- ok for you that know higurashi then you know its usa witch dont play in the uk dvd player (or dose it :P ) the answer most dvd player has a setup menu witch the makers have access to but the trick is hackers like me can find out some of the dvd player keys as shown in this video if you want me to see if i can crack your dvd player just give me the make and model number (found on the back of your dvd player usually ) and you should be sorted and ill see wot i can do for you i might have done it before aka basically just finding the key i saved lol in a note book i have lol well enjoy plz subscribe to elfenliedtopfan5 and request there plz coz this is a back up account and not active unless uploading

This is not really a hack just region code switching. The DVD player in my computer gives you the option for what region you want and you just check the circle. Still. Why they don't make all DVD players region free is beyond me.
I love Higurashi; I have a region 2 of it, & now I'll be able to play it. Thank you.

JVC DVD Player from Saudi Arabia is Region 2 but Region Free. 110V - 240V, PAL NTSC settings, plays different regions of DVD.

When you change a dvd player from region 2 to multi region is 0 at the end and i have done this over the years. It's always the code with the region code of that country then you want to make it a unlocked machine you set it to 0 so you don't have to change the region code every time. Here in Australia machines come unlocked out of the box but sometimes one will get through that is locked and it's legal to unlock a machine.

buy a modded region free player. i just played my first region two disc last night and it was so awesome. (spooks {MI-6} from UK. great series. it’s also a bluray player and i got prison break complete series which isn’t available in north america for some weird reason. but season 5 said region b but it still played in the player so that was weird
Why companies not made dvd player for all region automaticlly ,Its difficult to change region !!
Because setting regions allows them to artificially inflate prices so richer regions pay more for the same product as poorer regions.
Because actress/actors have in their contracts that they don't want the film to be seen in a certain region. Especially if it had a nudity scene or if it has some political sensitivity. They want to make it more difficult for you to obtain it.

Did you know Japan and the UK are both region code 2 so you could get your anime from Japan. I just wish that was the same story for America.
America and it’s overseas territories, Canada, and Bermuda uses Region 1, Mexican DVDs have both Region 1 and 4 to play on different North American and Latin American DVD Players.

Sony DVP-SR200PI've tried the 2 hacks I've found & neither works:1. Open disc tray, enter 2812 (nothing happens on the screen or player at all) and2. Go thru Top Menu to enter 12450 (doesn't change the player to read my Region 0 disc)
Since the dvd I'm trying to play is Region 0 (all regions) then it's clearly a player problem. If you've got any suggestions other than, buy a new player, I'd love to try it :)
