- Headphones strongly recommended!! This is just live audio from the concert, none of the video is from this performance.
A Song For You! Led by Dennis Edwards, from Painters Mill, Maryland.

Great performance of this song. I especially love at the end, Richard is sure to make sure Damon Harris got a shout out.
The only people missing from the Temptations Reunion were; Elbridge Bryant, Paul Williams, and Louis Price. Louis had only left the band within the last couple years, so it makes sense. Elbridge Bryant never sang with the Temptations again as far as I'm aware after he left the band. We all know Paul Williams would've been there, though. I'm sure he was in everyone's minds throughout the show.
Originally on "A Song For You" (this was the title track) this song was originally recorded with Damon Harris. It became one of Dennis Edwards' primary songs to perform with the Temptations, and he performed it in the 2000s with Aretha Franklin as well.

Wish motown or some would put out a complete dvd and complete cd of their reunion concert with a 100 page hard cover book & 5 reunion posters now that would be great for us fans. I dont know why motown won't do this for temps .. any one who agrees with m send me a message
Dennis owns this like David owns MY Girl. Ollie owns Some Enchanted Evening♥️. TEMPTATIONS♥️FOREVER..
Doing what they DO!
Yup! Richard owns Heavenly, Paul owns For Once In My Life and Don't Look Back. Totally agree
Nobody I REPEAT NOBODY CAN SING THIS SONG LIKE THE GREAT DENNIS EDWARDS..RIP
Sing that song Dennis
I saw them at Painters Mill on the revolving stage in Baltimore. Still got the stub. 👍👍👍
thats so cool!!
Damon and Louis were the only two missing from the Reunion tour tho it makes sense why neither would be there. Louis’ tenure with the group (the Atlantic years) weren’t very successful, if at all. In Damon’s case, he had been fired by Otis in 1975. While there was some tension between him and O, they reconciled before Damon died in 2013. As for Paul we know he died in 1973. No further explanation needed. However it wasn’t mentioned that Elbridge was also deceased by the reunion tour as well. He died in 1975 at 36.
That would've been something! Had any of them joined up with the Reunion. I would've loved it, but I can see why people would think there'd be "too many cooks in the kitchen". 90% of the songs on the official reunion album are all Dennis', I love em but def wish we heard more of the others.
I definitely agree about Louis, I love him personally but it is too bad they didn't get the success I think those two albums deserved. Paul being apart of the reunion would've been a dream. Too bad we know so little of Elbridge's life after the Tempts.
I've heard that they (Damon and Otis) reconciled as well, do you know anything more about that fact?
@@readbtwnthelines Nah my man sorry
@@Frnk_3thats ok! Thanks for your comments.
Damon just had a heart no to hold grudges. Louis held up his part of being in the legacy history. Can't be dismissed because Atlantic's didn't know how to promote the group.
@@user-fb6lf3vl7p Damon was THE MAN (behind Eddie of course). He was a 100% perfect replacement. Love his voice. Louis is a good singer but he just wasn’t successful with the Tempts. He was part of Johnny Moore’s Drifters in the UK during the 80s.
