 180-190kW from 10-75% SoC. 150kW at 80%, 120kW around 87-89% and dropping to around 80kW all the way to like 98%. We pulled into a 350kW EA charger with about 14% SoC, and barely had enough time to get McDonald’s before it was at 90+% and I worrying about idle fees. Definitely the fastest-charging EV I’ve ever driven.

We bought a 2022 e-tron about three months ago. First EV, and we enjoy it so much, we have an order placed whenever Porsche decides to build us a Taycan.
tbh this is a surprise because e-trons are heavy af barges, BEVs built on flexi-platforms (ICE/Hybrid/BEV) are typically 200-300kg heavier than dedicated BEV platforms with lower performance and range as a direct result of the extra weight. It is really nice looking inside and out, hope you like it.
My boss owns an etron. I've ridden around in a few EVs and think this SUV is amazing. You guys will love it. Btw the cruise control, lane keep is nice.... The interface could be wayyy better.
Just hear Kyle say that he does not think that the etron does in route battery pre conditioning. It does not need to. That is the beauty of the FAT etron's amazing BMS. It does not need to precondition when rolling into a DC fast charger. For preconditioning at home, obviously, you just hit the cabin preconditioning button. Exceptionally useful in cold weather.
Nice car with all the comfort features you need. I hope you will be happy with your "used" E-tron! Let us know how well you compare it with the Ioniq 5 and the EV-6.
I own a Tesla Y performance + and I really like the the shift-stick on the column instead of the center console. Much easier for parking in tight spots and back and forth operation. I owned 2 Audi S5 Cab and I would have traded my 2018 for the E-Tron coupé, it’s absolutely gorgeous but pricy!
Congratulation Alyssa. She’s beautiful. 💯 I would call her the B&E Express for Blue and Ellie. Just don’t tell them that kitty is massaging your back. 😏
Back in 2019, I was looking for the ultimate relaxation/isolation car for my retired parents and loved the etron prestige, but we were scared away by the low range. This was before I found your channel and learned about charging curve. I wished we had bought this as these were heavily discounted back then. Oh well.
Does it have the Matrix headlights? Audi shipped them on some trims but deactivated the matrix function. Now that it has been approved Audi can activate that function on the E-trons that have it. I hope the VW Buzz comes with matrix headlights in 2024!
I recognize that charging station. Trumbull! First place I ever charged my Taycan and ended up getting to know that parking lot well while I chatted on the phone trying to troubleshoot P&C lol
Welcome to the club, the best-kept EV secret. Got my 2021 before the prices went crazy and after rebates and some negotiations paid much less than Model Y money for it. Very curious what you get in your efficiency and range testing -- my personal best is 27.6 kWh/100 mi, lifetime average 41 kWh/100 mi with a lot of very cold winter driving. Lower ride height in sport mode seems to be good for about 10% better efficiency at highway speeds. You can get even lower in Eco but it's too soft for bad US roads and can hit bump stops.
Ouch, sounds like second owners took the hit for depreciation. You guys paid $70k for this thing? I’m thinking of picking up one now. Just found one almost identical with 45,000 miles and it’s $18k including the 4K EV discount

Look forward to upcoming videos on it
Wow she went from r u still filming back then to here in end of 2023 now does great filming
Congrats I just picked up an etron gt last week
Where’s the rest of the road trip?!
"My brain doesn't work much lately." That was too funny.
There is a black optics package that blacks all the chrome. Do the same and love the combo. Best combo in my mind what you got. Awesome choice
I owned 2 Audi S5 Cab and I would have traded my 2018 for the E-Tron coupé, it’s absolutely gorgeous but pricy!
he is such a dad going through the sticker in the car
Such a cute couple. Love watching these!!
RIP to the Model 3. I feel like I’ve lived in it with you guys! LOL. Glad for your new purchase! Hope you guys like it!
Congrats 👍 Nice car, had two of them and have the GT now 🙂
Welcome to the club, the best-kept EV secret.
@13:00 Kyle and Dad sooo love to geek-banter LoL
Oh, cool, I didn't know Alyssa did the filming in the videos! Awesome, enjoy your new ride!
Nice choice guys!! Do you know if Audi allow you to spec a new one with the same kit? Or have they culled the options like they have here in the UK?
Congrats Alyssa! Looking forward to more doggo roadtrip videos!
Congratulations Alissa!! I hope you really enjoy your new car. I’m a bit envious, even though I love my i3 too.
It can’t get much more “first world” than this video. Rich people buy brand new cars like normal people buying cellphone.
"Yeah we got 0 mph floating right there."
"Well, you better slow down."
Thanks! For the great video. You are one of my favorite reviewers. I am a bit jealous of your car and cars! Drive safe
If you are tinting the front window you should look into AirBlue, it is a clear tint that cuts down on the radiant heat. I have it on my wife’s Tesla Model 3 P, my Jeep Wrangler Sahara.
Will it work OK with the Audi HUD? Will tinting work with the HUD?
Wow I did not expect a stop at Colony Pizza when I sat down to watch this, love it! I’m in Stamford, been eating that pizza as long as I’ve been alive. Great video!
Colony Pizza is the best!
We need the road-trip back video for this please.
They paid $70k for this preowned car.
Congrats you two. Love this not overly edited uncut genuine old school type of CZcams video.
Alyssa went from a Tesla grin to an Audi grin!
Congrats on the new ride!
It was a really good video with your family! I love it!
Congrats Alyssa on a nice car. I enjoyed the family participation. I only wish Kyle would treat you more like a lady instead of talking over and making fun of you.
You've noticed too.. I was saying the same thing the other day. Although in THIS video, he was a perfect gentleman. *I truly believe, he's the nicest guy. Just sometimes, comes across, odd with her.*
yeah she is tolerant...
she chose that shiet car shows she's a poor soul..
@@avatr7109 I'm not exactly sure, what your point is. Are you saying she's to blame because she chose to work on the shows (and deserves what he dishes out)?
i have drove audi for years and love them
Kyle, do you always sit so close to the steering wheel? I pray your air bag doesn’t go off, it’ll knock you into the back seat!
Poor Alyssa! “oh, you’re still filming!”
Congratulations Alyssa on the your new functional luxury vehicle.
This car is beautiful! Congrats 😊 what great parents
“Just don’t figure it out by smashing into EA station” 😂 living the banter and LOVE the car! 👍
2 years until a Porsche Macan EV for mom. Should be one of the first on the PPE platform
