if im not mistaken. u didnt get any cosmetics except primo, nita, shelly and jessie as the boxes only pulls items from characters that you have unlocked when clicking the stack of 500. if you finished the stack then claimed another box should have other cosmetics then.
this is consistent with how it functioned in the past iirc
The fact that these pins that comes with skins also counts as an item almost lowers the hype of getting a high number box
Boxes before: "Do you want leon from a mini box? No worries"
Boxes now: "Look, I know I'm a Mega Box, but best I can do is profile icons"

I don't think you need to worry about the drop rates, Kairos said that these drops are like from a small box, so that's 1/10 of a megabox.
So, we will get 10x more rewards from the megaboxes in the update!

This is about how I remember mega boxes. Sometimes you get Byron, Sandy, Amber and Leon in a row maxing your account. Sometimes you drop an entire brawl pass just to get Lou’s gadget. Think getting a few skins will spice up the dry streaks because we’re only getting like 20-30 maximum.

The only thing that would make this classic event better is if they added basic boxes in matches. Similar to the egg hunt event they had a while back. It’d just be cool if basic boxes spawned in matches.
I remember studying my rarity drop percentages every time I'd open mega boxes.
So glad they added mega boxes back, and that you can get gems from them

This is very nostalgic to had these mega box drop rate had a between 0.00453% and a 0.00734% if the update is here for the mega box event so the chances of getting higher gold and the gems had a 0.00130% i imagine its very low between 100 more, when event is here.

Consider that you dont have any brawlers on the first account and stardrops already give you lots of brawlers, they dont want to overdrive the progression, they want to give you skins and gems here in this event

You were saying about only getting cosmetics for certain brawlers. If I had to make a guess the brawlers you unlocked during the opening didn’t “load” in meaning if you opened another mega box after you would get cosmetics for all the brawlers you unlocked

I think the mega box icon like te place to collect them can replace the quest icon because its a little to much on the left side of the screen
i feel like they should make it so you know if your getting progression or cosmetics. Old boxes had this yellow square instead of red to represent tickets (back when they were in the game) i feel like they should do something similar but with cosmetics.

What I think will happen to Penny...in brawl stars you could see in brawl talk..everytime you open up the mode selection you see quotes from brawler with a pic of them...when we see penny's her pic is her old model so I think in this update they will change her model for this update to the old one for a limited time..

a high number can mean cosmetic or a brawler, if the number is glowing it's a brawler. if not its a icon, pin or skin

When you were opening the 100 boxes towards the end, the 1st time you got viking bull the game called it "Norse Raider Bull" but the 2nd time it was called "Viking Bull".
There are two versions of the skin, just like caveman frank, if you look closely they have different hair colors
