I just watched a program about the use of human waste/municipal sludge being used in a digestor with other organic materials like potato peels from McCain. The gas in captured and burned for heat. The material solid is then being brought to farms as fertilizer. This program about nature in our province questioned the fact that our government Environment Quebec, is allowing this with not much testing for contaminants. Farmers are accepting it because it is delivered to them for free. It can only be used on farms that grow feed for animals.
