    Best, most efficient way to fix a lift cord. Everyone else should take down their videos. Thank you!

    Thank you so much! I just finished the project. Only issue I had was that the "splice" gave way inside the rail on the 2nd one. Fortunately, I popped just one half the blind and was able to see where to thread it. Thanks again!

    Useful - thanks! Would it have been better to do the bottom first and then sort out the length of the toggle end afterwards maybe?

      Hi, Rhod. Sorry but I'm not sure what you mean. I appreciate your input though.

      @@Fixitforgetit Hi - it's only a detail but what I mean is that after you've run the cord through, instead of working on the toggle end, leave that end long, knot the other (bottom) end, close the plug and THEN cut the toggle end to length. Hope that makes sense.

    John, on the mini blind restring is critical that I replace the cord with the same millimeter? My broken string is 1.2 and I can only find the right color in 1.0 millimeter. Will that work?
    Thanks

      @Fixitforgetit  Před 10 měsíci

      Hi, Gerald. Unfortunately, I'm not sure what will work on your blind because my blinds are the only ones I have ever worked on. I used a 1.8mm Polyester cord which is slightly smaller than my original cord and it worked. It is important to use a polyester cord or it may wear out prematurely. This is the cord I used. amzn.to/3jueZ4g Good luck with your repair.
