Revolt becomes vocal. Previously available as an instrumental in the second World Beyond album Nobody Asked For This So I Did It, this Mental Omega theme gets a redesigned intro with Nicholas Standing's lead guitar setting the mood from the start. The message is simple: don't let anyone control your thoughts. There are forces that will take the best in you and turn it against you without you even noticing. Even when everything feels okay, it could be you're only being held hostage in your comfort zone oblivious, disarmed and unprepared. This is the angriest track of the bunch, with loud and punchy drums cutting through the powerful bass and lead guitar performance by Nicholas Standing. Featuring additional female vocals by Maritza Vilibic and an emotional screaming part by Nick.

My GF and I had a few discussions trying to figure out the language of the lyrics,so we finally got our answer
Also this is basically Mental omega Season(act) 3 opening theme in my mind
Your music, combined with the mod really helped me with college last year
Re starting with 25 years was bit scary ,but never had more determination ,and with your music its easy to keep it high so from my heart tank you
Initially i wanted to make the virtual choir sing in Latin but the available syllables were for Sanskrit. I then somehow came up with simple phrases in Spanish and then just before the release of NAFTSIDI I asked Maritza to record the vocals to blend them with the choir and she agreed. It's so nice to know that our music actually helps people with motivation and generally lifts their spirits, this is ultimately why we do this and i can only support your effort for education! Good luck in achieving your goals!

Man everytime i hear something from you i getting goosebumps... never had thought that people can make such awesome soundtracks to a Mod. IM so lucky to beeing a 90th kid to have played RA2. :D haha

Я буду не первым но явно буду не последним кто будет благодарить вас за ваши труды, в частности за саундтрек к Mental Omega, это ж надо было так идеально через музыку передать чувство того как у Восстания осталось мало времени и насколько отчаянно их положение, а когда в финальной миссии после активации Маяка и казалось конца всего, заигрывает Revolt срывая слезы с наших глаз мотивирую буквально сражаться до последней капли воли. Такую же идеальную синергию музыки и игры я видел разве что в Mass Effect 2. Гордитесь собой, вы лучшие!
Спасибо большое за ваш отзыв и сравнение с Mass Effect очень приятно, однако хочу сказать, что большую роль в постановке сюжетных миссий и формировании музыкального стиля новой фракции сыграл Speeder, который лично отбирал композиции для этих целей, я считаю себя скорее генератором контента. Speeder и мой гитарист Ник Стэндинг очень помогали советами на стадии продакшена и формирования треклистов. По счастливоему стечению обстоятельств наша музыка удачно легла на игровой процесс мода и поклонники Mental Omega первыми открыли её для себя.

I dig it. The instrumentals on this track make it sound like a James Bond track at times. Didn't expect this to have lyrics. Is there a fully instrumental version, as well?
The closest we've got to the true instrumental version can be heard in the members exclusive video Evolution of Revolt Cover Art Design. I wasn't quite satisfied with how it sounded without the choir backing it and settled on a limited demo video.
This entire mod is an epic seinen anime by this point.

Its just impressive how much effort is put in this mod. The only other cnc mod that is even slightly comparable to MO is ROTR and its not even close(i do prefer ROTRs gameplay tho)

Стараюсь, по-крайней, мере не разочаровывать... Честно говоря, мне кажется у эпсилон свой уникальный звукоряд, который трудно представить себе иначе, и BlackIce9 заслуживает большого уважения как автор. Но если вам всё равно интересно, я бы всё превратил в эмбиентовый синематик с быстрыми арпеджио, ненавязчивыми племенными барабанами и в целом оглядывался бы на музыку нежити из wciii только с электронными пэдами, басами и психоделикой.

At face value the line "to be reborn again" seems redundant, but I believe it refers to how this is not the first rebirth, this is the everlasting cosmic struggle between Yin and Yang
Basically, the way i see it is how everything on Earth goes through the cycle of coming in and out of existence whether that's living beings or ideas, so when we pass away, others step in to carry on our good efforts.

Я честно говоря в сильном замешательстве, когда вижу как ловко манипулируют чувствами и мыслями людей, и это принимают, потому что легче принимать решения когда тебя подталкивают к готовому ответу те, кто хочет на тебе нажиться...
Как человеческое общество может обрести "иммунитет" к этому всему, ведь даже если группа индивидов обращает внимание на ложь и поддельные ценности, курс развития человечества не меняется? Хотя хочется надеяться что это только как это выглядит.
А музыка как была топ, так с новым вокалом только лучше стала!

Only now I have realized the choir was in Spanish
i wanted to find a way to make the virtual choir sing something non-distracting but that would have some sense to it so I improvised with syllables until finally i asked Maritza to record the choir vocals and just layered her voice on top

I must say that I never ever heard of song with a "revolution" theme like this. Most "revolution" themes are akin to communist revolutions but this is different. It has the them of revolting against that status quo or revolting against a communist, authoritarian or simply evil regime, or even those who want the people think a "certain way." Like revolting against the dystopian future of George Orwell's 1984.
I never realized this until recently, it was a brilliant idea to have "psychic tech" in the Soviet arsenal in Red Alert 2, communists can not tolerate individuality and Yuri Revenge/Epsilon symbolize communism's endgame it is never about bringing a "utopia*," only control, domination and hell-on-earth, in short communism is a fancy form of slavery.
* Utopia, the Greek word for a place that does not exist. Thomas More did not pick that name for his book on a whim.
it's an important idea to me because it concerns all shapes and forms of human existence really. People who let others decide for them often end up mistreated and deceived and as a result of such behavior the regimes that face no criticism from within eventually fall under the weight of their own unrealistic ambitions and neglected issues. We all have different lives, there is no universally applicable solution to our problems, despite what governments or media force upon us. It is always easier to address a group of people united around certain values rather than each of them individually, which is why a homogeneous society is so important to the people in power. Most of us don't have an immediate opinion on every problem our civilization faces, so they fill that void with the voices of mass media and public figures in our heads, which we get used to and start accepting as our own thoughts.
So ehh, the Foehn answer to Yuri's mindcontrol is brainwashing. Great

Понимаю ваши чувства, но мы живём в цифровую эпоху, когда музыкальные композиции доступны для прослушивания и скачивания в любом формате, будь то оригинал, кавер версии, инструментальные версии. Появление новых интерпретаций не лишает нас возможности слушать оригинальные произведения.

Мне очень нравится музыка WB, но тут я реально не могу понять, у Вас слуха что-ли нет? Это же ужасно, этот вокал просто кошмарен, я понимаю, что это совсем не популярное мнение, но уж извините, классика намного лучше, мужской вокал на уровне детского сада, это просто ужас!
В который раз, мир показывает, что звучание и вокал - умерли. Очень жаль, что WB следует моде, а не рационализму с логикой.

Мне тут показали Ultramarine Chant - вот пример того, где всё идеально, без особых упорств. Там чувствуется синергия и музыкального сопровождения и псевдовокала. Опять же, надеюсь, что у команды WB всё впереди!
