The Clouser Half & Half is a pattern that imitates baitfish with added flare. We've tied the Clouser Minnow in the past, but this pattern is tied with a twist. Great for freshwater Bass, Striped Bass, and just about any fish that'll eat a baitfish. The Clouser is most well-known as a saltwater pattern but works well in all situations. Watch Jared tie the Clouser Half & Half with step-by-step instructions and techniques explained.

I don't use mono thread for natural raw material... sometimes you need to put a little bit of pressure on it and the thread will break. So I like to use Danville Flat Waxed Nylon. Just a difference of my tying style... amazing tutorial pal! Thanks!

Is there a purpose to the mono, or just a personal preference? I love this fly for the night time walleye bite. I tie two colors, white/chartreuse, of course. But also a purple bottom/black top. I use 4 to 6 hackles on back. But l really like this color scheme and will try it. Sometimes the freshwater stripers won't let it get down to the walleye though. What a problem to have. 😂😂😂
