In my opinion Itachi is one of the most Unique, Authentic and Influential characters from the series. The thing that people underestimate about Itachi fights/encounters, isn't just his power, (it's mainly writters or Kishimoto's fault for making itachi seem or to look very powerful throughout the series) but how smart and intelligent he is during various situations, he never, ever underestimates his opponents because of his composure and his way of being, the level of thinking he's on honestly dwars most people in the series, with only people like Minato and Shikaku comparable with him. More precisly, Itachi isn't just an ordinary Shinobi also, he pretty much knows and he's also aware that all strong opponents have weaknesses (including himself), and he specializes in finding those "weaknesses" and exploiting them ("*Even the strongest of opponents always has a weakness*" - Uchiha Itachi) Itachi is very unique and authentic, especially in the factor of facing various encounters approach, his unpredictability in his way of fighting style approach it's his key factor in all of his encounters. Being blind or nearly blind has never slowed him down (especially when he's pretty much serious, but that's the point, he has never go all out against anyone during the series xD) Itachi it's that type of character who can exceed almost any expectations. (at least that's what we were shown in the anime by the creator Masashi Kishimoto). Moral of the story, never underestimate Itachi. He did more sick then most healthy ninjas do in their entire life. In my opinion No One should underestimate such an unpredictable Shinobi like Itachi, even Madara (I won't say that Itachi can beat him, but at least he will be pretty much able to put a decent fight that Madara will also be impressed in my opinion). Also how can they even consider that Totsuka Blade it's slow when no such speed feat has been shown through the Shippuden that state it that it is slow? All of you are assuming it to be slow it may not be the case... Its not that the sword is unavoidable but it clearly has a very long range and is a very long blade. If you look at the manga, Naruto, Bee and Itachi are all relatively small from Nagato's point of view, and you can see the Totsuka Blade extending all the way from Itachi, piercing through Nagato, and still managing to nearly pop out toward the reader out of the page. I would say its fast because Kabuto coudldn't even react to it, and its not like Nagato was completely immobile to the point that he couldn't sidestep the blade. Also, Kabuto controlling people from far away is never stated to inhibit the Edos' reaction speed in any way. Being controlled by someone thousands of miles away didn't stop the Third Raikage from dodging KCM Naruto's Rasenshuriken. And as for Orochimaru, the sword struck him in between syllables of a word during his speech. I think that that is pretty fast. Pair the Totsuka Blade with a good feint and its lethal because its ethereal, meaning it can pierce through any object. If the sword didn't live up to its reputation then Orochimaru wouldn't seek it out. People need to stop downplaying and denying the very clear speed feats of Totsuka. There is no room for interpretations here. The advantage of being an Uchiha, especially for Itachi and Madara, is that during an encounter against them, they always have a counter because of their unpredictable way of fighting factor, they don't run out of options or techniques, they almost always have a counter in their arsenal, even forbidden jutsus seems irrellevant against them, only a few Uchihas know a certain way to approach the situation with a certain and effective technique, that's why is hard/difficult to fight against them in my opinion. ☯️ 🤷♂️

That's the thing. Itachi was never really that strong. He had very limited chakra, and a few powerful jutsu that would hurt himself a lot when used.
He was just smart at utilizing what he had. He used them effectively that it made him seem invincible, though he wasn't.

Of all the characters of Naruto, Itachi seems to be in a different league, he is so different from the rest in all perspectives. His mindset, perceptions, presence are all so good no other character has attracted me the way itachi had. He is just more than a character for me. I have all of my respect only for Uchiha Itachi🛐❤.

No debate imo. Kisame was under a genjitsu the whole time. Itachi too smart for him. Kisame is strong no doubt however Itachi was a genius. Itachi weaker by sickness but if you look at what he has under his arsenal (mangekyou, Susanoo, tsukuyomi, amaterasu etc... is too much for Kisame to handle.
No, Kosame is no dummy and knows Itachi very well. Itachis Sickness gives him low stamina. Kisame stamina is basically infinite thanks to his large Chakra and samehada. His Chakra level, Samehada and abortion abilities is too much for Itach
I am not sure who who would win fighting physically (non illusion). Totsuka, a sword that can absorb every existing thing it touch but it's material is could be neutralized by samehada, chakra eater

Personally, no I don't think it would. Koto has never been shown to work against someone who is not reanimated and has a full MS by bare minimum to work on. So it seem to have the same weakness as Tsykuomi when it comes to resisting it.

Shisui was going to do it regardless. But hey, maybe Shisui is your average typical low IQ Uchiha. It's kind of in their DNA when it comes to troubleshooting.

Might as well be Shisui, oh wait he is dead by this point. Well, the second best is the one who used the eye. It's a process and will take diplomacy. The damage was not permanently done by the Uchiha at this point so they still can withdraw and smoke Danzo out while negotiating the terms of peace and order. Danzo calling the Uchiha coup and turns out there was no coup. Whoopsy daisy, Danzo F'd it up. Good riddance to his trash anbu root and to himself.
There are countless of variations how things could've done. I am not the author and neither are you. Speculating these any further is not productive when it comes to defining a character to be smart. That was the whole point with my first reply.

The Uchiha plan for a coup wasn't because of Danzo's hatred towards Uchiha, or any other individual. That was the consequence throughout hundred years the Uchiha suffered discrimination from the majority of Konoha, since the 2nd Hokage era and even from the 1st Hokage era. Especially after the tragic event when nine-tailed attacked the village, caused death of the 4-th free couple and hundred others, the suspicion and discrimination against the Uchiha reached its peak because only Uchiha's doujutsu was known for the ability to control such a tailed beast (and indeed, this suspicion is so true). That was the final straw for the Uchiha's feud, and they had planned to rebel for years since then. Changing anyone's mind therefore cannot stop the whole clan's determination. And if you don't know, except for Hiruzen who still hesitated, the other Leaf's elders strongly agree with Danzo and want to wipe the Uchiha out ,as they considered Uchiha a big threat. Yes, it's also from the side of the Konoha leaders. Most of them had suspicion on Uchiha for very long time and just want to cleanse this clan asap. So now think of it, how just by hypnotizing Danzo or Fugaku can appease the Uchiha's wrath and the hatred from Konoha towards Uchiha that accumulate for ages?
If you think the tension can be eased by one of the Konoha leaders or the Uchiha leader changing his mind and going for a friendly talk with the other, then congrats, you've just thought like Shisui. And Danzo, despite being an asshole, was completely right saying Shisui was just so naive thinking like that.
In short, changing an individual's mind does nothing to ease the severe conflict between an entire clan and the village that has been going on for a long time, which is the reason for the Uchiha coup.

Not saying that I am taking it, because I am not. It's just an insult from you to go throughout explanation over self-explanatory topic -- which I undeniably already explained how pointless this is from the get-go.

@@mazharimam6827 Never heard of zonbi kombi, but by-the-by, all of them were killed in tactful battles that lead to the plot making sense. It's not like they were beat by b or a rank ninjas. They were normally outnumbered and the enemy had an advantage which they couldn't overcome. This is called having intel and that intel is vital in battles.

In my opinion Itachi is one of the most Unique, Authentic and Influential characters from the series. The thing that people underestimate about Itachi fights/encounters, isn't just his power, (it's mainly writters or Kishimoto's fault for making itachi seem or to look very powerful throughout the series) but how smart and intelligent he is during various situations, he never, ever underestimates his opponents because of his composure and his way of being, the level of thinking he's on honestly dwars most people in the series, with only people like Minato and Shikaku comparable with him. More precisly, Itachi isn't just an ordinary Shinobi also, he pretty much knows and he's also aware that all strong opponents have weaknesses (including himself), and he specializes in finding those "weaknesses" and exploiting them ("*Even the strongest of opponents always has a weakness*" - Uchiha Itachi) Itachi is very unique and authentic, especially in the factor of facing various encounters approach, his unpredictability in his way of fighting style approach it's his key factor in all of his encounters. Being blind or nearly blind has never slowed him down (especially when he's pretty much serious, but that's the point, he has never go all out against anyone during the series xD) Itachi it's that type of character who can exceed almost any expectations. (at least that's what we were shown in the anime by the creator Masashi Kishimoto). Moral of the story, never underestimate Itachi. He did more sick then most healthy ninjas do in their entire life. In my opinion No One should underestimate such an unpredictable Shinobi like Itachi, even Madara (I won't say that Itachi can beat him, but at least he will be pretty much able to put a decent fight that Madara will also be impressed in my opinion). Also how can they even consider that Totsuka Blade it's slow when no such speed feat has been shown through the Shippuden that state it that it is slow? All of you are assuming it to be slow it may not be the case... Its not that the sword is unavoidable but it clearly has a very long range and is a very long blade. If you look at the manga, Naruto, Bee and Itachi are all relatively small from Nagato's point of view, and you can see the Totsuka Blade extending all the way from Itachi, piercing through Nagato, and still managing to nearly pop out toward the reader out of the page. I would say its fast because Kabuto coudldn't even react to it, and its not like Nagato was completely immobile to the point that he couldn't sidestep the blade. Also, Kabuto controlling people from far away is never stated to inhibit the Edos' reaction speed in any way. Being controlled by someone thousands of miles away didn't stop the Third Raikage from dodging KCM Naruto's Rasenshuriken. And as for Orochimaru, the sword struck him in between syllables of a word during his speech. I think that that is pretty fast. Pair the Totsuka Blade with a good feint and its lethal because its ethereal, meaning it can pierce through any object. If the sword didn't live up to its reputation then Orochimaru wouldn't seek it out. People need to stop downplaying and denying the very clear speed feats of Totsuka. There is no room for interpretations here. The advantage of being an Uchiha, especially for Itachi and Madara, is that during an encounter against them, they always have a counter because of their unpredictable way of fighting factor, they don't run out of options or techniques, they almost always have a counter in their arsenal, even forbidden jutsus seems irrellevant against them, only a few Uchihas know a certain way to approach the situation with a certain and effective technique, that's why is hard/difficult to fight against them in my opinion. ☯️ 🤷♂️
We did get Itachi vs Pain in the anime. Though it wasn't a one vs one fight.

It uses up a lot of chakra, so most will reserve for their Susano or other visual jitsu

The sharingan skill is NOT to “copy”, is to PREDICT what will the opponent do.
Kakashi used this to copy jutsus effectively. You could say no other Uchiha thought about that possibility, and focused more on the Shurikens usage instead.

@@chrismcc2317 itachi can't beat kisame that easy. Itachi is genjutsu dependent for fighting someone like kisame. Kisame is an anti-ninjutsu fighter yet having good physical strength better than itachi so there's no way itachi could beat him without genjutsu, especially without sweating a bit. Kisame weakness are genjutsu n taijutsu so that's why kisame lost to guy cuz all it need to beat him other than illusion is physical power stronger than him
