If you look closely you always see two or Three in the left background Who are hugging themselfs looking so depressed. We forget sometimes that in this video they are playing in the forest like normal orangutan but the rest of the Time, they are in cages. In forest school they are between 3 and 5 normally so they Will still miss a Mother til 8. Hé still remember His Mother killed by poachers or himself Taken from His mom. So you see fun and cutenest... I see sadnest. I am sad to see that we had create the problem and now we "try" to "fix" our mistakes buy try to save a fiew. Are we suppose to congraculate ourselfs???
In orangutan's school they teach them to scared of the predators, tell them not everyithing is nice. That's normal for every animal to be scared. But these babies don't have mother to tell them what is predator.

Oh for heaven's sake, put those babies down! They are at school in the forest to learn to be independent of you, to climb vines and trees, to play, to learn how to build nests, and you're not doing them any favors if you're not encouraging them to live a life not cuddling with humans. Take the babies out and encourage them to climb, forage, explore! A brief cuddle is fine, but then encourage them to be orangutans!
I agree. But this Lady had paid thousand for a trip like that. A Rich American Who Think that they can Buy everything... She is (sadly) buying Them food... Sanctuaries have no Choice but to autorise this kind of tourism so they raise more money. The problem His: no matter hard they try, those orangutan Will Côme back to the camp or Will Search for human contact in a forest with a lot of poachers. IT is better for orangutan but gorillas and chimps are still Killed every day. And dont forget that only about 60 pourcent can be release AT the END. Many are too traumatised or attached to Human. Sometimes i ask myself: Wouldnt be better to Buy a big big part of the lands they want to grow palm trees on instead of create all those sanctuaries. Its not cheap but long term IT would probably save us money and orangutan would still reproduce and live in their natural habitac. Put Electric fences outside the protected Forrest and control the birth rate... I am not an expert but... Those plantation are for sale right? Buy Them before the plantation guy does! Youll prevent the problem! Instead we are putting millions in sanctuaries.!!!
