Lizzie is such an asset to the crew

Nice
Nice
Lizzie did not break it. She helped you by pointing out a obvious weak spot.
Exactly 😊
By breaking it.
If you bought a good tape you could bend it all you want. Crescent Lufkin Shockforce is what I rock. No bends no delams
Use electric over hydraulic pump out of a moni cooper for the steering.. you get a better feel of the trail
It failed the quality control process.
Watching Lizzy working on the Jeep repair you can see her attention to learning that task. She is such a wonderful asset to the company. Tom has really found his groove in the shop. He’s a welder, machinist, mechanic and professional in his work. Great content Matt and company.
once this build is done you should have the editing team build a time lapse of the entire build start to finish. That would be something to see
ok
ok
Couldn't agree more, it'd be epic.
That would be hard without the same camera angle.
@Xploration not necessarily. A good editor could just time lapse all their clips from different vids together without it looking all that bad
As a welder and builder for over 40 years it's been enjoyable watching Lizzie's welding skills develop. Stuff you don't learn at school but on the job.
As someone who knows nothing about welding, I'd love to hear what you see in these welds today that demonstrate what you're talking about.
@@andrewaldridge1413 There's 1000s of welding videos on CZcams.
@@andrewaldridge1413 A good weld is mostly obvious just by looking at it, and most of Lizzy's welds look to be excellent. Not all of them though. The steel plate welded to the axle @11:38 for instance, but I assume that the axle case is cast iron, which makes things more difficult. Some of her multi pass welds need some work, but on the whole, she does really nice work.
You can learn welding at school though, it's just that most don't. I know some people at my school did.
@@Milamberinx It is also very possible to teach yourself. After a couple of failed attempts I can weld satisfying myself for my stuff. Just got to man up and try it. Welders are cheap on Craigslist.
I really like the addition of TomTom to full time status. It feels like you'll be able to get so much more fab work done. Great progress guys!
I agree, TomTom made the obvious observation that welding back together of broken steering components is a terrible idea. But hey, the show must go on
and he seems a lot more comfortable on camera now too.
My question would be is, how long is he going to be a backseat to Matt and his fly by wire attitude which is what’s made the show he is a great fabricator and engineer, but they have different mind mentalities. I believe he is a great addition when it comes to building projects but he’s more of a blueprint and paper type of guy Matt’s more of a crayon, and scissors kind of guy. Definitely will be interesting to see how it plays out.
I liked him better before he became a professional YT side-kick. He seems much less genuine now.
This whole project is nothing short of amazing. Who builds their own heavy wrecker from the ground up? This stuff is supposed to happen within the engineering departments of major manufacturing companies. Not in a "Ma and Pa" off road recovery company in rural Utah. I am utterly flabbergasted! How do you learn all this 'stuff' ( cleaning it up for family consumption) in the the school of hard knocks? Matt is amazing, not only in his natural problem-solving ability and creative-thinking skills, but in his management and leadership skills as well. This whole channel is emblematic of what makes America great. And Lizzy!!! She is every father's dream of the perfect daughter. Hard working, beautiful, humble, skilled, willing to learn and cheerful. There is something magical about your team. There is a balanced blending of self-confidence, competence, humility, and pride that that makes us all respect and admire what you do. Keep up the good work!
St George is 1/2 the population of Salt Lake City. Right around 100k in people. It is a small city.
@@buckmanriver if we are splitting hairs then MORR isn’t in Saint George, it’s in Hurricane, a pretty small town.
I agree about Lizzy too! I'd love to have a girl like her--she has everything I like in a girl: hard-working, willing to learn, adventurous (enjoys all the hair-raising rides to and from recoveries), humble, and cheerful. (and beautiful too, but in my book, beauty comes from within mostly, and is sometimes on the outside too!)
My friend's father own a small towing company, Little Heaven Towing, here in Delaware and built a monster truck from the ground up. First, he bought a used one, then built another. The second one is a fire truck, using the body of a retired fire truck from the local volunteer company that we were members of.
The collective ability in this shop is greater than the sum of its single parts; Matt's brain doing one million miles an hour, conceptualising and visualising, then turning it into reality, Tom-Tom brings an awesome array of talents to the shop and every guy's adopted daughter, Lizzy, who could weld the Sydney Harbour Bridge if she was asked to do so! Amazing.
Love seeing Tom Tom as part of the crew now. He's like the adult supervision you didn't need and I get a kick out of watching him react to the decision process!
like spook thats not logical
I feel like Tom is this channel’s Ben 😂
I agree. But, all the backyard-mechanic stuff that's cute and funny today will eventually wear him out. The rolled-eyes and a chuckle eventually becomes just rolled-eyes and then, finally, "I can't work like this anymore!" I hope I'm wrong
@@67L48 we all have our motivations for doing something. I see plenty of respect for him in the whole team, and he gets a chance to work in cool projects. Hopefully a win-win that keeps everyone satisfied.
Yes, I really like Tom Tom! He is the best of them all.
I love Tom. He seems like such a pleasant person to be around. It is nice to have his knowledge as well to go along with the crew. He’s a keeper.
Definitely a keeper.
Its awesome to see how Lizzie has progressed as a welder. Her work is noticeably better now! Good job!
Are you serious. Her welding has gotten progressively worse. Absolute garbage
@@trinkladd Why would you say that? It's a fact that the more you Weld the better you become. So now, why would you feel so compelled to come on here and outright LIE like this? Are you jealous of her accomplishments?
@@mritron7649 I have worked with many welders who had years of experience but plateaued in their ability. Give her the credit she has earned.
@@chrisallen2005 I was responding to the other guy that was bashing her welding ability. Not sure if that other negative comment was removed or what I don't see it anymore.
Not going to comment on her welding ability, but the comment section for this channel has a weird infatuation with Lizzy. Makes me uncomfortable sometimes.
Tom is an awesome addition to the MOR Team...way to go Matt or whoever got him to move down from Idaho and join you if it wasn't mainly his idea. Tom...just be you and do what you do. Don't be afraid to show us your intelligence, the engineer in you, your playfulness, your sense of humor and your sarcasm. It is obvious from the comments that people already love you being a permanent part of the MOR channel and Team. GO TOM! ;)
I completely agree. He brings years of experience (other than being Matt’s brother).
Oh and, MORR
IMHO Lizzy has become one heck of a welder. Straight & true.
I agree ! A skilled welder and vagina owner !
I was told female weld better
She seems like such a fine young lady... hard worker, funny, etc.
But is she certified? If not she can get certified. Is anybody in Matt’s garage a certified welder? Just wondering
@@USAMontanan
Probably not. I highly doubt it would matter either way. I am a weld inspector as well.
Definitely hydraulic on the steering, oh and great work to the whole crew.
It is fun watching Lizzy weld like a seasoned pro. good stuff. Tom Tom is a great addition also.
Lizzie already said she want's to learn Tig Welding, and Tom Tom can teach her.
ok
ok
I recommend you use hydraulic instead of air. It might turn faster with air, but if you get in a tight spot and your traction is on the sides of the tire, you won’t have the air pressure required to turn them. When Air pressure gets too high it becomes very dangerous. As an engineer who tests composite vessels for an aerospace company, we never use air to test case strength, we use water, liquids are incompressible so you can generate high pressure and when the case fails the damaged sections don’t become projectiles, unlike what happens if we use air. Think of like a spring, the fluid is like a short but very stiff spring and air is like a large, long spring. When the hydraulic spring at 1000 psi releases it only moves a short distance, when the air spring releases it moves a long way and carries any broken parts with it. We call that a bomb.
You cannot call yourself an off-roader until you break a u-joint. Congratulations Lizzie!
My XJ with 31s does not want to break them. 😁
@@V8AmericanMuscleCar You'll get there. I have faith in you.
@@badwolf01 😅 I know I will, it's just a matter of time.
The tires turning is some kinda Frankenstein moment! Pretty cool to see! Well done everyone!
I remember first seeing Tom Tom as the cook on the great adventure to recover the Golden Nugget. Mistakenly, I thought that was all he could do back then, but no more. He has many skills and a great addition to the MORR team.
GOOD LUCK with that Monster Transmission!!! It's not gonna last, let alone work right from the start.
Great episode, those ram plates look AWESOME and Lizzie did a great job welding them in. Can't wait to see the Wrecker drive under its own power. Hydraulic steering is my vote.
Mine too.Pneumatic will allow the tires to push in directions you aren't trying for as air compresses and fluid won't.
Awesome channel, great videos.
OK so I would definitely choose hydraulic because it is more positive and direct than Air ( hydraulic is an incompressible fluid so it has a rock solid feel).
Also because Hydraulic does not compress like air, it is much SAFER (albeit more messy) as there is very little kinetic or rather potentential energy stored when hydraulic is under pressure, notwithstanding a whipping hose broken at the pump.
High pressure compressed Air has so much stored energy that it can be a destructive Bomb, and also a squishy steering response. There are many arguments in favour of compressed air I'm sure, but they are not as compelling as the arguments in favour of hydraulic.
Just some food for thought. 😃
Wise Guy Matt was pulling our leg(s)....., and I fell for it..., he never ever was going pneumatic. Next he will ask if he should weld or glue 😂
I don't know how the hell you figured all that stuff out and got it to fit together. I am really impressed.
Matt's off road recovery Team is Awesome
The new plates will be great camera mounts so you can see the tire paths under that monster when needed.I suggested cameras on ' remote mirror mounts' so they can be aimed when going over steep rises, front and rear on Paul's truck too.
Thanks Tom Tom we love you we're going to get five times as many videos from Matt's off-road recovery because having you on the team gets things done five times quicker ♥️ you work so hard you've earned it here's a little treat 🍪 a fresh home baked cookie 🤤 🤣
Love the ammo boxes on the trailer. Cheap, easy to install, and can be readily replaced when they get messed up. Brilliant!
That is what I use on all of my trailers. They are also waterproof.
Air won't work worth a darn. It's much to compressible. Under heavy resistance it would compress instead of moving the ram. If it finally moves the ram it would move all at once. Would be impossible to control. Hydraulic is not compressible and gives a more positive response on the ram.
Awesome job EVERYONE!!! Matt and Tom... it's a good thing you guys know what to do on the transmission and transfer case gear stuff!!! I don't have a clue!! Lizzy: I'm impressed with your welding skills!! For no longer than you've been welding you are learning very well!! Years ago I ran a welding department for company that manufactured Aircraft de-icing trucks (Trump, Inc. out of Plattsmouth NE). We built all the body, framework and on the top we had a 40' aerial bucket that we made in house out of raw steel. I would have been proud to have you as one of my welders!!
I love seeing Tom Tom in the shop working hard with you guys! It was always great when he made guest appearances, but it’s awesome now that he is now a regular cast member!! Cheers!
I love watching Lizzie do her welding thing. She is really good at laying down beautiful beads.
Nice T-case doubler setup!! Has to be hydraulic steering if you want to turn at all!! Need that higher pressure!!😃
Love watching your videos here and on facebook. As a specialist in pneumatic and hydraulic systems for the last 15 years I would definitely suggest using a hydraulic system for your steering. Hydraulic systems are solid where even the best pneumatic systems are spongy. Considering the weight and possible extreme conditions this vehicle may be exposed to, and the bullet proof nature of the build Hydraulic would be my choice.
Hello Team MORR, greetings from Mexicali, Mexico. This heavy wrecker build is amazing. I'd go with hydraulic steering as I believe it would be more predictable, especially for little steering inputs back and forth when in the trails. I remember long ago in school that liquid (in this case hydraulic oil) compresses nothing if compared to air. Just install a nice big oil cooler. I used to go off road often in my younger days here in Baja. Throughout 20 years I had 4 nice XJ's, nothing too fancy just a 3" lift and 32s, everything else stock. Now I am trapped in the 9am to 5pm grind. However I have been building my 5th XJ for some time now this time is a 1998 with long arms in the front, 32s. Next to come 4.10 gears and No-Slip Autolockers front and rear. This one is for taking my 3 kids offroad, hopefully I will manage to pass on the hobby to the next generation. Best regards.
No shade throwing on Lizzie! She's one of my favorites on the channel! Watching her do things like bending steel tapes around is the reason a lot of ppl tune in! 🙂
I remember when she was the new kid hanging around the shop. Matt might want to start thinking about retirement, because Lizzy is taking over!
@@avlisk As the months go by Lizzie is getting more masculine--too bad because its sad when any woman goes butch. Man hands don't belong on a nice woman.
I agree one hundred percent 🤗
Lizzie is a real 🌟 star on the show ✨👍
It's nice to see someone push on like Lizzy has done - gathering skills on so many traditionally "manly" areas of work.
Tom Tom is a great addition to the team; great skills. And Lizzy lays down some pretty welds!
I love it..when a ClarkSaurus plan comes together !
Smells like…
We’ll Get’m Out !
Hydraulic! Full left or full right will be the only "solid" position due to air cushion. Sidehilling would be dicey at best, rough terrain would have them unpredictably steering/wandering side to side following ruts and contours etc. Road driving could be a terrifying fluttering feedback loop when hitting bumps.
Also, setting up a selector valve to enable/disable 4 wheel steering becomes very simple with the front being a hydraulic system already:)
That Lizzy amazes me. She has become a really good welder and, usually looks like she’s a joy to be around. Oh, and she’s still working there, for now anyway. I enjoy watching these build videos a lot. It makes it far more exciting because the rides you work on are a bit unusual. The Morvair is simply a very cool car, and I don’t think anyone, anywhere would have thought to build a car like that. Same with the tow truck. The things you’ve done are bitch’n, but when the cab is on the truck, it’s just a cool ride.
the suspense of waiting on the wrecker to be finshed is killing me
Well, I'm an old Hemi nut myself. What a great old truck. I have a 66 D-600 firetruck myself. Anyway, I have also owned a few first gen Hemi's myself. I like the guy in the video. And by no means a know it all. I love to learn about this old iron. I do know that Chrysler, Dodge, and Desoto all used the Hemis. And I do know they were all their own design. I guess what I'm saying is. I'm surprised that a Chrysler Hemi is in a Dodge truck. Unless under heavy-duty units. They crossed that line. Well, we live and learn. Very cool project, Oh and I'm an old pipe liner myself, an Operator by trade. Carry on brother.
I dunno if there's a reason why Matt doesn't do this but if you mount a winch as low as possible on a trailer you can run the winch rope underneath whatever you're loading to pull it further onto the trailer.
Granted, there's going to be times when, perhaps, you need the winch attached to the front so you can control a damaged front-end but, even so, you can pull the vehicle onto the trailer from the front and then unhook the winch, run the cable underneath the vehicle, attach the hook at the back and pull it another couple of feet.
You've built one hell of a team on your channel, Matt! Keep them happy and keep these awesome videos coming.
He had a hell of a team before too

I’m thinking hydraulic steering! Lizzy is amazing, don’t ever lose her Matt! Thanks for sharing Matt and crew!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👌🏻🤙🏻🙏🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Hey Matt, this might be a corny suggestion but here goes,
have you ever thought of fabricating a universal tie rod that fits both UTVs and side-by-sides? On many of your recoveries, I've noticed that these were the only things broken otherwise the vehicle would still be drivable, If you carried these in the banana or the morvair as part of your recovery kit, it would help to recover these vehicles in trails not accessible to trailers.
I like this idea. Can be a sloppy-fit eyebolt type thing, or even a large eye-bolt type thing with internal sleeve adapters.
@@josephvanwanzeele5125 exactly, it don't have to be perfect as long as it steers and keep the wheels straight.
You're kidding right?? Matt doesn't even carry a spare tire, a jack or an air compressor. Or even a jacket.

Welcome to the Lizzie, Matt, and Tom show! Missing the humor of Trevor and the heart that the buff 4 Runner guy brought.
First Lizzy breaks the Banana, then you call her out for bending the tape! You’re lucky she still welded the hell outta everything lol 😂 such a great family-like team you have.
Matt you have the build blueprint in your head, pretty awesome. Tom Tom is very knowledgeable and can do all kinds of stuff, and Lizzy, nothing like a good looking awesome female welder! Great job guys!!!
Lizzie starting to get on point with the welder. Stackin dimes these days. Didn’t used to look like that but no first timers ever does. Glad to see you excelling hun! Bigger part of MOR than you know.❤❤
Hydraulic will be faster, far more precise and require less maintenance in cold weather (not running methylene in the air lines and cleaning out moisture straps etc) but obviously if you spring a leak out on the trail, air hose is easier to fix than hydraulic. I'd say hydraulic, but I'm not the one fixing it or buying the oil :)
Also, Lizzy, you're one heck of a fabricator, as are you Tom Tom. You're all upping your game with this wrecker build. Welding is something that I really do want to get into, at some point in the near future. I've always been an electronics and soldering guy. I also design and 3D print things. But there is so much more I could do for a whole host of projects in my head if I teach myself how to weld
I love watching this show because you guys knows so much about so many things when it comes to engines building cars building trucks etc. I’m super impressed!

Looks like Tom is a great addition to the team.
Having Tom Tom there makes me feel way more comfortable with the builds 😄 Great addition to the team
Greetings, It has been interesting watching this off road wrecker come together. You have done a great job of building it from the ground up. Also like the previous comments, Lizzie is doing a great job welding. However, I have noticed that all vertical welds are being welded downhill which does not get as good of penetration as you get from welding uphill. I have welded structural steel and just about everything under the sun and we never weld vertical welds downhill. I don't know about the requirements of your state for vehicle inspection to certify a wrecker for use on the highway. But I do know that if the welds are inspected on the frame and they see that they go downhill you may not pass inspection, if they even look at that. If there is an accident and the welds are determined to be the cause of the accident then you could end up facing considerable financial trouble. When I worked as a Carman I and II for the railroad I had to stamp my work with my initials and if my welds failed later I would be held responsible for any damage to life and property.
Ed looks so proud watching Lizzy weld. so sweet.
Matt you are quite the engineer. You must stay up all night going through this build in your head, probably don't get any sleep.😃
He's so good, he does it all in his sleep 😎
Fabricator* not an engineer unless he has the degree :)
He's a little rough, but he gets the job done, which is more important than it been perfect. Example that steering ram needs to be posistioned specifically so the axis of the turn radius of the inside and outside wheels intersect at one point with the axis of the rear wheels. it is impossible that this is right as the ram was positioned by mounting the bracket 6.5 in from the chassis and at whatever distance forward. This will chomp out the tyres much quicker and cause poorer road holding BUT, it's close to running and earning money, which is the actual goal, not being a perfectly engineered vehicle.
@@kingcosworth2643 This may work out in their favour because they may have the rear steer turn a tighter radius making trailering and towed vehicles track near the same footprint as the wrecker!
The wrecker is AWSOME! Great job guys!
You do what you do for a living your bound to break stuff. I do enjoy your videos and the knowledge you teach your crew and your viewers as well.
Daaaang can that girl lay down a pretty bead. That long bead is ART, Lizzie. 😃👍
I am amazed how much Lizzy's welding has improved over time.....she has become quite a welder
I discovered your channel about 2 weeks ago. I've binged about 100 videos so far and really falling in love with the team and the work you all do in the shop and on the trail. I can't put to words how excellent it is that you put so much love into your machines, build and fabricate what you do in house, for the work on the trail. This is what I do for my work as well (radio tower engineering). Don't be afraid to go more in depth and technical on your shop work, we gobble that up. Your team is fantastic all around, Lizzy makes some exceptional welds. Time for a weld off between Tom and Liz?
Radio Towers huh? You working with Trevor?
@@marvindebot3264 I run a Wireless ISP (WISP) in Colorado. Lots of adventuring to mountain tops year round. We fabricate and maintain all our towers and equipment that grants access to them. Much like MORR for their work.
@@enderdragoon I assume that job has its' ups and downs (same as any other), but at the end of the day that seems like a job where a lot of memories are made aka a lot of fun!
I agree with you on the in depth detail of fabrication. That to me is the more interesting part of the build. The end product is great to see but the process to get there is the best part.
All the blingy parts are going on now!👍😎
A learning exercise for axles, progress on the trailer and more progress on the wrecker. Lizzie the legend always impresses, lol. Thanks guys.
I think with hydraulic it is easier to control and it won’t compress like air and cause issues with resistance on the wheels out on the trail.
I'd recommend a Noco Genius 2D onboard battery maintainer for the trailer so the winch battery is always ready to go. Best $40 I've spent on keeping motorcycles, mowers and other infrequently used things charged.
The 7 pin plug has a dedicated 12v power supply wire for charging batteries. As long as the trailer is hitched up, the battery is charging.
@@jacobg5122 That only works when the trailer is hitched up. Most of the time, it's sitting in the yard...
@@AndrewAMartinWhen the trailer is used to transport recovered vehicles, it will spend some time hitched being towed to the recovery site.
@@AndrewAMartin
It's not being used when it's not hitched up. I have a trailer with a winch and a battery and I've never once had a problem with the battery being dead.
Why do comments have to devolve into an argument and pissing contest. I made a recommendation to MORR, they can (if they even see this) do with it as they want.
If I recall from earlier videos, they used the jump boxes for power because they stayed in the shop charged up.
I use and recommend the NOCO because it is waterproof, it stays with the vehicle and stays connected to the battery all the time, you just have to plug in an extension cord.
But hey, if your battery is always charged and stays towed long and often enough for it to be topped off...GREAT!
In convinced, everyone needs a tom tom around the shop! Merry Christmas from East TN!
Great job everyone heavy wreaker is coming along nicely we look forward to the maiden voyage, great video thank's for sharing God bless ❤😉👍

What stuff is harbor freight ?
@@bmichelin1574 The Badland winches, some of the stuff like lights, and some tools are harbor freight.
Love the wrecker. Im a fabricator and I always try to over build so I'm not rebuilding things all the time. And that thing is a tank well thought out and done right in my book can't wait to see it on the trail. Also Im with Lizzie nothing like laying big fat bead on thick plate steel.
When I first started watching MORR Matt was anti winch and lived life as light as possible. Now everything seems to getting heavy fast.
Don't forget the tires keep getting bigger and bigger as well
THE best part of all this is watching Lizzie's welding get better all the time, the weld on the front bash plate was mint!
Love watching the build .. one concern for me is what that rig is going to weigh! You may need more engine! 🤠
They weighed it several weeks ago and it was around 10k.
Plenty of engine. GM used that same engine in their medium duty trucks up to 26,000 gvw
Can always gear down to get more torque at the wheels, Morrvair is only 240hp and does some nasty work with it. Weight isn't as much an issue as PSI on her foot, thus massive tires that you can air way *way* down.
The 8.1 will handle the weight fine. The propane bobtail I drive for work has an 8.1 that runs off LPG so it's even down on power a bit. It grosses about 30K fully loaded and it gets down the road at freeway speeds just fine, plus plenty of mountain climbing on logging roads to get to cabins with probably not near as low gearing as the heavy wrecker has.
He's putting in a Texas Speed big block so yeah, no worries about power. He asked them to build the engine as if they were building it for a snow plow tractor. lol So torque is going to be insane!
Hydraulic steering of course. More complicated if something goes wrong, but you will enjoy 4 wheel steering after all. Again curious about what you're going to name it. I've always stuck with 'The War Rig' and I think Lizzy hat green and your yellow would be a good paint scheme. Thumbs up.
Warthog wouldn't be bad. 4 wheel steering and a mean wrecking rig like a turret.
@@enderdragoon -- That's a good one too. 'Warthog'.
Hyd steering yes
Hydraulic steering
My vote, The Morrthog. Sound like MORRT Hog.
Love every build video on this rig, and can't wait to see it doing what it's built for.
You guys got it all put together and Lizzie welded it all up. It’s working and that’s great. Cool video. 👍❤️
Sunday mornings are filled with new content, and I always save the best for last.
I love watching you guys do what you do. Honestly. You've changed my life.
Hayduke? Nice to meet again. Been awhile…

Hey, have you found out anything about local recovery groups yet?
@@JohnFL Hey John! No, I need to do some engine work on my rig and find some tires before I can even drive it to shake it down, so my plans are on hold. I have to borrow some garage space to replace some gaskets and rebuild my carburetor, there's nowhere to do the work where I'm at. I have to admit, I'm feeling a little frustrated and deflated at the moment.
However, I was very pleasantly surprised at being remembered!!
@@DoctorHayduke How much rust is there on the body? Was it owned locally in Montana or somewhere else?
Totally injoyable content,. This wrecker is a masterpiece of engineering!!! And I'm hooked up on it already 🤗.... Pardon the pun😆😂🤣😁
Getting closer and closer. Can't wait to see it in action.
As for the pneumatic or hydraulic steering, I vote hydraulic. I believe a small hydraulic leak will be more easily spotted in its early stages than an air leak. And you've already shown in your test that it's going to take a whole lot of air pressure to move those and do you really want to have to maintain an air tank at that kind of pressure.
And while I've got your attention, please pay attention to your CAUTION! sign. You guys are doing an awful lot of drilling, grinding, and cutting without eye protection and as much as I hate to say it, it's not a matter of if but just a matter of when someone's going to have a potentially devastating eye injury due to this. I think the sign is a great idea but only if you're following it.

Love the channel, GREAT CONTENT and good fun.
The coolest thing ever is that LIZZY not only can break it but she can FIX IT to!! She is such a smart and knowledgeable girl and a great fabricator and welder! Don't ever take her for granted! (I know Matt respects and appreciates her and everyone who deserves it anyway, he is a good dude!) Good help is few and far between!
Always a good start to the day with a morr update 👍
Your front Skid plate needs a curve up so you don't hit on something flat that's really hard like rocks.
It needs more of a deflection type shape!
Great looking mount for the steering maybe it should have more angle to the front so it can slide over rocks easier

welding straight to the diff.. adventurous!
it is commonplace now. When I was younger nobody welded to the pumpkin.
I hope the fluid inside didn't carbonize
Put a 7-way plug on the trailer, so you can just recharge the battery for the winch while you're using it with the AUX power. Just make sure it's just on if the engine is running, not if the ignition is on stage 2 (so it won't charge while you're trying to start the car). And also make sure to put an amp limiter on it, so it won't try to drain the battery half empty in an instant, if the battery on the trailer is low.
Steering should be hydraulic. Pneumatic is great for industrial applications where you want something in or out. Air will compress and hydraulics won't. An air based system would cause you issues on some of the trails you crawl around on.
One other thing; stress cracks/split on sheet metal. On your hood where you cut out for the shocks, I would round the corners and not have them square. My experience tells me that as the hood flexes it will crack/split in the inside corners. You could also spot weld L shaped braces/reinforcement underneath back a little from the edge to somewhat conceal the braces/reinforcement, but with no sharp inside corners.
Who is going to paint the frame and stuff when done? What will be painted and what won't?
