    Luke 2: 8 - 10
There were shepherds in the land staying in the field, and keeping watch by night over their flock. And look, an angel of the Lord stood by them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. The angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for see, I bring you good news of great joy which will be to all the people. For there is born to you, this day, in the city of David, a Savior, who is the Messiah, the Lord. This is the sign to you: you will find a baby wrapped in strips of cloth, lying in a feeding trough.”
Suddenly, there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward humankind.”
The night wind said to the little lamb:
Do you see what I see
Way up in the sky little lamb
Do you see what I see
    A star, a star
    Dancing in the night
With a tail as big as a kite
Said the little lamb to the shepherd boy
who of us have no heard these beautiful song words written during the Cuban missile crisis; These words were written as a plea for peace to become one of Christmas great carols. Here we have to reflect on the words of the Angels to the Shepherds
Glory to God in the highest heaven,
“Heaven took the strain of glory”
    and on earth peace
    “Earth echoed it as peace”
to those on whom his favor rests.
“It fell on the ears and hearts of men as good pleasure”
This Tris Hagion, the three blasts symbolically proclaimed the kingdom of God, the providence of God and the final judgment usually sang by Temple choir from psalms when sacrifice was laid on the altar.
Jesus our sacrifice; at birth was laid in the manger which symbolise the sacrificial altar.
As we pass from the sacred gloom of the cave where Jesus was born into the night, its sky all aglow with starry brightness, its silence made vocal from heaven.
