It has an incredibly dark tone that would be loved in any big wind ensemble. Almost like a french horn sound. I'm certain with some vibrato in a classical piece every single one of y'all would change your mind. But in a pop song, bright tones are used more to make parts stand out so it's not the best example here.
@@connormoon8363 I mean nice if u want to play sax go for it it’s a really amazing instrument and they say it’s easy to learn but really hard to master.
I like the wooden one. Its tone is very dampened. Has like blue, tired and kinda doomer tone. The 1950's one sound very interesting too to me, has like very BLues/Rock tone to it
The plastic sax sounds good. The wooden one doesn't sound great but I liked the scat sound and the sound of the Grafton. Is the Grafton all plastic or the keys and neck metal? I have never seen one in person and those parts look like they could be metal.
The neck and keys are metal, except for the cover for low B and B flat which is plastic. The tone varies a lot depending on the register and the acrylic body is super brittle which is why working, playable models are pretty rare.
I went to the musical instruments museum in Phoenix and that had a glass saxophone on display. There were no examples of what it sounded like but I would love to hear it.
Love the tone of the wood one actually. Obviously not jazzy or poppy or whatever, but it sounds really pleasant. The grafton might be one of the most beautiful instruments I’ve ever seen and I love it as well.
Stan Getz would have loved the wooden one lol.
fr, it sounds a lot like his tone

The wooden saxophone takes a woodwind to the next level
True
Litterly tho💀💀🤌🏼
The wooden one has a weird warm tone that i would never expect from brass instruments, it almost sounds like a retro recording
It's a woodwind 💀
@@onepieceedits6506 Huh, i tought it was part of the brass instruments, still, its one of the brightest ones of that class
@@A-G-F- yeah pretty accurate
It’s like a half brass, half woodwind
It used to be brass a long time ago but since it uses a reed just like every other woodwind instrument it became accepted as a woodwind
I kinda liked the wooden one. Kinda like chilling on a autumn afternoon with a cloudy sky in a forest cabin
Then you are going to really like the clarinet
it sounds like a sad clarinet : \
