  • @ARElectrics
    @ARElectrics Před 4 lety +1

    In the nicest way possible. I do like your videos and you do a great job. But with the amount of work going on in that space I'd had pulled the ring final back to a point and started again in that room. That way the 2 legs that come out the floor can be isolated and chopped off to save the hassle and you could had incorporated all sockets on the ring with no spurs and junction boxes.
    I'm not there on site with all the facts from the job but from what I see that's what I'd had done. And that I'd had done the same with the lighting.
    On these jobs we do normally turn up and the builder has pulled all ceilings down for M&E to be fair so it's much easier to do it.
    I would also always get the builders to put a 50mm duct to the island to future proof it. Easily pull cables in and out.
    Jcc fittings are great we use the v50s. Cant fault them and the price is fantastic.
    Hadnt seen those hybrids I may take a look 👀

    • @drummerbod
      @drummerbod Před 4 lety +1

      The Insure are rated at 32A.

    • @johnhoward2104
      @johnhoward2104 Před 4 lety +1

      @@drummerbod OK, thanks for letting me know.
      Whether used as MF or not, there's no need to use 32 amp rated connectors for a 32 amp 2.5mm2 RFC when either extending the leg through one box or adding a spur (the cables are only rated at 20 amps anyway), the 773-102's/104's, rated at 20 amps (de-rated down from 24 amps when MF) are perfectly acceptable (assuming no correction factors are applicable); although the 222's can be used if desired but are not actually needed because they too are de-rated to 20 amps when used MF, so negating the perceived benefit of using a 32 amp connector. All the info needed to understand what's required can be found here: www.connexbox.com/resource-centre - in short, the documents show 102's/104's (rated at 24 amps) can be used when accessible, and the MF document shows they can also be used when MF (but de-rated to 20 amps, as are the 222's, as seen in table 1).
