- This is the first time I've attended Roll Out Roll Call in the south of the UK. A fair dedicated to GI Joe, Action Force and Transformers.
Although small, it packs a punch!!

Hi, I'm VTR Dave. A Brit on a mission to curate a high-quality and diverse collection of vintage toys, known as the VT aRchive.

Ha ha! A little bit of travel recently. It was quite nice to visit the New Forest again, haven't been that way for ages - use to visit Beaulieu for classic car shows. 11am is certainly easier than 8am that's for sure 🤣 and I don't know about celebrity LOL but I do joke with DCB that whenever I'm responding to comments, I am engaging with my fans 🤣🤣🤣 It's a great fair and enjoyed the day!
Never knew about this show but would have loved to have gone and picked up some bits for my Action Force collection. It looked like a great day.
Worth checking out if you're nearby! Good selection of Joes & Action Force - more than I would usually see at the main toy fairs 👍

Looks like a smart little fair that one dude, great coverage, love that guys action force customs, absolute fire and very crisp work. Also that kraken illustration was the bomb.

Would be awesome to see some kind of collaboration between the two of you! 👍 Love that Kraken illustration!!

Yeah, he certainly does. I can imagine it takes much effort to put something on like this. Although relatively small, it packs a punch and I enjoyed the friendly atmosphere 👍 I can only imagine the Star Wars event is very similar.

Looks like a great toy fair. I like the look of those Action Force custom jobs and the Iron Blood sign is great, I might have to see if I can hunt one down for myself 😊
Those custom Action Force items are from Matt (instagram.com/the_kraken_wakes/) - his stuff is really high quality, definitely worth looking at 👍

You're welcome! 👍 Have fun collecting Action Force! It's quite a large toy line which is why I've focused on the Red Shadows / Enemy team. Maybe we'll meet at a future RORC 🤘

Cool packaged/boxed art work, and cool lizard character drawing you got made there too. Roboskull, that is one I haven't learned about till now. Thanks. Nice scenery there too. Good tour of the show, thanks!
Yeah, GI Joe in particular has some fantastic artwork! The lizard is a character called the Kraken from Palitoy's Action Force. He's part of the Red Shadows (Enemy Team). Love the drawing! Sometimes, you'll see him pop-up in my restoration videos when I say Let's Crack On 🤣 The Roboskull is an iconic Red Shadows vehicle designed by Bob Brechin (Chief Designer at Palitoy), who was also at the fair - that pic in the video is Bob holding the Kraken drawing 👍 The New Forest is a lovely area to visit - a natural country side where animals roam free.
@@VintageToyRush Cool to learn about the Kraken character, thanks Dave. I liked seeing the box art for Action Force and GI Joe were very close, being linked lines. Did England ever get the animated series for Action Force?
And for the details on Bob and Roboskull. Great drawing! A talented artist/designer and cool you got to meet him. That is good to hear the landscape has the animals free-roaming about. Thanks, Dave, keep up the great collecting, restorations and videos.
@@BlackArroToons Now I don't ever remember watching the GI Joe cartoon back in the day here in the UK but there was one. My understanding is that it was renamed to Action Force, had new titles and even the voice over was replaced. So instead of Yo Joe, it was Full Force :) and some of character names were changed. As I said, I have no recollection of ever seeing it on British TV.

I did RORC last year, it’s ok but very small, I did find a couple of things etc but decided against going this year as was a week after Sandown wasn’t it,
I do love the setting, the drive down is amazing, as you drive through the new forest etc, lovely little village too
Yeah that drive down is amusing! Spotted pigs, cows, horses, donkeys, foals all sorts playing chicken with the cars!! It's a small fair, but still decent stuff to find - the fact each event is focused on a small number of toy lines helps 👍 Good atmosphere too with the auction and presentations.
I hoped you bought that ClawDeen! We could have made a pink lion Livestream! 😂😂

Dave, on your way through the new forest was there any point you halted by wandering cows? 😂 when my girlfriend and I went to Weymouth we went to the spacebridge on the way home, loads of cows were just stopping in the road 😂, it was quite funny
Ha ha!! I agree it is amusing!! Saw cows, pigs, horses, deer, all sorts just doing their thing whether it be safe or not. Dunno why it's so funny, it's just natural wildlife 🤣
