An undefeated mma world champion who is still hungry to learn and get better everyday... That's a scary thought.
I was thinking the same
@Will read again.
Agreed loved seeing Izzy in this environment, this is the real in him, felt awesome to watch him in there with world class grapplers, shows you he wants to get better and I’d bet he has great jits already, looks like he would be a great training partner :)
His long thin limbs are awesome for submissions. Would be cool if someone was able to take izzy down in a fight and izzy managed to submitted them. He is surely creative on the floor.
He needs It. Jones ground game is nasty.
The student mindset even when you’re a champ.
Not just a champ but the GOAT
@@RougeSantahe can become the GOAT but he isn't at all rn
@@RougeSanta not yet
No hate just hes a blue belt in bjj of course hes gonna have a students mindset in bjj just like henry cejudo with striking hes super cocky fighter and arguably best wrestler in the ufc and 2 division champ and gold medalist wrestler but would never let his ego get the best of him in striking grapplers turn into complete students when it comes to striking and the same for a striker on the mats
He always be student in front of Galvao on grappling
Finally hes completing his mastery of the earth element
What a great comment 😁
Somone above said something similar, but expressed it from the air perspective, he mastered the air and now is training the ground ( though "earth" is a better word )
What's water and fire?
@@mrsteezyoctopus3767 water could be weightcut mastery, and fire cardio or heart/toughness, or fire could be how to use steroids and no getting caught 😀,
Yip and he gonna be metal bending too
Nice to see a world class striker developing his ground game and doing it the right way! Big ups! Oss
If you don't mind me asking, what are some of the wrong ways to develop ground game?
@@wardogMMA what I mean with "the right way" is doing technical sparring with world class grapplers. If you know anything about grappling you can see how soft and easy they move, without ego, without using too much power. This does not emply that there is "a wrong way", this is just the most effectiv way to get really good, fast.
It's about "the flow".
@@martinmachl I get what you’re saying, but at some point you need to roll hard with another guy on your level or higher to get that real life feeling. Nobody’s gonna go easy on you in a real fight. But I very much do agree with you that doing technical work with not much force also helps. I think the ideal way to train is to go soft 4 days a week and go hard once a week.
@@wardogMMA the wrong way is somewhat similar to Ronda Rousey with her striking, went with a “boxing coach” that didn’t know what he was doing, couldn’t even teach her the fundamentals of boxing i.e keeping your hands up or blocking a jab. Only sparred boxing, no kicks no mma rounds etc. Hence she got exposed. Here you can see that adesanya is training with atos, one of the best teams in bjj and rolls with champions
Izzy has mastered the air now hes to do the same to the ground
Earth
@TOA Athletes same shit
@@darbronst2646 same shit
@@spaceman1678 By that terminology he has a long way to go.

izzy is a solid dude ... takes the time to take pictures with all those folks
@@dfgg8894 why?
I missed out on a store appearance during his fight with Silva in Melbourne. I waited outside and Izzy came out and stayed around until all the people outside waiting got a picture.
@@HimeImu solid
@@aristolochene world class gym with lots of good Jiu Jitsu competitors coming out of it, it’s good for everyone, he gets world class training and gets to show he’s training with some of the best, and they get to show they’re good enough to train UFC champions.
Izzy been taking pictures at every single training that he went too. And he trained twice every day
This guy will truly be a GOAT. His training mind is right. This was beautiful
@Jason Cole how are u gonna call this dude a casual for praising izzy. stop being such a hater and let him support whoever he want
@Jason Cole i have no idea what you mean. Where am I wrong where opening your game does not lead to legendary status. He is undefeated in the UFC with stand up alone and yet opening his ground game up. Where do you stop him once his ground game peaks. He will be if not already on GOAT status
He will never be the GOAT.
I am a fan of Izzy, but I don’t anyone can be a goat with just superb striking. I think superb wrestling and ground work is probably more important when it comes to trying to be the goat. Izzy has a lot of work to do with his takedowns and jiu Jitsu.
@Roberto Torres discipline is a necessity, but I was referring to the different arts not qualities or attributes.
This warms my heart to see "The last style bender" getting some world class sparring and training. He better make this place his west coast home.
Supposedly his BJJ blue belt is under none other than Andre Galvao, so I think it must be.
@@martialmusicman : Well, Isreal is in great hands. Looking forward to seeing him tap Bones Jones next year around labor day weekend in Raiders stadium in Las Vegas
Well, being in the Los Angels area, I don't envy the san Diego area for anything except ATOS Jiu jitsu school. I wish they offered online training courses. I'd be the first in line. Gracie schools dominate Los Angels, but I'm more drawn to 12 planet schools. Open mat sundays is not the right environment for my growth. I'm a lump of clay with respect to Jiu jitsu.
My time schedule doesn't allow me to attend 12the planet classes.
Hopefully ATOS will revolutionize distance jiu jitsu training at an affordable price range, if so I'm signing up the entire family.
@@joebruin5592 not a chance he taps jon under a year bro it takes sooo much time to go from a blue belt to a world class grappler

This guy is an awesome ambassador for New Zealand and Nigeria. Always keeping it real.

He did say he's white belt for life. Always learning.
Izzy is actually a blue belt in bjj.
@@HybridMMAExtreme he means the mindset of always having things to improve
I love Izzy so much. Glad to see him enhancing his grappling
Been training since 2009. Never respected a ufc champion more after seeing this. Israel is a G making sure he puts himself in the trenches with these training sessions
just did my first bjj class today, waited 3 whole years to do it and man did I fall in love with it.
How? You got a place that's open even with covid? I live in Cali and the bjj gyms been closed for a minute
Izzy is outspoken in the ring but humble at training. Great role model for the sport.
Yeh the trash talk is only for selling fights and social media stuff. He's actually a good guy.
Through all the bravado he seems like a humble, genuine dude.
He actually is.
He is, those acts are for show and mind games with the enemy
@@james56660 have you met him?
fo sure, he's a chill dude, all the antics and crazy hype is to sell seats
@@BobbyTMF You dont have to meet a fighter personally to understand that literally all fighters want their seats sold out, even the ones like Khabib. Youre too narrow minded brother.
This man is rapidly becoming my favorite fighter.
That's a dangerous blue belt right there
How long has he been a blue belt?
@@peanutscorn6325 since 2017
And Ashton Kutcher is a brown belt. Let that sink in lol.
@TOA Athletes My point was that Izzy looks miles away ahead than Kutcher and Kutcher is supposedly "brown belt" lol.
Khamzat chimaev
You can tell he appreciates the hell out of everyone helping him learn. Absolute champion!
I love that Izzy is throwing up spinning shit against Galvao
100th professional fight, current UFC champion and he's still learning everyday.
Has had over 100+ fights it’s actually 100th win
it was 100th win
Galvao is a legend in my eyes
Damn izzys creativity and flow come through even grappling. I hope we get to see more of this throughout his career
Imagine turning up to Blue Belt competition...and you're facing Izzy and Khamzat. Bit of a psych-out!
If its pure jiu jistu competition, my money would be on the blue belts
@@Abhi-jg3gu my money wouldnt
I just love how the media is putting these two on the same level, although one guy has a body count against people you've heard of, whilst the other has a body count of a few you probably don't know. Khamzat Lesnar, wanting that main event fight without earning a thing, and the fans just lap it up. You guys need to add 'White' to your last name since he'd be advocating a main event fight like this since he doesn't care if a fight is warranted or not as it's all about that $$$$$$
@@Abhi-jg3gu But don't forget, apart from Khamzat and Izzy being Blue Belts, they are also tall guys who are very strong and flexible and athletic and know how to move their bodies. I don't think many Blue Belts would match that side of it...which matters.
@@JohnPedder nobody anywhere that ive seen has honestly implied that kamzat is ready for izzy

@Jason Cole (yawn) Dont waste my time with your ignorance.
My guy learning every aspects of skills
The way to keep improving Israel, thanks for training with our man from down under.
Izzy is very charismatic.
Adesanya working on his earth bending skills
If Izzy's ground game becomes as good as his standup, there will be no stopping him for a good while.
Not gonna happen. His striking so fkn high no way he'll ever reach the same heights in grappling. At least not within the time he's in the UFC
no one's been able to stop him so far sooooo...
@@jaimealvarado4421 In interviews he has hinted at having a decent ground game, but not many have put him to the real test.
He has stuffed several take downs and gotten up from several takedowns too.
@Da BLACK FLASH I believe they're both intelligent fighters with Jon having more experience fighting the big names. Izzy's striking is no doubt top notch. If they do meet in the cage someday, it'll be a chess match of the highest order. Experience goes to Jon and Youth goes to Izzy.
@@Quantum3691 yeah but there's a major difference between "decent ground game" and "as good as his striking". Like I said before, his striking is so high level, I don't think he'd ever reach the same heights in grappling. It's just too high of a level.
Amazing, u ll never see any other top fighters come out and train with others like this because their ego is too big.
I imagine most other top fighters do it everyday lol
@Inverted Heel Hook true but remember they are elite fighting against elites in a specific ruleset, the more efficient their training the better, why should they causally bjj roll in rashguards if the mma fight is gonna happen with gloves on and in a cage? This is not just a hobby for them... its the way they make a living
A very humble man .. and a very tricky one !!
37 wankers so far .. makes you wonder why anyone would dislike this amazing clip..
Thanks for the up load, just fantastic 👏
He seems already comfortable on top , still learning guard game , it will be scaring when his game is completed .. champions mind , always learning
If Israel gets up to purple belt and continues to keep up his bjj he is going to be unstoppable
That backspin move though...
Can never lose that dancer in the champ man💯👍
Izzy looking to master his game. Love it
Damn this must be so humbling to him. A real champ who isnt afraid to get his ass kicked to become the absolute best fighter. Props to izzy man, the work ethic is there.
So happy to see the champ training with Professor Galvao. Much respect to both of them and to the entire ATOS team. Oss.

It's amazing he has all these different skills. It's inspiring: it makes me want to do better. I'm just practicing jujitsu.
The respect Izz shows Galvao is remarkable, even apologized for a curse word immediately after. Funny how that makes me respect him even more.

My heart to you champ. You inspire me every day in every way.
Izzy is always learning from anyone willing to teach him something because you can never know too much in mma
Him having a background in dancing makes him crazy
I thought I was the only one that noticed!
The champ is now untouchable on the striking and ground game. Well Done!
Amazing, Israel Adesanya training at Atos, that's cool. Working on that ground game keeps a practitioner in the ready. Welcome to San Diego, California, Israel Adesanya
You gotta respect the guy for rolling with some of the best drop your ego and stay the champ that’s a bad boy!
Izzy needs alot of work on the ground, but damn he looks super dangerous with all that raw talent. Scary dude.

That beat is 🔥
That’s awesome. Open minded to learning.
Izzy definitely holds a lot of his size in his upper back and quads. I think that’s why he fools ppl who think he’s skinny and weak. That’s where the power comes from.
What I love the most is that as the one of the Best UFC fighter in the world he was humble enough to go out there @atos and credit to all the black belt of Atos. You treated him well, made it challenging enough for home to feel the difference of level and the long road ahead of him to become top level in BJJ. Nice videos, the fighting community wins. Oss

I never realized how big Israel is
After watching this I really can’t see anyone holding this guy down(in a ufc fight) maybe jones or dc...but he just worms his way out of anything it’s amazing
Great video!
I wonder how long he’s been a practitioner. He looks very fluent.
This is wonderful in every way
Damn you are everywhere I go lol
Not being able to fly home to NZ happened for a greater reason. Izzy, Brad and Carlos getting some quality training from some of the best!
that was some high intesity flow rolling. super smooth to watch as they didnt force anything they just went with the path of least resistance.
Imagine if this dude competes in ADCC one day!

Don’t get carried away here... Khabib maybe after one year of prep but Izzy basically has yet to build 95% of the skill set to compete in adcc...
What a silly comment
Khabib said hell stop fighting.. but he never said hell stop training. He should start coaching fighters alongside D.C.
