Alaska Airlines typically offers meals in First Class. That was my experience on a recent two-hour flight from Seattle to San Diego.
Yes I believe with first class you do get meals regardless, thank you for the information and update!
Great! I'm 5'10 and usually have to pay more for comfort plus because I NEED leg room.

Hi, great info,thanks a lot! So I can buy the extra check in baggage at the check in counter or online in advance? (I could not see anything online to choose from) Obviously that is crucial since the first class tickets are way more expensive.
Yes you can do it on the counter when it is time to check in!
You’re only entitled to one checked bag for free if you’re flying to or from Alaska and if you are a member of 49 club. You must be in Alaska State resident to qualify for 49 club.

Did you forget to mention about the premium economy seats? Alaska has it on all Boeing and Air bus aircraft.

Thanks for watching, i could not speak on first class as I did not stay in first class. In our trip they did not offer a meal but just snacks
Since flying saver you can’t choose your seats, were you guys able to sit together? I’m going to be flying with a family of four don’t know if upgrading to main is worth it.
Thank you so much for checking out my video and watching it. We booked saver, took 4 flights with them this trip and, all sat next to each other. So actually with Saver you have a "limited" seat selection which means you can select certain seats together, but it is a limited, smaller range of seats that are available to you compared to other tiers. Ultimately, we were able to sit together. When you go to book the ticket, you can see what seats are available/if there are four seats together in the limited Saver option. If that's unavailable, then I would upgrade.
What I did is after I book the saver tier, I talk to a rep over live chat and asked to pick my seats and it was done!

What are the dimensions of the backpacks you guys used as personal items? I have a Beis mini weekender and I just can’t decide if it’s too big. I believe it’s roughly 16x16x8. It was ok on a Southwest flight, but I have never flown Alaska Air.
I was researching the size for my flight also, the personal bag size are 18x14x8=40 linear
On my experience alaska never checked to see if the bag does fit in the personal item. I usually just take my bag off and put it in the overhead space
Does Alaska Air strict on the carry size ? Do they make people put the luggage to see if fit? I bought a new luggage but it is bigger than the 45 linear (22x14x9), mine is around 47.5 linear. So you think it’s ok or they will make me check in my carryon?
From my experience no. They didn’t ask or check my bagggage with anything

I do not travel with a checked bag so I am not sure based on my experience. However, you can purchase it at the time of the booking or usually it is more expensive at the airport

If it is a bookbag you should not have a problem but I am not exactly sure with a carry on
How strict were they with your carry on, what was yours?
My bag was bigger than the personal item size however, i had no problems with it there.

Yes you can have both!
Can you take a backpack as a personal item?
Technically it depends on the size of the bookbag. But as I've shown in the video I took mine and had no problems.

Yes In all 3 tiers you get a personal item and a carryon included
Seriously! I have a different view. We went to visit our son , who had moved there a year ago. Very disappointed. We paid a tremendous amount for a tickets. We live on a fixed income. Extremely tight. I was taken back when they told us we had to share a small coke. You give less, and expect more. Not happy!

So sorry to hear about your experience. I appreciate the comment that you left on my video as well. I can only speak on the experience that I had on my two flights. Being objective, its not Alaska's fault that all the ticket prices right now are ridiculous. Its every single airline. All airlines are trying to get all the money back they lost during covid which is horrible
@@Holabella I hate when airlines do that and take away the screens. American Airlines does it as well and I wish they just kept the screens instead of using my phone
We live in a world and we live a life Not Perfect., After flying for over 4 decades, I've trying several airlines that take me to & bring me from wherever I go, locally & internationally
From a group of 6 different airlines that I've being used
Only 2 airlines was the best for me & my family.
*Mexicana and Alaska*
Unfortunately 1, No longer exist.,but It's coming back to business in a short time
I'm glad Alaska still flying to Mexico, but we need more than 1 or 2 Dally direct flights.
A flight every 4 or 6 hrs. it'll be Fine, for Not to live & arrive Too late or Too early.
That's my Only issue for Alaska Airlines flying to Mexico. "Hello Alaska"
If people do not choose Alaska when flying to MX, is because It Only has 1:or 2 flight Schedules Dally.
Specially for families when taking elders & or infants.
Yes I've chosen Other airlines when budget is an issue,., but Then Again,,, Good Service is my Priority

Never use usb ports that are not in your own home.
It's always important to prioritize your safety and security when using USB ports, especially ones that are not in your own home. Better safe than sorry!
