While I don’t think Jackie did/does right by Takari and her child, Evilyn was still messy as hell and vindictive. They can both be wrong in this situation.
Stay out of her family business period. Reading in between the lines tells me Jackie was mad at her daughter for being young and unwed having 3 kids at the time. All while Jackie supported them and allowed them to live on her property with the kids dad, who obviously wasn't doing enough of supporting his children. As a parent that would make anyone mad. The back story on their relationship was exaggerated to sell her book. Somethings were true and some probably were not. We will never know the full history on their relationship, so we can not judge.
