  • A step-by-step tutorial about how you can make and protect your own PHP desktop apps, how to add licensing features with hardware-locking. So that you can sell licenses of your PHP apps for Windows, make money and avoid piracy thanks to the ExeOutput for PHP and Obsidium software.
You have created a PHP website or a PHP application that you would like to distribute to your customers, market it and make money with it?
But, there is a big problem: a desktop application in PHP, HTML and JS has its source code accessible to everyone. Nothing then prevents anyone from copying, cracking or even rebranding your application…
This video shows a real working and afordable solution. Compiling your PHP and HTML code with ExeOutput for PHP will allow you to protect your PHP code as well as the other files (image, HTML, CSS and other assets…) composing your app against simple copy.
Applications created with ExeOutput for PHP are not simple “empty shells”. During compilation, ExeOutput for PHP compresses all the files making up your application; and it encrypts them before packaging them into a single executable file. Your files are secure and remain inaccessible to the end user. Of course, your PHP application will work perfectly.
We can combine ExeOutput for PHP and Obsidium to generate protected apps and sell licenses for them.
In the video, you can see how to turn a CodeIgniter-based PHP app into an executable with ExeOutput for PHP. Then, we add licensing features thanks to Obsidium, a great software protection tool.
We also use hardware-locking long license keys. Thus, customers can’t share their licenses with others. We show how to retrieve a system ID and generate activation codes.
This ensures that you will earn more money from selling your PHP apps, since hardware-locking reduces piracy.
It requires the two following software:
    - ExeOutput for PHP, to make secure PHP desktop apps in EXE format from PHP and HTML websites. Link to download: www.exeoutput....
    - Obsidium, to add licensing features to the EXE file. Link to download: www.obsidium.de
Download the source code of the PHP app sample in the video (exeoutput-obsidium package) and UserMain.txt file for free at www.exeoutput....
or with the ExeOutput’s Web Update utility.
Learn more about ExeOutput for PHP, the PHP compiler for Windows that combines Chromium and PHP. You also make portable apps!
A free and fully-functional trial is available for testing. Try before you buy. No credit card required. No subscription required.

This doesn't protect against cloning the whole system, the hdd, mobo ids are stored in windows and not real time values.

Just ask the Obsidium author for a solution.

I am a serious buyer but I don't know how will it works for laravel and one more problem: is there any option to have a print preview to customize page setup like margins, scale, page size same as chrome print setup. if yes then can you make a video for us? we will pay you for video as well. or if direct you are helping us by remote access to make our application exe we will pay you for that.
    One more question:
Does the source code of the project will be protected?
    Thanks and best regards.
I hope we get your reply soon

I purchased Obsidium but in settings/advanced I don´t have the options "Control Overlay Access", "Alternate Controm Method", "Encrypt Overlays". At the end I wasn't able to protect the file because I got a message "Input file format is not supported". I have exeoutput for PHP and Obsidium but I'm not able to protect my app. Is there any update? Any suggestions?

@@tegaekoh7813 Yes I spent a lot of time on this issue. The problem was the Obsidium 64 bits. The 64 bits version is not compatible with EXE Output you have to get the 32 bits version.

After having compiled your console app, under the log shown by ExeOutput, there is a button named "Open Command Prompt". Just click it and you'll have a console window. Then type the name of your EXE file (without .exe) and the console app is started. The console won't close and you'll see output.

    • @gdgsoftware
      @gdgsoftware  Před 3 lety

For small PHP websites, you can create a single EXE file. Otherwise, you have to build an installer. There is a built-in feature to build single EXE installer files.
