Wow, Beth! How wonderful. They are going to go so quickly. I love your artistic style.
PS I have only worked on my fakir Blythes and I've sanded them but not carved them as I do not yet have the tools. I really appreciated your comparison shots in this video.
Thank you so much Sara!
Ooh I hope it goes well when you do!! ^_^
Thanks for the tips Beth and can't wait to see these ladies finished
No problem! Thank you ^_^
It was interesting to see the difference between the face plates. The little sander is cute and I'm looking forward to part two❣️ ❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for watching Milly! Yes it's pretty handy! Part 2 coming soon ;)
Oh My. I bet these sell quickly.
My Experience? The only Registered Blythe Doll that I customized, was the Ashton Drake. She came all apart, and sanded. Otherwise, I have done many Blythe Customs, all sizes, and boys also. ;-)
You are brave. ;-) Nice new tools.
Aww thank you!! I have yet to figure out pricing, that's always hard.
Ah yes, gosh you have so many great stock/genuine girls now! I keep a casual eye out for a Kenner, no luck yet ;)
Thank you for sharing your process. I find that your work is very detailed and fine. I am excited to see part 2. Laurie
Thank Laurie! I'm enjoying doing some carving again! It's exciting to see them come together ^_^
Great video! Can’t wait to see part 2 I hope you are doing well and enjoying your day have a wonderful weekend my friend ♥️♥️♥️
Thanks so much! It'll be ready very soon ^_^
I can't wait to see who these little ladies become. All will be beautiful, of that I am certain. 🤍💛🤍
Aww thank you so much Eileen! ^_^
Great to see the comparison and thank you for the advice 🥰🥰
You’re very welcome! 😊
Thanks for this really informative video. I thought I added a comment earlier, but I don't think I saved it properly. I noticed that the new GSC T-bar is very similar to the NBL Blythes - these dolls also have the plate on the inside of the dome. Very interesting!!
Thank you! Oh CZcams does seem to vanish comments sometimes! Yes it's great to be able to compare them isn't it ^_^
Looking forward to seeing part 2.
Thank you! Coming soon ;)
I love watching this❤❤❤❤
Thank you so much Patricia! ^_^
The comparison is really interesting!
Thanks so much! ^_^
Also looking forward to part 2
Thank you! Coming soon... ^_^
I am looking forward to seeing 3 different face customs on next video!
Thank you so much! Aww it'll take me a bit longer to finish and dress all three, but you'll see part 2 very soon! ;)
Hi Beth, I am so excited to see what you do with these little girls. It's almost Autumn and I am almost becoming myself again. This has been a very hot Summer and intense heat for sure. I have never, ever customized a Blythe Doll. Hopefully one day I can try it, let's see how my left hand handles it. I am so excited to see how well you do for the Blythe Con. When is it? Not sure if I know? How is Evie doing? Is she back to school yet? I am looking forward to seeing you make your wedding gown for a Blythe Doll as well. Have fun customizing these girls.
Hi Elaine! Thank you, we are all very well ^_^ BlytheConUK is October 7th, not long now! Aww thank you!
I have learned a lot from your channel. I’ve ordered my first Blythe doll. I’ve customized Paola Reina dolls and intend to try a Blythe. Question; do you use acetone to remove factory paint? How do you remove remaining pencil marks after carving is complete? Thank so much. ❤
Thank you! Sorry for the late reply! No I always use a very fine grit sandpaper to remove the shiny finish and factory paint. The sanding removes all the pencil marks at the end too ✨☺️✨
I learned many things with this video . When you carve a glossy face it gets matte but, do I need to repaint the face with the skin tone?
The plastic is the same colour all the way through, so you’ll only lose any colour that was on the surface (like lips or blush). I recommend carefully sanding the whole face before you add colour and sealant though, so it’s consistent across the whole face.
I have watched hours of your videos while customizing my first Blythe. I’m so close to finishing and I’m in love with her for my first try. I ordered some hair and want to reroot. My question is, can I use her original scalp plugs to reroot? And just remove her original hair? Or will I need to buy a new scalp and make new holes? I never see videos using the original scalp.
I also ordered one of your neck joints and can’t wait to receive it!
Oh how wonderful! Thank you ^_^
Yes there's no reason not to re-use the scalp think. just re-paint it to match your new hair colour, and use the locked loop method for security, follow what was there before.
Awesome! I hope it's there nice and quick for you! ^_^
💖💖💖💖💖
Thanks so much!
I have a question, how do you take the scratches on the face after sending?
You should be using a very high grit sandpaper, not a rough one. You'll want to use a few different grits to smooth out the face if you have scratches. Start with something like 400/600, and work up to 800/1000/1200. Hope that helps! ^_^
Hiii what did material u used to make the Blythe doll looking smooth n mate thank uu hope u answer my question 💖
I used very high grit sand paper and the matte sealant is called Mr. Super Clear - links in the FAQ page (linked in description)
For wath do you do that with the light please ?
The light shows where the plastic is thick or thin. This is important to check while you’re carving the face so you don’t create new holes! 😆
Hi quick question because I am new to building Blythe dolls and I really want to customize one. The original bodies blended, but could not be taken apart like for different hand positions, etc right? So are those part fake? Or from a new genuine Blythe company? Thank you
You’ll see the genuine Blythe dolls on Junie Moon and The Good Smile Company, their bodies have very simple articulation, and no removable parts. The jointed bodies are usually sold with the DBS (lookalike) dolls on AliExpress. Hope that helps! 😄
@@BethRamsden thank you! where can I find the genuine bending body with no removal parts?
@@aliciakatsouris Junie moon or the good smile company. They don’t sell bodies separately though, so you would have to try to find someone selling theirs second hand, I would try eBay, or online doll groups?
Hola 👋🏻
