    I started taking LDN in 2011, when I was first diagnosed with Ms. I was an avid runner, weight lifter, because of MS, I lost those abilities plus fatigue and brain fog was very debilitating. Luckily I started taking LDN within a year after diagnosis. Those symptoms went away in 6 weeks and I've never had a relapse since! Now 2022.

    I have been taking LDN for 4 weeks now at a very small dose 0.5 ml gradually working my way up. I've had major chronic fatigue for 16 years with no help from the medical community. The first thing I noticed because I sleep with a sleep apnea machine. I went from sleeping 4 and 1/2 hours a night to sleeping seven and a half hours a night no waking up in between. I've had no adverse side effects.

      I hate to be nosy but I wondered if you've been taking pain medications prior to this and if so how many days did you stop taking pain medication before starting LDN?

    In other words it's an immune modulator. I take it for mast cell disorder which causes very high histamine levels and that in turn was causing urticaria when I would eat certain foods. At .75mg it definitely works, but it nearly wipes me out the next day. Been on it for 8 weeks trying different dosages and still can't shake the fatigue it causes the next day.

      call compounding pharmacies that make it for info and get info on CZcams then presented to your doctor. I had to call the pharmacist back and I relayed his prescription instructions to my doctor while in the exam room.or there are doctors online that will prescribe it and pharmacies that will fill it online.

    • @HenrikFlyman
      @HenrikFlyman Před 4 lety +5

      "Why is not ldn aproved for ms?" No one earns patent money from it anymore (it's too old) and therefore it's not profitable. It works extremely well, but not that easy to get access to because of initially mentioned reason. It is actively kept from patients, but some doctors do their best to provide it, despite being targeted by the industry for doing so. It doesn't cure the disease (neither do the approved drugs), but can take away most of the symptoms and relapses as long as you use it. No, to minor, side effects. Cheap. Research it further. You won't regret that you did.

      Luckily big pharma doesn't have its hands on LDN because now it's affordable! SKIPS pharmacy in Florida compounds LDN. Only $95 for 3 months with a Dr script.

    What about patients who have been on long term pain meds like Tramadol? What effects would switching to low dose Naltrexone have on the system? I imagine there would have to be a period where the patient takes nothing....before beginning LDN.

      @Metaphoria_Music Před 5 lety +2

      I used tramadol 1-2 times a week, and went without for probably two weeks before I started. But since I used it so rarely I could probably start earlier. I've only used it for a month (neurological borreliosis/lyme & ME) and I can already tell that it is helping. Especially with fatigue.

      I have read where one paper said to wait at least seven days without any opioids to prevent any abdominal discomfort and then I read today that to wait two weeks prior to starting it. I took 6 tramacet a day for many years. Did not stop at all before taking LDNand I've had amazing results in this past 3 weeks. More pain relief than I've ever gotten from anyting! I have even taken a couple of tramacet since starting LDNjust to see if it would cause adverse reaction or if it would just not help at all and to my surprise it actually still helps. I have found by talking in different forms and being on different LDN research groups and so on other people have experienced this as well specifically with tramacet

      I like morning dose because I’ll get a mild endorphin / energy boost in late afternoons which helps with ending work and putting kids to bed. If that happened while I sleepy it would seem like a waste. Though, this effect has faded after I’ve been on it for many months. It’s still working to ameliorate my auto immune body flairs.
