Check out his latest videos over the past couple months. He's been talking about just that! But if you want some immediate advice, it really depends on what exactly you wanna do in IT. Having a degree is great, but you don't wanna go into debt if you don't have to either. Certifications are huge. Usually, employers want a healthy mix of school and certs.

Please do more of these. There arent many Aruba videos out there, especially for the older switches. I've got a 2930f I've been playing with for awhile, and there isnt much information out there. Doesnt help that im a noob :)
Off topic but where did you get your eyeglasses frames? They look great and I want to change to something with less bulk. If you have an affiliate link that would be great. And very well done on the videos and courses. Your presentations are the first I recommend to clients and users that are interested in what is involved with cybersecurity and how it can be compromised.
Very helpful for configuration on site, however, I always loved the traditional way of using Putty. That black screen with rolling lines gives me the feeling that I'm hacking into secret government databases 😂😂
Very interesting video, been interested in these switch’s for a while. Would be super cool if your could also cover the management software Aruba central. I’m using a lot of unifi equipment and would be interested in how they compare and if it would be worth switching to Aruba.
I'm an ACEP and have extensive Aruba AO-S, CX-OS, Clearpass, Central, Airwave, Mobility Orchestrator and Mobility controller experience. I also have time on Unifi and they aren't in the same class nor in the same price point. Unifi is great for small office but the broad lack of features make it near impossible for any large campus/business settings. Some lacking features: No true L3 support. No ability to do LACP LAG on the UDM etc...
@@mnoble247 thanks for reply. Some of the switch’s like 2530-24G and 2930f-24 seem to similarly priced to UniFi. Are the licensing costs to high? Aruba instant seemed too limited for me. Also looking into Cisco small business products as they seem to solve a lot of issues e.g. decent routing, DMZ support, proper L3 support etc.
Heads up with Aruba. If you have a Samsung Android phone, there is something with the way the phone works that will not allow bluetooth and wireless at the same time.
