Torches are not awful weapons. They are not weapons at all!

I’d argue it’s a club on fire. Mans original 2 weapons
Torches get block perks and fire destruction spell perks. And anyone who knows this can break the game with them.
Plus, shield charging with a torch looks goofy.

You don't have to fight the bandit outlaw in Bleak Falls Barrow. If you stay back and sneak, the outlaw will fail the puzzle in the room and get one-shot by the trap arrows.
It was more of a DPS check to see how I would fair against higher HP foes.

It's pretty fun, I did it with a lantern instead when I did this. Mostly because I was tired of having to remember to either carry more or re-equip every five minutes.

Would have recommended you play as a red guard since they have an ability that increases their stamina regeneration... but you did.

I played Skyrim and all modern fallout games with the challenge "companions only" where I cannot do any damage. It's either extremely hard and you run out of followers or extra easy as in the case of fallout 4. Sometimes you need to make exceptions tho. Very entertaining can recommend

If I remember correctly there is a somewhat unique torch that casts dynamic shadows and I think has no time limit.

Basically you play a support role for the true hero, but, you can keep the credit with you being a fancy Dragonborn and all, but otherwise stand back, and let the main man do his thing. you can cast spells and all that, just try to avoid direct combat and leave the work to your follower
