We would like to thank Romane Massard & Matthieu Lamotte for writing and directing this music video and choosing our song ‘Blackbird’ as their final piece of work for their Bachelor in film studies.
We always imagined something simple and raw that would highlight the emotions of this song, and feel like together they really captured the meaning of what Blackbird is about.
What makes this collaboration especially meaningful for us, is that we first met Romane Massard in 2015 when she was singing along in the audience of one of our gigs.
Many concerts later, we got to talking and discovered she was an aspiring film writer and director, and mused at the idea that one day maybe she would be making a video for us.
Four years on, we received this music video from Romane, that she made alongside co-director Matthieu Lamotte.
We as a band know personally how hard it is to find a way into this industry and so feel very proud to be able to share and support the next generation of talent and creativity.
