Was Eddie the older kid about Wally's age? Wasn't he the one that was always trying to dump Beaver and get Wally go somewhere and get into some kind of trouble? Then he'd put on the 'polite boy' act whenever Mrs. Cleaver was nearby! June would roll her eyes or give Wally 'that look.'

Oh my gosh...I am 75 years old and I STILL turn on my iPad while I am at the breakfast table and watch a rerun of Leave it To Beaver while I am eating breakfast or drinking a cup of coffee. My husband gets the biggest kick out of me, however I also hear him sitting either at the other end of the table, or in the living room laughing at something that is going on in the episode. This show just takes me back to a time when life was so relaxing, and it is just a great time machine. I remember Judy very well, and as an adult, I can watch this and think , "wow...if she was my student, I would not have been as calm as Miss Landers", so that just shows you what a great little actress she was. I adore her character. Absolutely my most favorite of that era. Oh...I can't forget Eddie Haskell...what a character...every good parents nightmare, LOL. The whole cast was remarkable.

My favorite episode is the Voo-doo movie one where Eddie pretends to be hypnotized and calls Beaver "master". I call my cat that when I'm being nagged for food... "YES. MASTER. COMING. WITH. THAT.

I knew "Jeri" was the actress' name, but this video made me notice for the first time that she and Jerry Mathers were phonetic namesakes. It's easy to imagine Beaver and Judy maybe maybe going out on a date and maybe hating each other a little less if she had stayed with the show. I do agree that the show did lose something when Rusty Steve s left-they never found another friend for Beaver as perfectly cast as Larry Mondello-not surprising that most of my favorite episodes of the show were those featuring Larry. . To a somewhat lesser extent, the same could be said about Jeri Weil as Judy Hensler and Sue Randall as Miss Landers. Did anyone find it ironic that in one of the last episodes of the show,Wally takes neither Mary Ellen Rogers or Julie Foster to the graduation dance? Judy Garland went through the same thing when filming Wizard of OZ. from what I've read the studio make--up people had her wraped up like a mummy under her clothes to make her look younger once mother nature hit her and she begain to develop and blossom. Hollywood is known for making the actor's life miserable back in thoses days.

Her first appearance on Leave It To Beaver was Beaver Short Pants (season 1, episode 11). Judy Hensler played by Jeri Weil. Her last appearance on Leave It To Beaver was Beaver Big Hero (season 4, episode 3). Rusty Steven who played Larry Mondello also appeared on his first appearance, Beaver Short Pants (season 1, episode 11).

Great vid, Dave! Yes, I knew a few "Judy Henslers" in grade school. I might have even had a crush a couple of them HahA! I'm always happy to hear of child actors who have successfully left Hollywood behind. All too often, young actors, especially those in later years, meet very different fates. I wish a few of them would attend a fan expo in my area...I would love to meet the Beaver cast. I'm sure they hear it wherever they go, but I just want to shake their hands and thank them for the good childhood memories. Thanks for posting, Dave!.

Larry Mondello (Robert "Rusty" Stevens) was the best friend / foil / frenemy the Beav ever had on the series! Stevens' mom was such a pain to the producers, they were forced to get rid of the Larry character. Larry either got the Beav in one mess after another or sometimes helped him out. Either way, I always missed Larry after he was gone after the 3rd season (1959-60). The show soldiered on for its last 3 seasons (1960-63), but it was never the same hilarious series with episodes centering around the Beaver without apple-munching Larry. Robert Stevens is also alive, as is Jerry Mathers, Tony Dow, Ken Osmond, and Jeri Weil, who is one month older than Jerry.

The last appearance of Jeri Weil (Judy Hensley) was Beaver's Hero, Season 4 Episode 3 (converted to Episode 120) on Leave It To Beaver. Earlier, Beaver just made up a story about saving the speedboat and a drowning a girl in the lake, but it is actually a canoe is drifting across the lake and nobody aboard on the canoe. Whoever used the canoe last did not secure the rope to the dock to keep the canoe in one place, and near the end of that show, Beaver finally told the truth about saving the canoe that is drifting across the other side of the lake to Miss Landers and the class, and Judy let Beaver off the hook by telling the truth, and Judy did accepted the apology to Beaver.
