I just started taking Prozac 6 days ago. I'm getting insomnia from it, did you experience that?

I did not.... There could be other factors at play, such as anxious thoughts or nervous system disregulation.

I love you and this video. Dr prescribed me 3 things. diagnosed with postpartum depression. my baby is a month old. I've always had anxiety but have never taken meds. turns out 2 of them she prescribed, amitriptyline and prozac cannot be taken together so I have to choose between the 2. one is prozac. I've been researching ALL day for 3 days and I haven't taken any of my meds. I'm so discouraged by the medication. nothing but bad reviews. But this video actually made me want to give it a try

I am soooo glad this sparked some hope and optimism! Thank you for the feedback... I hope the medicine works for you. For me it has been great. Feel free to check back in here and tell me how you are feeling on the med if you end up taking it! I would love to know! Remember that one side effect to be extra cautious of is a reverse effect, where Prozac actually makes your anxiety and stuff worse. That hasn't happened to anyone I know of but just watch for that. The pros so outweigh the cons though when you are in the thick of postpartum craziness and need an antidepressant to keep you afloat for a little while. All the best!

+Lizzie Langston thank so much for responding! I feel so alone. everyone and especially my husband is being supportive but it doesn't help! no one understands me. The thing is I also have fibromyalgia and that's why they.prescribed amitriptyline. although that medication is for nerve issues and also will treat my carpal tunnel, it's also an antidepressant. My Dr should not have prescribed both! SERIOUS interactions. But rather than call my Dr and ask for something else I'd rather just pick one! I have never given into meds before.
both actually scare me because I've spent so much time reading reviews and watching CZcams videos. I haven't found one other positive CZcams video on either one. seems antidepressants are just horrible. I honestly don't know if I'll even take ANY of them.
my symptoms are extreme fatigue, chronic depression, I can't feel happiness or motivation, extreme guilt, I can't even listen to my 6 year old talk without wanting to go.crazy, isolation, I hate my job. No thoughts of harming myself or my babies. idk if I.mentioned but my baby is 1 month old.

I thought the same and My doctor said that’s too long to be post partum and that by that point it’s just mild depression and gad

postpartum issues can linger; emotion gets stored in your nervous system. also, childhood stuff can come up throughout postpartum and as our children grow. I have more about this in my free mini course, here: www.lizzielangston.com/freebie-1-optin
