Julia (Fujimura Fellow and Board Member of IAMCultureCare) catches up after Mako and Haejin's travels to Japan and Taipei. They start the conversation with Mako's experience this year at Sundance Film Festival.
How do we keep our creativity alive while traveling, or being in a season of travels? What does it mean to say "we are created to be creative"? What is the relationship between solitary work of art and creation of communities?

It is so encouraging to hear you both speak about how even the time spent out of the studio still effects our art. As a soon to be dad I’ve been very anxious about how I will find time for my art in the midst of my new life, and hearing that time away from my sketchbooks and drawing table will still help me grow as an artist - and by proxy as a person and Christian - gives me a lot of peace. Very grateful for your words.
