God Bless all the PEOPLE & BUSINESSES in S.F. Chinatown
Support your local business!
I was there just yesterday. It's pretty sad in Chinatown. Streets are empty. Shops are closed. Really cool place to visit. I hope Chinatown can survive. Would ruin the city if they start building 2 million dollar condos in that neighborhood
@@OpiumBride oh wow. I think it's because I went on a Monday night. But yeah streets were empty, and the only thing I saw open was Sam Wo and a camera shop.
@@OpiumBride super busy? lines at the door at several dim sum restaurants? Those places on Stockton st are tiny and you can't sit inside.
All the gift shops are empty on Grant. I live on California at Stockton, and this is what I see.
Oh just go there and support their businesses if you live in San Fran.
People really over looking the historical aspect of Chinatown's all across the nation but especially more so for SF and NY's Chinatowns. They harbor so much cultural history for generations of immigrants who have touched down and setup roots here in America. As a SF native, I try my best to at least get pastries/dim sum from Chinatown once a week. All we can do at the moment is to try our best to kick some of our discretionary income (if any of us have the luxury of doing so) towards these small businesses during these wild and historical (unfortunately the bad part of history) times...
Good on you! I live in NYC but grew up in SF. Unfortunately I live about 45 mins in either direction of Flushing or Manhattan Chinatown so it’s not convenient considering I don’t go out much. But the few times I’ve gone it seems our Chinatowns here are doing ok. I mean, as well as one can in a pandemic
The community is in my prayers. I worked on the corner of Grant and California for Ma Bell in the early 80s. It is a vibrant and resilient community that has survived racism, SARS, and many economic challenges. I visit almost every year and I look forward to getting back later this year. 🙏💪🌏🌍🌎❤️🇺🇸🖖
The grocery stores in Chinatown are packed by the way
People still need groceries. It’s everything else that is impacted.
Coming out there next week! Definitely will be supporting my fellow Asian Americans!!!
Chinese people are surviving people they will survive.
@@guardian8319 credit US for the Spanish flu and not taking blame for millions of deaths worldwide
Actually they're Americans. Their ancestors came from China as long as 170 years ago and they've preserved their culture since then, but they're 100% American.
Most wonderful neighborhood in San Francisco! Market street is number two (chicken roasted), then the WARF (seafood). Chinatown is history!
Went to visit in 2007 and this place was magical, and the local people just the best in all thing cultural. I am a chef to trade and this place makes the heart sing for joy at food and culture combined. [Lochness Scottish Highlands }
I miss san Francisco Chinatown
The Chinese are the only people in San Francisco that are not weirdos or kooks .
but the only ones who don’t watch around them when people is trying to pass 😒

Pleaaaaaaaaaaaase.. DO YOU EVEN REALIZE THAT CHINA HAS PISSED OFF THE ENTIRE WORLD THEN LABELED EVERYONE AS RACIST??!!!!
Sucks to see how small businesses are falling apart, meanwhile the big corporations are only getting richer. The people are to afraid to go support small businesses but they can go to all the shopping malls, Walmarts and grocery stores.
I love San Francisco's China town.
People are going shopping downtown union square but can’t support your local community but can support a damn Gucci bag? WTPanda
There is only one race THE HUMAN RACE love all support all and god will reward those who do nothing but show love
Grant Street is such a fun walk
I live in Minnesota, I wish we could have a China town. I will going to there every weekends.
I go through Chinatown almost once a week and try and go more. my father used to bring us there when we would go shopping and used to live in the suburbs I really looked forward to each visit. Now that I live in the City it's a must more than ever to come and support business and enjoy that wonderful food. Grant Ave is suffering but Stockton St is still getting support from the locals.
We will be there!
I hope everything will get better soon
I liked San Francisco Chinatown. I am an San Francisican. I hope business there will begin to come back after the covid pandemic. Miss the fortune 🥠cookies, the Chinese restaurants there, and the food there.
So sad... I love Chinatown.
I’m going to china town tomorrow and get some of those dumplings and pot stickers.
What about the China town in Oakland, all I hear is San Francisco from the news 🗞
I didn’t know It
@@j.s27 I didn’t even go to china town , i don’t like sushi 🍣, tacos 🌮 and burritos 🌯 are better
@@j.s27 not sure if it went through but Latino owned business in San Francisco were set to receive about 30 million in aid while Asian owned business are not receiving even a quarter of that. Because of this I’m not mad that China town is being in the news more than other areas/neighborhoods. But as some else mentioned, Oakland’s China town should be mentioned.
I do not miss the overcrowded MUNI bus on Stockton Street from Chinatown to Union Square. Holding on to my sanity most of the way. Off the bus after the tunnel I return to normal breathing.
We can actually see the city streets 👍🏾
Why doesn't Pelosi have everyone over for ice cream?????
What’s the regular adult X rated at 1:43?
Probably the fortunes are geared towards adults
SF Chinatown use to be so lively and now there is barely anyone on the streets😭😭😭
I feel so lonely now also I can’t get any red envelopes 😔😔☹️☹️
Hang in there. People haven't been able to spend money for the past year. When things return to normal, hopefully in a few short months, people will flock to Chinatown and spend like they never have before. Much better times are coming for you all.
Not when many haven’t made money for a year, deferred rent is piling up...This disaster will be here for years. Some will come out unscathed, but not all.
In spite of Newsollini, the dragon won’t die. Fight on!
Its Sad our NYC Chinatown is Suffering very badly due to Covid.
Get rid of the mayor in San Francisco she is horrible
Indeed
Support local businesses. Fyi, those fortune cookies are the best tasting I've ever had, please buy them. They sell t-shirts, I bought a t-shirt to help. They're always on the verge of shutting down because the rent is too high. Some of the grocery markets & to-go food seem okay, but I think it's the other businesses that need help. Maybe the business association could put out a list of places still open that locals can visit? Please?
2021 Year of the Ox 🐂 It will be a prosperous and abundant year!!!! 🙏🏼✌🏼
The sad part is their not staying alive. We went and it’s so dead. Half the businesses are permanently closed
It's unfortunate that the scamdemic has destroyed so many businesses. However, in terms of Chinatown, I think it's being supported now primarily by the locals. Yes, Grant Street is a ghost town, but Stockton is quite vibrant, with many people. I am not Chinese, but I love walking through Chinatown and heading over to the Wheat Field Bakery. Another elephant in the room is the years of democratic leadership that has reduced tourism long before the scamdemic.
Recall Governor Newsom
Oh I those pot stickers looked delicious
I love Chinatown 🐔
❤🙏❤🙏❤
Fire Newsom and that will be the first step!
SUPPORT THE HOMELESS
👍👍👍
Im going I love Sf and hate what is happening to the city
If Chinatown goes out of business, then those thieves will starve.
Can't believe someone put a mask on the clay warrior
Come back and support our local businesses! But, wear your masks and socially distance.
Free happy endings?
Get rid the homeless and SF should be fine.
What do you mean get rid of them? Better hope you don't become homeless one day.
@@wilburash8315 That’s never gonna happen to me. In fact, those homeless are drug addicts not the super poor type of homelessness you see in the third world country...
make parking free valet parking. i never go to this high price parking area

No-Problems?
While Oakland Chinatown is dead.
SAD,
SF Chinatown is history ROOTS growing everyday in making. 🇺🇸
不知他们会不会说中文?
San Francisco's political leadership is incompetent. SF needs new political leadership.
And why make claims without any specifics? What more did you want the leaders to do? I don't think you realize how tied their hands are on most issues. They can only do so much, and there's a fine line between what needs to be done to fix the issues we have and maintaining human decency. Tell us how you would fix things?
China Town community- send your complaints to gavin nuisance....he closed you down.
Could do what Florida is doing...staying open.
The year of the Ox... Question who is driving it. If the master is bad... then there is no hope... Yes depend on your Democrats master.. This coming years will tell a lot.
London Greed finally can get her hands on the Chinatown real estate woohoo.
Chinatown staying alive nooo thanks to negga Breed
Their community was pretty racist during the mayor race with Mayor Breed! Put out poster with her smoking weed and worse!
No masks? Looks like they are not worried about anything. But they eat a lot of veggies!!
Did you only watch the first minute? People are all wearing masks
raezworld ya they’re just enjoying the area.
There's nothing to worry about but the economy crashing! Who gives a rat's ass about covid. Its about the economy!!! Bills are still coming , still need to eat, live under a roof!
The footage in the beginning is from three years ago. Did you even watch the video, dum dum?
@@FalloutConspiracy right?!🙄
So why don't everybody just get on their hands and knees and pray to the ox, since they look to it for prosperity.
CCP’s fault maybe?
two words. Nancy Pelosi.

Screw the sfmta to park in chinatown 5 dollars an hourvto buy broccoli beef. Just go to Panda Express
Hello just give me free parking
Bruh 😂
Massage parlors that’s how
I will support y you when you quit voting Crazy Nancy in office.
Now they wish they were in China.
Could this be considered bad Karma for China? Just saying . . . . . ..
Chinatown is in the United States of America and a fair amount of the residents are US citizens
They are paying taxes to the Californian state government and also the federal government, which you might actually get some of their taxes when treating the Intellectual disability you might have
Chinatown should start boarding up.
