Hi lovely video, loads of detail, next year my husband and myself are booked on Virtuoso and it will be his birthday while we are on it, I would love to book Teppanyaki as a surprise for him but I don’t eat any fish myself, my husband does and really likes it, I’m just wondering if I could swap out the fish for beef and chicken for myself but my husband could still have the fish, thank you in advance
TYVM! So were you paying Yacht Club Prices, i.e. were you in the ship-within-ship? Maybe I have been influenced by too many videos about MSC and their food, but that does seem a bit expensive for MSC food. It would probably be great, but I still think it might be safer to not have MSC at the top of my list considering there currently are far more cruises to try than time and pandemics will allow.
We were not staying in the YC but we had guest passes so we could try out the experience during the day, including sampling the dining options. Yes, it IS expensive to do premium dining but this is nothing new as far as MSC is concerned. :)
I always follow your videos. this is my first comment. I have also tried msc and I agree with you that the prices can sometimes seem a bit high. Are you planning a trip with Costa cruises? Although it may have fewer specialty restaurants, I can assure you that it is worth it.

I think the price of the basic MSC cruise is lower than other cruise lines but their onboard extra charge options are always higher. I like them anyway.
For a long time MSC was panned for being to Italian in it's food. Now it looks like it's gone the other way, I would argue way to far the other way. I mean, who puts cheddar on a Caesar salad ???? The Mexican food looks okay, but nothing great. At some point Helen and yourself are going to have to come over to Vegas, we will take you guys for a Mexican meal that will blow your mind. The gelato looks great, when we are in Italy it is an every meal thing for us.
The package was for three meals. A one time only deal. You pay for the restaurants as you use them. Once you’ve spent your three, that’s it. Hope that makes sense. Thanks for watching. 🙂

You said in one of your videos you ordered a meal and could only eat half of it .Why didn't you order what you could eat I have been on many cruises and have never taken more than I could eat There is nothing worse than people overloading their plates and have no chance of eating what they choose.
@@mikeymjh We totally agree qbout portion size and food waste, but when you order a dish, you don't know how big it's going to be when it arrives. It's not a case of 'taking more than you can eat' (which I find totally irresponsible) it's more a case of not knowing how much when you order. Makes sense?

Msc Complementary dining is EXTORTIONATE. If you want the same meal, eat lunch in a restaurant on land in Italy or Spain for less p.p . I can eat an identical meal here in my home Spain (I'm an ex-pat) with a bottle of wine and water, coffees and liqueurs- for less than That! Plus - Those "Tapas" are not Spanish..looks like a Mexican cantina. ...NADA like real Tapas. I would rather eat on land as now there's no obligation to do cruise "bubble excursions " now. So research your land visit eateries..and treat yourself.

Worst cruise ever done! Queues for buffet, queues for dining, queues for kids club, queues for ropes. Not enough staff on board, too many people, pool packed, hot tubs heaving. Good poor, except speciality. Shows cost extra. 25 cruises this was the worst and to top it all we came off with covid!
Urgh. Sorry to hear about all that. That was not our experience, although we weren't sailing anywhere near full. Still, this is a video about the Premium Dining so I can't comment on the overall experience as it is not the topic of the video. Have sailed on Preziosa and Musica. Had no problems. Thoroughly enjoyable. And very inexpensive I though. I'm a pre book, prepay as much as possible BEFORE I go anywhere
You’re right, not everyone can afford to experience premium dining. But those that can or want to at least try one, this video is for them. We’ll produced videos look like ads? That’s the price we occasionally pay for putting out decent videos. 🙂

That's right Aimee. The base price is reasonable but start adding the extras and things can get a little out of hand... :)

Way too many up-cost dining venues IMO. Street food "specialty dining"?????? Food looks good but sure shouldn't cost extra.
