LV makes a limit of no more than 6 months after purchase for any cracking canvas, but general for manufacturing issues , no limit. They still take in items from previous years with item numbers which showed defects for that year of production for exchanges , refunds, and store credit.

I agree on the quality! It’s not how it used to. I recently sent my 1988 Noe to get the trim of the bag replaced. It is a 33 year old bag and the trim was just done. I actually kept a small piece of leather that fell off and when I got my bag back… oh man. The broken leather trim I kept is sooooo much thicker than the one used to repair my bag. The bag looks fine, but I was able to tell the difference 🤎💛

I had not thought about that concern of buying other luxury goods at stores like Saks and Neimans where they may not be trained to identify authentic bags. This is not really an issue for LV since they only sell in their own boutiques, even within department stores. But it does give me pause about brands like Saint Laurent that are sold at department stores.

Sadly I have to agree with you that the quality of the canvas appears to feel thinner these days as compared to the pieces I bought about 10-12 years ago, for example the monogram Neverful or even the agenda covers. The quality control seems to overlooking some glaring issues such as stitching, glazing, etc. Not sure what the reason for this is... too much pressure to roll out items to keep pace with demand 🤔. Whatever it may be, bad quality is inexcusable, especially when one is paying such a price for these items. I've actually started to mother my vintage bags more than ever and have grown to have a greater appreciation for them these days 😃. Have a great day 🥰
Fun video. The one about cutting off the LV logo has never made sense to me. Of course it would be cut off on some items due to the way the piece is made. I'd love to hear more about LV employee training. Seems like customers know more than they do sometimes. Also, I've heard of reward systems for some highly successful employees like trips to Paris to visit the LV factory there.
LOL, Back in the 90’s the flap of my then messenger bag got scorched by a lit votive,, it burned and melted about 40% of the flap.. Luckily LV was able to replace the whole front flap..
The whole idea behind burning bags or items is for the tax credit that is offered in certain countries in Europe. I think this tax credit has started to change since this is not environmentally friendly practice!
if u pay attention every year during the summer time LV always cut back with there canvas items and will get more in the fall time theyre never gonna get rid of canvas

It is true that Louis Vuitton used to have price decrease. I live in Toronto and bought the toiletry 26 back in 2016 for $510+tax, then a couple days after, the website price changed and price went DOWN to $490+tax. I was upset because LV doesn't go on sale nor have price decreases, which I am wrong about the price decrease and I experienced it!!. Of course I called the store and asked if they could honor the price online and was told they will adjust the price and will need a managers approval first and I will be contacted, but never heard back from them. I called the store again and spoke to another SA and I was advised that LV will NOT honor the $20 difference as they have to follow whatever price they have in system. Well it is what it is, I won't cry for $20, but I lost interest in LV after that and only used my toiletry 2x since 2016, I felt betrayed and deceived. And I couldn't exchange nor refund the item as I had 3 initials stamped on it already.

Just call LV customer service and ask to place order over the phone with them. I ordered recently neverfull mm and it came in 3 days, online still shows unavailable. Customer service can check inventory of each store and order for you.
