@Rosacelia Magana: Please be very careful with the interpretation of the writings of Luisa P. by Doctor Thomassiny. He interprets literally and takes no advice whatsoever by any Theologian. Many people have left his explanations because of the confusion he creates. Me being one of them. I found Dr. Iannuzzi and the people (like this channel), and I have seen a huge difference. Dr. Thomassinny thinks wrongly that the Divine Will teachings have come to abolish all religious practices. I'm not telling you to drop him. Just be careful. Look up Father Joseph Iannuzzi.
Dr Tomassiny is excellent! In the DW, it is even more important to fast, especially during Lent, and to pray the Rosary. The reason is that your prayers and sacrifices are even more effective in the DW and it would be a pity if you did not use the DW in this way. You can ask yourself - did Jesus fast? God blesd.

Fr Iannuzzi and Fr Celso are solid sources as mentioned above.
The USCCB has set the age range for fasting between 18 and 59. But, the primary driver should be health regardless of age. Also, if unable to fast, abstinence should be a practice available to everyone. God bless.
