Great collection....its good when you see a lot of 'one' part of a collection together. Interesting that you got some stuff from car boot sales. I genuinely thought that after the pandemic the car boots would be bursting with all things militaria....not round here...I've been to several over the last year or so and they've all been a waste of time....don't know why that is...in fact all I've bought from my last 3 car boot visits was a ww2 south african helmet shell, a pair or repro HJ enamel badges, a ceramic head (helmet display) and a one foot long piece of old railway line!.....not good pickings up north 😊

Hi Stan yes there is always something at the car boot sales round here, I have picked up a few bits over the years but I know other people who found some great stuff locally including lots German binoculars and even a kriegsmarine officers dagger and that was very recent.

@@Blitz1944 wow that's great....without being snobbish...well to myself I suppose 🤣🤣, it might be something to do with the financial situation for people up north compared with the south of England. The big vintage car shows and military shows seem to be more common in the south and that's understandable.....I've seen some right 'characters' at car boots round here sifting through all sorts of rubbish for not a lot of money. In saying that north Yorkshire is quite affluent and that's reflected in the car boots and markets in the area....I might be wrong but you get my drift?....cheers 🙂

Hi Stan yes you normally only find this stuff at car boot sales that are in the country side here, if you go to the ones near towns you want find much, just rubbish.
